About: My love for animals started when I was just 4 or 5 years old! I was given the very important job of letting our neighbor's dog out while they were on vacation (with a little help from my mom, of course! 😉). We had two cats of our own growing up, but I think that little responsibility is what really sparked my love for caring for all animals. Throughout high school, I volunteered whenever I could at a local animal shelter and dreamed of one day opening my own dog training and boarding facility. Life took me in a different direction, and I spent over 10 years pursuing a degree and career outside of animal care. But my love for animals never faded, and I've finally decided to follow that childhood dream! For the past four years, I've been volunteering and fostering dogs through Ruff Start Rescue. Fostering has been such a rewarding experience! I've had the opportunity to welcome dogs into my home, get to know their individual personalities, and provide them with a safe, loving environment while they wait for their forever families. It's taught me so much about patience, understanding, and how every dog has their own unique needs. More recently, I've also started working part-time as a dog handler at Best Furriends Boarding, where I've spent the past two months doing something I absolutely love! Getting to care for dogs, learn their personalities, and help make their time away from home a positive experience has only reassured me that working with animals is where my heart belongs. At home, I'm a proud pet parent to three wonderful rescue fur babies—two dogs and a cat! They're my family, and I know firsthand how important it is to feel confident that your pets are safe, happy, and loved when you're away. Whether your pet is outgoing and playful or needs a little extra patience and reassurance, my goal is to make them feel comfortable, cared for, and loved just like they would at home. I'm also happy to share suggestions or guidance if you're ever interested. And if all you need is someone to let your pups outside, give them some attention, and spoil them rotten, I'd absolutely love that too! For Boarding & Doggy Daycare: We have two wonderful resident dogs with very different personalities! Our senior pup enjoys a calmer environment and appreciates her personal space, while our 3-year-old Shepherd mix is a big, playful sweetheart who loves making furry friends! To keep everyone comfortable and happy, we're currently best suited for laid-back, gentle dogs who respect other dogs' boundaries. We also have the ability to separate the dogs when needed, giving everyone a chance to relax and enjoy some quiet time. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my priority. I want your fur babies to feel like part of the family while they're in my care!

I have over 25 years of experience caring for families' dogs and sometimes cats. I work remotely full-time from my home and am also able to work full-time from your home with Wifi. I am available to care for your pup(s) any day of the week. I have a large yard and will personally walk your dog in the yard as often as needed with a leash.
