About: I have a genuine love for animals and understand how important it is to provide them with patience, attention, and a safe environment. I’m dependable, caring, and willing to take the time to learn each dog’s personality, routine, and individual needs. I do have a grasp of understanding canine body language and when they’re comfortable vs uncomfortable. I also have a lot of experience with smaller fuzzy friends such as rabbits and hamsters as well! I currently am new to the area looking for employment, and starting my pre requisites for Del Tech Community College. I have pretty open availability and flexibility for your furry friends. I can very much insure the security of leashes, collars and or harness for walks, as well as helping pups into crates if they’re crate trained at home. Helping younger pups learn with simple commands and positive reinforcement is also something I’m willing to do!
“Hi highly recommend Jessica. She was able to get my Skitch kitty to come out from hiding and took the time with her during her visits to let her in the deck and for some pets. Thank you Jessica! 🙂”

About: If your furbaby desires love and affection then we are it! I have to small children ages 9yrs old that love animals just as much. Plenty of snuggles to give as well as walks and playtime 🐶 I am currently at home and have time to provide the attention and needs that your furbaby requires. During the day my kids will be in school but after school, if your little one loves attention, playtime or a lap to snuggle on; we have you covered. I have to cats, one afraid of her own shadow and will sneak in to visit once in a while where the other cat is just curious and wants a friend. Both friendly and loving.
“Jermaine went out of his way to make sure our dogs were well taken care of while we were gone. He was on time every day and sent pictures on a daily basis. He came to the house the day before to see the dogs and go over feeding and meds and even cleaned the kennel area in the house garage before we got back. We look forward to having him back in the future.”
About: Hey my name is Brooklyn! I have been around pets my whole life and have a very deep love for all animals! I am very lenient with pets, they are allowed on furniture and they won’t be crated unless that is your preference. I have two mini dachshunds at home, they are very friendly and enjoy having other pups over! I have a very flexible schedule! If your pup is staying over, I am home most of the time unless I need to step out for an errand! I also have two pups of my own so meshing your pets into our routine is easy! We are very open to pets in our home, our pups lay on the couch and sleep in the bed. We do have a fenced in back yard for running and playing!
About: I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. My dogs are Angus (a 12 year old Bugg (pug/boston terrier mix) and Archie (a 7 year old Boston Terrier). I also have a 16 year old cat named George who I rescued about 3 years ago. He was an outdoor cat for his entire life, but I've turned him into a spoiled indoor cat. No one thought I could do it, but here we are. Finally, I have one little girl in the bunch - a cat named Izzy (Isobel Rua) who is 9 months old. I've worked with a couple of rescues over the years and have fostered many dogs and cats. In addition to fostering, my rescue work also included coordinating, conducting and meeting rescue transports, administering meds to animals that were transported into the rescue and handling adoptions and home visits, care for kittens and puppies and elderly animals. I have had at least one dog in my life for just about my entire life. Cats came later in life when I had my kids because when I was a child myself, I wasn't allowed to have a cat. Over the years, I've learned about as much about cats as I know about dogs. My animals are well loved and cared for and I am very good at building new relationships with dogs and cats - meeting them where they are and working with them based on their individual cues and needs, not human expectations. I have years of experience that has benefited me with extremely well behaved and happy animals. Before moving to Delaware, I was the unofficial dog/cat sitter for my neighborhood. I decided then that I would like to at least start doing this professionally on a part time basis. Now that I've been here for a little more than a year, the time is right for me to start. First with daily check ins and walks. Perhaps overnights with pets in my home on on a case by case basis since I have my own fur babies here. Your pets would be in great hands with me. I work full time from home and can do occasional walks and check in's during my work day. I have more availability after work and on the weekends. I walk my own dogs in the mornings, but I can check in on yours as needed. Either a visit to feed and play for a bit or for a quick walk. Overnight stays at my home for your dogs is a possibility on a case by case basis.

“Excellent! I hope I'm not underselling with a one-word review, but the word "excellent" needs no explanation. We're proud of our copper boy and so thankful to Julie M. for allowing us to have a worry-free day when we really needed one. Julie, thank you! Sincerely! Patrick”

