In the pet sitting experiences I’ve had I treat every animal that comes into my care as my own. I try to match the preference of the pet whether that be tons of head rubs and snuggles or distance with only treats, food and water (some cats are introverted and prefer to not be touched and that is completely okay :) In terms of dog walking, I follow the dogs lead on how long they’d like to stroll, one dog in my car previously was 15 years old and wanted to do his business and then be carried back to the house because that tired him out while my Shepard will go for an hour and be overjoyed with any longer.
