About: Use code KELLYS2809 for $20 off your first booking with me! I have a B.S. in Natural Resource Ecology & Management with a concentration of Wildlife Ecology from LSU. I previously worked at a few state parks nearby. I love to be active and go for lots of walks. I’m just as happy to stay home and relax with your pet if that’s what they prefer. I did Rover throughout college and loved it so much! I love all animals and enjoy being around them. I previously worked in a vet clinic so I have experience administering medication and giving special care. I am currently a furloughed gov employee, so I am home all day and can provide as many potty breaks as needed. Whatever they need! I have experience with many different animals, and I can adjust to your pets schedule to keep them in their routine as much as possible!
About: My family and I have always had multiple dogs raised from puppies to full grown dogs that I helped to care for. This includes walking, bathing, feeding, playing fetch, trimming nails and taking them to the vet. I have also taken care of our farm animals daily needs. I work part time and my day to day schedule is very flexible. I am open to same day sitting jobs if needed. I am available to take dog to the vet as well. I have one friendly dog that loves furry company. I can accommodate needs of sitting location, depending on client’s preference. I have toys, crates, treats and dog beds to ensure comfort and needs are met.
About: I have experience with cats, reptiles, and dogs. I have experience with reactive and aggressive dogs and their care, as well as skittish dogs, and normal pups. As I am a small person, I cannot walk untrained giant breed dogs unfortunately, but I can more than happily dog sit and do drop in care! I love animals of all types and find great joy in caring for animals. I've worked with senior dogs, new born puppies, older puppies, rescue dogs, neglected dogs, and longtime family pups. I have experience with all sorts of cats, from skittish to cuddle bugs. I have some experience with training and find joy in helping dogs reach their best potential and learn new tricks. I've been caring for animals since I was at least 13 years old and intend to long into my future.
About: I have been the go-to professional and friend for pet care and house-sitting for many. My goal is always to give your pet and home the same care and consideration I would my own. I have had pets since I can remember. My first pet was a jet black cat resembling the color of a raven. I learned and practiced numerous pet care tactics which allowed my cat to live a very fruitful life to 20 years old. I also had a delightful Bischon with a spunky personality that was always the life of the party. I am no stranger to large size or senior age pets, but am also well acquainted with service dogs. I have experience with pigs, fishes, snails, but my most favorite of all horses! I truly enjoy engaging with furry loved ones and giving them the tender care they obviously deserves! I currently have a very flexible schedule that allows me to give your fur baby lots of attentive care, playtime, and mental stimulation by providing activity throughout the day. I have a fenced-in yard with ample space and love to go for strolls around the neighborhood and local parks. I love to play games and engage throughout the day.
About: I’m an animal lover through and through! Hopefully one day soon, a professional pup groomer☺️ and I would love to spend time with your fur babies!! I would prefer to watch your pup(s) at my house since I do have fur babies of my own, or be able to bring my dog along with me to your house. Only if it’s safe to do so of course! Just for reference, my baby is a male, mini-dachshund. He’s 11 years old and is a timid, loving sweet boy. But if that’s not an option, that’s okay too! I also have two cats who are both loving and do well with dogs! If we’re boarding at my house, I can pickup and drop off for you as well. I work a Monday-Friday job, and am typically off by 4:30! Anytime outside of those hours will be allotted for the care of any fur babies you entrust me with(: I live in a quiet spot not far from LSU! I have a pretty big yard and safe walking areas for long walks. All I’ll need is a collar and leash (:
“Tenay is a skilled and enthusiastic dog walker who keeps in touch when caring for pets. She stayed with my pup for three days while I was out of town, and did a great job, even managing to get my "loves to nap" dog out for some long walks (which he needs). She sent photos and videos and I felt confident that he was Ok at all times.”