About: With over 10 years of experience breeding, raising and caring for dogs, I have worked extensively with Rottweilers, Pitbulls, Shihpoohs, Shihtzus, and Frenchies. I live on 2 acres of land, providing plenty of space for dogs to safely play, explore, and enjoy outdoors! As a busy and large family, dogs in our care are accustomed to a loving, family friendly environment filled with attention, affection, and companionship. Over the years, I have also cared for numerous dogs belonging to family members and friends, treating each one as if they were my own. I am passionate about canine health and wellness. I prioritize high quality nutrition, offer raw diet feeding options upon owner request, and regularly incorporate healthy organic fruits and natural treats into our feeding routines. My goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, and enriching home where your dog feels comfortable, loved and part of the family while you’re away. I am a business owner who work right at home, where I care for our own dogs and our clients dogs. I have ample time to dedicate to your pet daily. I have allocated kennels and open land for the dogs to exercise and play. I have limited neighbors, and an entire facility for comfortable and personable sleeping arrangements and cooling/heating depending on outdoor weather.
About: I have had dogs since I was a baby. I have cared for dogs of every stage of life, and I’m super passionate about senior dogs and small animals. Both my dogs are friendly with ferrets and other small animals, always supervised of course. I have experience in dogs, cats, ferrets, and all rodents. No experience with reptiles but I have read a lot about the husbandry of geckos and bearded dragons. Always willing to learn to have your pet be most comfortable in our home. I currently work from home so I have plenty of extra time for animals. We (my husband and I) already dedicate a huge portion of our time to our dogs so we would love to add more to the mix lol. My daughter (6yo) also loves animals and is learning the ropes of helping take care of them (future vet in the making) ☺️ We have a very big yard, and while it’s not fenced in there is still plenty of space to run on a lead! I can also help with potty training, pad training and lead training as well as socializing with our two friendly, calm older dogs.

I love all animals and I believe they all deserve the best possible care we can provide! I’m currently a stay at home mom with two adult children and one child in kindergarten! I will have plenty of time to play with and care for your fur (or feather or scale or what have you!) babies! I have a small dog and a cat that are friendly and would get along well with other animals. I enjoy walking pets and cuddling as well!

House sitting is obviously involved and I am ready for whatever you need me to do around the house while you are gone! I can’t wait to meet you and you’re animal friend! I’m available any weekday anytime around 8am-6pm except on Tuesdays I need to be home by 5pm! Weekends would need a heads up and could only work until 2pm OR could only work at night! I will not be boarding animals at my house! I do not have the facilities for that and also have 3 crazy beagles at home who would not appreciate another animal in the house!

About: I've cared for and have had the privilege of sharing my life with dogs, cats, birds, horses, rabbits, and goats. I've been lucky enough to have raised three dogs from puppydom to senior pooches, all three living beyond 18. I currently share my home with a 13 years old Miniature Pinscher named Sadie. I couldn't imagine continuing on without a furry child in my life. They are central and that's how I feel about all my charges as well. I have extensive experience in caring for puppies, tweens, teens, adults and senior dogos. Unfortunately, I can no longer work with bully breed or bully mixes. I'm available anytime and often at short notice. I have no limitations or restrictions between the hours of 9A until 9P seven days a week. I can only care for small dogs (under 25 lbs) in my own home as my HOA has restrictions on pet size. In your home, your pet will be either King or Queen. They will be pampered and loved as you would want them to be.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of all ages and sizes for as long as I can remember! I have house sat anywhere from just one dog, to 11 dogs and 6 cats! From large Cane Corsos down to the family Guinea pig everyone gets the love and care they deserve and more. I’m currently working a part time job with flexible scheduling and would love to spend my extra time with as many four legged friends as possible! I love working with all animals! About: Over the past year, I've had the pleasure of caring for dogs and cats of all ages, from energetic puppies to sweet senior companions. Every pet has their own unique personality and routine, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I have experience administering medications to senior dogs and understand the importance of following care instructions carefully and consistently. Whether it's sticking to feeding schedules, giving medications, going for walks, or simply providing companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. When I house sit, I also take great pride in caring for your home. I always aim to leave it cleaner than I found it, so you can come home to happy pets and a tidy, well-cared-for space. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind, knowing both your furry family members and your home are in caring, reliable hands. Caring for animals is already woven into my daily rhythm. I work part-time with flexible hours, giving me plenty of space in my schedule for peaceful walks, playtime, and check-ins with pets. I’m used to creating a balanced routine around my own dog, and bringing that same calm, attentive energy to other pets feels completely natural. I am currently free to sit/walk any day of the week as well as house sit for as long as you need. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on creating a safe, calm, and familiar environment for them. I follow your routines exactly as you outline them — from feeding instructions to walk times to any training cues your dog is used to. I keep doors and gates secured, monitor their body language closely, and make sure they always have fresh water and a comfortable space to relax. Trust is extremely important to me, so I communicate clearly, send updates/photos, and treat your home with the same respect and care I treat your pet.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
