“Amaya was fantastic! She was right on time and sent us pictures and videos of our cat to show us that he was doing fine. We were reassured that he was relaxed, well-fed, and happy while we were away. We will definitely be calling her again and highly recommend her services.”

“MaKayla was great and helped us out on short notice as we had just moved to area. She was awesome on communication and sending pics of the cats during the visits. Definitely recommend and would use her again!”

About: One of the best parts of my day is waking up to a sweet little furbaby ready to start it with me. I grew up caring for many different animals and we spent most days active outdoors with them. I have experience delivering puppies, administering medications, and had multiple litters of puppies/kittens. I have cared for Boxers, Great Danes, Golden Retrievers, Dachshunds, Golden doodles, Maltese, shih tzu, French Bulldogs, and many more breeds along with cats, fish, and a few birds. I have worked with all sizes and ages and know how important it is to maintain their normal routine. I even cared for horses out in Montana.I work remotely while traveling and pet sitting around the world. It's been several years of caring for animals and 3 years of full time travel. I am more than willing to ask questions to be best prepared when caring for your animals and will pay special attention to any instructions you have for their scheduled medication, feeding routines, or exercise requirements. I’m an outdoor enthusiast so any activities you’d like them to have while you’re away will be welcomed! I usually follow their routine as close as possible to decrease stress and anxiety. If pet parents do not have a routine of their own then I start days around 6:30/7:00am. I will go for a run or have outdoor time before breakfast and then have a few meetings for work. I usually only have a few hours of remote work so then I am free for the afternoon to play and get some energy out with them before dinner around 5:30/6:00pm. It really depends on their age and the needs, but there will be plenty of play and snuggles so they feel comfortable with our time. I usually go to their homes and try to make sure they stay on their schedule with meals, play time, and treats. I watch out for anything that could be torn up or wind up in their mouths also. I want them to feel calm and comfortable with me so I give them space if needed, but this more applies to cats that would rather lounge unbothered.
About: Not only do I absolutely love animals but I’m also a certified veterinary assistant. Caring for animals is a passion! Contact me for dates and details! I’m currently a stay at home mom, so I have plenty of time to care for my clients fur babies! I am a friendly and reliable pet sitter with over 5 years of experience as a veterinary assistant. I specialize in drop-in visits and dog walks for both dogs and cats. I’m comfortable administering medications and always treat every pet like part of my own family. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I do not currently offer in home visits due to my pets not being other pet friendly, but I will do everything possible to care for your pets in home. (Drop in’s)
“Breaunna was professional and had great communication with me while I was away. I’m cautious of who I leave my fur child with, but I felt so at ease knowing she was in great hands. Would definitely recommend!”

“As always, Jonatan is absolutely amazing! The service he provides is better than 5 stars! He loves our dogs so much and our dogs love him. We always get the cutest pictures and makes me feel at ease knowing he is there with them!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
