“Emma was so amazing with my girls! I was very hesitant to bring on a new sitter in the middle of a medical shit-show for my oldest dog. Emma showed up at 5:45 AM (That already earns her a 'you're amazing!' in my book) and stayed with my two younger girls so that I could take my oldest one for specialized care at a vet teaching hospital. She didn't mind that I didn't know when I'd get back. She didn't mind that I'm a complete hot mess express. The girls absolutely loved her, and I loved that the first thing she did at our meet and greet was play with them. When my middle girl didn't want to eat while I was gone, she even tried hand-feeding her. Emma is the MVP, and I know I will be using her many times in the future.”

About: While I enjoy all animals, cats are my favorite. I have loved and cared for countless cats requiring various levels of care from kittens to seniors. I have experience administering shots and medications, personalized feeding, cleaning, and even birthing. I have studied and researched cat behaviors since I could read. I love each fur baby like they are my own. I'm the friend that always has cat food in their car or leaves the party to sit with the cat that's hiding in the closet. I work full-time, but I have all evenings and weekends free to spend time with your pets. If nearby, I can make quick trips during the day. I can dedicate as much time as needed during weekends. I am also able to keep cats at my home if preferred for more interaction time and socialization with my two friendly kitties. Dog (or cat) walks are limited to evenings or weekends. Must have a leash/harness. I let the animals take charge for the most part. I find that they will tell you what they need, and it is up to you to interpret them. Structure can be important, but following their lead and understanding their instincts can save you time and energy. I also try to be firm when it comes to meals and treats. (sometimes a challenge!) Health and longevity are most important to me.

About: I have always loved having pets, especially since I grew up with two of them in my household. One of them was a Cane Corso and the other was a Chihuahua Terrier mix. Additionally, my grandmother has three tiny dogs that I have had the pleasure of growing up with. My love for animals, especially dogs, has inspired me to pursue a career as a zoologist. I actively work at several veterinary hospitals in the area. I make my own schedule so I can be flexible. My professional career is directly related to pet care so it’s a huge part of my life. I take pet care very seriously. I love animals and treat them with compassion and respect. If they have an accident or make a mess I clean it and make sure they always have clean, dry, and comfortable bedding. Food and water bowls are filled and cleaned regularly. I will be as involved or uninvolved as they need to be. I let them show me what degree of interaction they’re comfortable with and I meet there where they’re at. If they are a lone wolf but still like to hang out from a distance that’s fine. Over the course of my career, I’ve been trained for almost every scenario regarding cats and dogs in almost any imaginable situation.
