“Shawna watched my French Bulldog and Bull Terrier while I was out of town for about five days last summer, and I was so happy she did. She sent me photos, along with updates on how they were managing without me. I liked that she didn’t just stop by, feed them, and leave- but instead hung out with them for a little while. During that time I would get some incredible pictures of what they were up to while I was away. One of our dogs has medical needs and needs to take oral medicine twice a day. Now, anyone who has had to give their animals medicine knows it isn’t always an easy task. So, as trusting as she was of Chloe...she took the meds for her as if she were a pro! The Dogs are always excited to see Chloe, she really is the very best!”

About: BB’s bark &breakfast. Guests can stay with me in Superman land, southern IL. My canine or other guests will be free to roam the homes, and go on scheduled daily walks (two to three -or more upon request) They will never be unsupervised nor unleashed outside the house. Love the show Cesar 911- dog whisperer and YouTube/fb-“rocky sits with dogs” Prefer “chill” housebroken, also elder dogs, that can calmly walk on a leash. Good car riders a plus, but not required . No aggressive breeds. Retired with time to spoil your babies. Like I would my own grandkids. Laidback and chill lifestyle, wood floors. Although I’m “outta town” am willing to meet in town to pick up and drop off your baby(s) upon request If you prefer your baby uses a doggie den/crate during certain times of day or to sleep, then just let me know your/their preferred routine. Dogs need vacation too, but known routines can keep them comfortable and content, especially where it comes to diet and stomach needs. Bring what they are used to- and let me know what time they normally eat. A bed, blanket, or favorite toy can also help them cope with your absence.

About: I have grown up around animals all my life living out in the country. I grew up on a chicken farm and then from there 20+ acres of land with many animals I had to learn to care for at a young age. Additionally, I have also pet sit for my family and friends when they are out of town. I just recently pet sitted for about two months and it was a blast. It’s safe to say, I truly do have a love for any and every animal. Full time and part time availability! Flexible schedules available as well. I will work with with you in whatever way I can schedule wise to meet your needs. I go to your home , and take your dog and/or cat for walks to parks, trail, or around the neighborhood. And of course if there is a little time left, we’ll play one more time before I leave!

About: I have had dogs and cats all my life. I have lots of experience taking care of them, including feeding, walking and above all love. I am currently working part time. I am switching between the Carbondale and Cape Girardeau area. I have lots of free time to deliver pet care to a wide area. I'm flexible and understand that pet owners have specific needs for their animals, and I will cater towards that. For dog walking specifically, I know safe places for walks to ensure your pets safety. Additionally I have a pet seat belt in my car if needed, I am well prepared.

“Skyler has been taking care of our three littles for the last 3 years. We have a Tea Cup Maltese, Yorkie and a Cairen. When we travel for extended periods of time. He stays at our house and makes sure they are well taken care of and get all the attention that they demand. When we have extended work days he has been able to drop in to feed them and let them out. He always takes great care of them . We always feel comfortable with him being there for them.”

About: We have had dogs in the house ever since I was born. I first started dog sitting when I was 12 and have been around all different sizes, breeds, ages, etc. of pups! While all puppies are different, I have been able to train my own and a friend’s fur baby pretty well. I also am comfortable with senior fur babies who just want to lay around all day! Have more than one dog? That’s fine! I have watched up to 5 pups at one time! I would be willing to watch more too. Any questions about keeping your pups in my care? Just ask! I am currently enrolled as an online student at SEMO and work from home, so I will have plenty of time to take care of your pups! I am available on weekdays, and typically on weekends, as well. I have a big yard with a tie out cable attached to a very sturdy stake. To keep your fur babies company, I have one big pup, although she’s pretty lazy. However, I can keep them separated if need be! Your pups can be crated, or sleep right on the couch or bed. I am also very good at keeping owners updated with plenty of pictures of their pets!

“I don’t trust my dog with many people but I left my doberman Boris with Cameron for the weekend, and he was the happiest boy. He’s got a lot of separation anxiety so I worried he wouldn’t do well but she made sure he felt right at home. She sent me plenty of updates and pictures to let me know he was doing great. About: I’ve owned and cared for numerous different kinds of animals over my lifetime. I am very passionate about animals and their well-being.
