About: I have experience in working with animals in boarding and daycare and currently work as a veterinary assistant. I am trained in animal restraint, administering medications, and reading body language. I also have 4 family dogs and one of my own. Taking care of pets is my life. For work, I take care of animals at Cheat Lake Animal Hospital in General Practice as a Veterinary Assistant. I am also studying Veterinary Technology at Pennwest California. Because of my academics, during school, booking may be limited/may need to be changed around. I have a female rescue dog that loves other dogs and cats! If you want your dog to have a friend, I can bring her, or if not, that's okay too!
About: My husband and I have had cats in our home for 23 years. We currently have 3 outdoor cats. We have one female beagle who joined our family about 5 years ago. She is very friendly and playful with the cats. She loves to snuggle up with us and sniff around outside. She also has been boarded through this app before with a family with other dogs, and got along with them great! I have a 13 year old, 10 year old, and 6 year old that would love to snuggle with your dog. They are great with our beagle, Lucky. We also have a turtle, a hamster, fish, and 2 chickens. I have cared for family and friend’s cats through the years, stopping in to feed and play with them while their owners vacationed. I love to spend time outdoors when I’m not working. I do work during the week between Rostraver and Brownsville, but could drop in on your beloved pet around my work time. I currently am boarding dogs on weekends with my repeat customers. I’d be more than happy to spend time playing with your dog or kitty! We have had 9 cats of our own through the years, 3 of which were strays that made our yard their home. Looking forward to meeting you and your beloved pet! I work Monday-Friday 9:30-3:30, one or two weeknights, but no weekends. I could drop-in before or after my work time. I can board dogs overnight from Friday late afternoon-Sunday evening. Our dog Lucky has a bed she naps in during the day. She goes outside for walks in the yard throughout the day, and exercises her freedom on the zip line outside. Our home is fenced in around the front and side perimeter, but it will not contain a dog. I always leash them or put them on the zip line for awhile.

About: *Hello! My name is Jessica and I cannot wait to pet sit for you! I have roughly 15 years of experience with pet/house sitting. With me, you'll be able to enjoy vacation, spend time with family, or whatever it may be with reassurance and a sigh of relief knowing that your little furry family member is in good hands. *I started off many years ago cat sitting for 2 cats and one of them needed a lot of care including medication twice a day. Over the years, that led to dog sitting 2 dogs. Pretty soon, that family referred me to another family, they did the same, and next thing I know I had about 4 different families that I was sitting for. I recently took some time off, but I am ready to start again! *For my job, I start at midnight until usually 8:30am. At some point during the day, I do online college courses (I'm done with schooling at the end of this year), so that means I will be able to spend basically the entire day with your pet! *Not only will booking with me help you, but it also benefits me because I thoroughly enjoy being around animals. Where I live, I am not allowed pets so anytime I am able to help people and it so happens to involve an animal, I am happy! *For pricing, I'm willing to talk about it. I will work with you especially if you have any additional services that may need done like cleaning up your house, etc. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you consider me when choosing a pet sitter. I work full time but start at midnight until 8:30am. That gives me the ability to be able to be at your house all day with your pet(s)! That means they won't be lonely while you're gone! In your house, I will give your dog all the comfort that it needs because I'm sure not having their owner around will be an adjustment at first. I am able to take your pet on as many walks as needed, follow whatever food schedule that is required, and have as much cuddle time as they let me! I would care for your pet with the mindset that this is a little family member and treat it with the kindness and respect all animals deserve and I never bring anyone else over to the client's house.
“Such a pleasure working with Christina, she is SO good with our dogs. I feel really confident in her and trust her with my pets. I highly recommend her and she is a great communicator as well!”

“So far I’ve been pleased with Kristie. My pup took a liking to her immediately. Kristie is tough. Even if it’s cold or nasty weather, she will push through and make sure the dog gets his exercise. I hope she can become my regular dog walker for many more years”

Growing up with dogs, I've developed a knack for understanding their unique personalities and needs. Whether it's going for long walks, playing fetch, or just lounging on the couch, I love spending quality time with furry friends. I'm all about positive vibes and creating a fun, safe environment for dogs to thrive. Iv recently move to Pittsburgh from Erie Pa, so I don’t have many friends nor plans. Regular exercise and playtime are essential, so I make sure to engage them in activities that suit their energy levels and preferences. Feeding schedules are followed according to the owner's instructions, and fresh water is always available. I also maintain open communication with the pet owners, providing regular updates on their well-being. About: Although I do not currently have pets of my own, I have always loved animals and have been the go-to pet sitter for friends and colleagues since moving back to Pittsburgh in 2019. I have cared for dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, and personalities, from quick check-ins to longer stays. Because I work remotely, my schedule is flexible and I can provide consistent care, attention, and updates while you are away. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet and your home, so I try to be dependable, communicative, and attentive to each pet’s routine. I’m respectful of both your pet and your home, and I prioritize communication, safety, and calm, attentive care. I’ll also send updates so you know your pet is doing well while you’re away.
About: I have taken care of two large breed dogs for over a year. I brought them into my home when they were puppies, and cared for them as they grew into adult dogs. For dog walking, I am able to walk one or two dogs at one time. When walking my own dogs, sometimes I would like to go for a little run just to make sure the pups get the exercise they need. For dog sitting, I like to let the pup(s) out for plenty of bathroom breaks. I will do everything I can to ensure that your pet is well-taken care of. I will be sure to provide a good amount of playtime for your pet to make sure he or she is having a good time! I'm currently working a shift evening schedule on Thursday-Saturday, so I have plenty of time during the traditional work week to look after your pets! I have a fenced yard and would love to spend time with your dog or cat! I would love to play games with your pet, take them on walks, and will be incredibly watchful over them to make sure they don't get into trouble.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
