“Oreo had a wonderful 10 days with Clarence. He shared daily updates with videos and voiceover which was amazing. Highly recommended and would love to leave Oreo again some time.”

“Stephen and his family were fantastic. They gave us the peace of mind to enjoy our vacation knowing our pet was being taken care of. I will always look to see if he is available next time we are looking for a dog sitter. Cannot recommend enough.”

“Our pups love staying with Barnabas! They jump out of the car & hurry straight to his front door when we pull into his driveway. Thank you, Barnabas, for giving Honeybun and Waffles a home away from home!”

“Chuck took exceptional care of my dog, Ella. She is a senior dog with some recent health issues and he was so good with her..she requires medications and he made sure she got what she needed. She’s also not used to a lot of people other than family and hasn’t been boarded for several years so she was pretty whiny and clingy for the first few days but she settled in. I so appreciate his patience with her. I would 💯 recommend Chuck for pet sitting! Five stars!!”

“This was the second time Daphne watched Tilly and was great again! I could enjoy my trip knowing that my dog was in great hands and getting plenty of attention. Daphne sent pictures and updates so I knew Tilly was safe and happy.”

“Sarah is a top notch sitter. Her and her children showed such love and care for our little guy. He had so much fun with Sarah. I will definitely call upon Sarah again in the future. Thanks Sarah so much!”

“for my first time away from my baby, i couldn’t have asked for anyone better. updates, pictures, & just a house filled with love. i was SO hesitant leaving Cas for the first time ever. Jennifer will be my official sitter for my pup every time i go somewhere. THANK YOU for dealing with allll the feelings i had of leaving him. You were awesome!”

“She was wonderful! We had to book our Pitt to stay with her over the week and she sent us photos while we were away of updated on our boy. He was picked up and dropped off super easily and professional! She was very accommodating to the late notice as well!”

About: I started out fostering puppies for a few years, one of which I kept as my foster fail, Emma! Emma loves to play with other dogs and would love the opportunity to hang out with yours while you get away for either work or fun. I have a full time job where I work from home, so would have plenty of time to care for your dog as needed. I am available most weeks and weekends. Since I have my dog, it would be essential to arrange quick meet and greets prior to committing. I have my dog Emma, who is a Saint Bernard mix. Though I just have her at the moment, she grew up with other dogs and loves the companionship. I recently constructed a fence for my backyard for ease of potty breaks, though stairs are necessary for this. Emma has free reign of the house while I am working, but I do have an x-pen and extra dog bed I could setup if needed. Emma takes daily medicine for her joints and thyroid, so I am used to giving medicine if your pup requires medicine as well.
“Shania took great care of my dog while I was away for a few days. She was kind and easy to communicate with, and my dog seemed very happy and relaxed when I got back. I could tell she really loves animals and treated my dog like her own. I’ll definitely book with her again!”

“Courtney and Keith were amazing and flexible. They were very accommodating and allowed me to drop my dog late night due to travel. They took care of Scooby very well and shared pictures everyday.”

“Ashley took great care of my two dogs at her kennel. The only thing I would mention is that I had assumed she was watching them at her house when I booked her, but it was really where she is a groomer, so the dogs were kept in a kennel except during play & potty breaks. There were several other animals there. You could tell Ashley loves animals & they did great in her care.”

“Serinitee super sweet and great with my babies. She communicates well with any questions and concerns either of us had. Mabel and Rowdy were well taken care of without doubt and I would highly recommend. I will be using her again!”

About: I've had dogs all my life. Shelties Schnauzers, Suberian Huskies, German Shepherds, Yorkies and now beagles. I deeply love them all. I worked several years as a veterinary technician for a large and small animal clinic in the 1980s until life took me in a different direction. I currently live on our small family farm. I have a fenced back yard for your baby to play in. And there is a lot going on to entertain them. I'm retired and home all day if I'm hosting your fur baby. I would love to meet your furry kids and help them have the best time either here or in your home. I'm retired and if your fur baby is staying with me, I'll be here with them the whole stay. If I'm dropping in for a play and potty session, I'll give them all of my attention and an enjoyable session. I have a fenced yard and 2 friendly beagles to play with your pup. I can crate if you like, or if they're house trained, they can have the run of the house with my beagles.
“Amiee was just the dog sitter I needed for Luna! She was super flexible, attentive and sweet. I got over 10 pictures in one short weekend of her watching my pup. I couldn’t be more happy with her care for my fur baby. I would have Aimee watch my pup again in a heartbeat! I was nervous at first as this was my first time leaving Luna alone, but Aimee helped subside my worries. Five stars all the way!”

“Nina was amazing. Tucker had a lot of fun with her. I’m sure he enjoyed a lot playing with her big and sweet dogs. She sent me pictures and was very responsive. And besides that he got home worn out, meaning that he burned a lot of his energy.”

“Another great experience with Kristen. Toby always comes home so relaxed and happy. I get more than enough updates of photos and videos. Kristen is a blessing and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to care for your favorite family member.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Fairview home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Fairview.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Fairview sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
