“Our two very busy dogs recently spent four nights in the care of Jennifer and her whole family while we were spending the Thanksgiving holiday at a nearby Airbnb that did not allow dogs. It could not have gone any better. The dogs were warmly welcomed and got lots of attention. It felt like we were dropping them off at summer camp. They even got to try herding goats for the first time! Both of Jennifer’s dogs seemed to do very well with ours. We got plenty of updates throughout the visit. We hope to be able to bring our dogs to Jennifer again next year.”

About: Hi there, I’m Maddie! I grew up with animals and now have two dogs of my own. I volunteer once a week at my local humane society and have had experience fostering. I understand the need to know that your animal is receiving the best care possible! It’s my goal and mission to treat your pet as I would my own and provide them with the best care possible! Dogs and cats are our loyal companions. They deserve the best that we can provide them with. My schedule is very flexible. I work remotely full time and have control over my schedule during the weekday and weekends. I bring my dogs to work with me when I have to work in the office. I have a fenced in yard that the dogs are able to play in. I have baby gates in the house that can keep pets within a safe boundary. I’m cautious of doors to ensure that pets don’t escape. I’m constantly reading and watching for body language that communicates to me whether your pet is happy, stressed, etc.

“I can't say enough about Rory D. Her home was clean, neat, and very organized. She had a separate "bedroom" where Gigi would spend the night and relax when other pets were in the house. During her stay Rory gave Gigi the opportunity to meet and forge a friendship with another cat. I was so pleased! Rory followed all care requests. Rory sent pictures and videos of Gigi throughout her stay. Gigi appeared very content and happy. Gigi was well cared for and healthy when I picked her up at the end of her stay. Without any reservation I recommend Rory for pet sitting. She did an excellent job. I will definitely rebook with Rory D. the next time I need pet sitting services.”

About: I have been dogsitting for two different families since I was 17. They relied on me to feed, walk, and attend to medical needs of their fur babies while sitting! I am pretty available during the week and I always find time to spend time with animals. I am also very flexible with others schedules! “This was my first experience using Rover and I am pleasantly surprised! Julia was very accommodating with our very last minute need for doggy care. She welcomed us over the day before for a meet & greet on short notice and basically let our Addie just roam around to sniff things out. She sent updates through the weekend along with cute pictures of our pup with her kids. She also took Addie for walks and played with her. I would highly recommend her anytime she’s available and I know I’ll be asking her to watch Addie in the future!”

“Melissa is a true saint! My family was on a 2.5 week road trip with our 11 month old Akita puppy, Frida, when we decided to make a stop a the Great Blue Heron festival in Sherman, NY. Being on the road and leaving our puppy with a stranger seemed intimidating, especially considering her shy nature, but Melissa was great! Frida was very reserved with Melissa at first, but eventually warmed up. Melissa sent pictures and videos that showed she was having a great time. She went above and beyond to make sure Frida had access to activities that she enjoyed and even set up play dates with other young dogs. I am so so grateful we found Melissa and we were able to leave our pup with someone who put so much love and care into her time with Frida.”

About: My whole life I was never able to have pets up until two years ago which is when I got my first girl, Jojo. She changed my life completely and so I had to get her a sister. My love for them is unmatched and even though I don’t have training what I do have is unconditional love and plenty of free time. I recently resigned from my job so I do not have a work schedule to work around so I am able to give my pets as well as yours all the attention and care that they need. I do have a fenced yard so if they need to go outside for potty or play there is no risk of them running off. I also two dogs at home as previously mentioned but I do have a dog gate inside if your pet needs some alone time. I separate my dogs during meal times and sometimes just to give individual attention. Both my dogs are girls and they are sweet and very playful.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for the majority of my life. My current furry companion is a 5 year old Golden Retriever and two cats. I have cared for family pets and take in friends animals for short and long term. I’m currently on summer break from working in the schools, so I am very flexible schedule-wise. I live in the country and have lots of space to walk pets and enjoy the outdoors. My pets are sociable and love other people and animals. We can enjoy the outdoors, snuggle up inside, and just enjoy furry family members. Looking forward to quality time and more pets to love.