About: I have 2 dogs. A Labmix and Siberian Husky. I have taken care of my dogs since they were puppies. We love to play and go for long walks, sit around, relax and do tricks for fun. The care I provide will depend on the dog’s needs. I am willing to work with any dogs. I’m calm around dogs. I knows what dogs think before they do. I know what they would want. Knowing when they don’t want to be bothered is a key factor in caring for dogs. You want to build trust so you’ll be able to form that unbreakable bond. I’m firm when my dogs want something that they know they should not have. I can be reliable when needed the most. I can travel to you when needed. Also I just genuinely love animals. About: I am an animal obsessed graduate looking to fill my free time taking care of pets while I am on the hunt for a job. I’ve had my fair share of caring for dogs of all sizes and cats too! My pets are my family, and I will treat yours with the same respect. I know you want your pets left in the best care while you are away, so I am able to come do a meet and greet if preferred! Fun fact: I just went through a training program on how to better understand dog body language when they interact with other dogs and how to handle emergency situations when they arise! I am currently working part time and taking a couple courses for my Master's degree, so I have plenty of time (and energy) to care for your lovely pet. When I house sit, I will have to leave for a few hours a day for either class or work, but will spend ample time with your four-legged friend! In your home, full respect will be given to both your pets and your home. Walks and drop ins will not be spent browsing my phone, your four-legged friend has my full attention! Drop in visits can be tailored to the needs of your pet, and walks can be as active as your pup likes (I like to get those steps in). If your pup has decent leash manners and would like to take a run, I can provide that as well.
About: I have owned a pet since I was 11 years old. I also have enjoyed rescuing street animals. My first dog was a border collie. I loved training my border collie and going for walks with him! Weekends are always best. I can arrange same day service. I also can bring my own leash and water for the pet when out walking. I prefer to walk pets and care for pets in their home environment or in the community. I rather have the owners suggest the activity thr pet would enjoy.

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs and other animals. While I was stationed at Fort Polk, many of my fellow Soldiers would go on leave, travel home for the holidays, or be away for training. Since I stayed in Louisiana and did not travel because I purchased my home here, I was often happy to help by caring for their pets. I would feed them, take them on walks, play with them, exercise them, make sure they had fresh water, and give them plenty of attention until their owners returned. I have experience with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and energy levels, and I understand that every pet has its own personality and routine. I am CPR certified, physically fit, dependable, and treat every animal like family. I have a spacious home where pets have room to relax and feel comfortable, and I will always make sure they receive the care, exercise, and affection they deserve. My goal is to provide a safe, loving environment so you can have peace of mind while you are away. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable pet care throughout the week. As a 1099 contractor, my hours vary, which gives me the ability to work around your pet’s needs. Whether your pet needs a morning walk, midday check-in, evening care, or overnight attention, I will do my best to accommodate your schedule. I understand how important consistency is, and I am committed to making sure your pet feels comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you are away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a clean, calm, and loving environment where every pet is treated like family. I am CPR certified and have experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages and personalities. My wife and I have rescued stray cats and cared for numerous animals over the years, so we understand the patience and attention every pet deserves. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any special requests you have. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and receiving excellent care.

I want to expand this business into something much bigger & for people to feel at ease with leaving your babies in the care of someone who will love them unconditionally. All you have to bring for your baby is their dog food/cat food. I have dog/cat bowls, leashes, toys, puppy pads, litter boxes, litter, cat toys, cat/dog beds, ( I supply dog treats ) I do not put the babies in kennels unless instructed to do so by you if you bring your own. At bed time I put on relaxing music for the dogs to calm down & sleep, heating pads for cold nights, lots of blankets & beds. Any of their comfort items I would suggest bring with them. I do live in a new trailer, lots of room for your babies to roam & play! non smoker. I have experience with large dogs to small dogs, senior dogs & ones with bad anxiety or kennel aggressive ect. I also have experience with birds, especially parrots. I know how to handle in any situation when it comes to different behaviors from animals. I only have one kennel designated just for that.. You will receive lots of pictures/videos & updates to the point where it may be a little annoying but you’ll never have to text me first checking on them. I give them lots of love! Prozac, prednisone, insulin, antibiotics ect, I’m familiar with all. I eat breathe & sleep doggies. I stay home full time & when I say full time it’s me & the pups home everyday. I LOVE & taking care of your 4 legged sweetie pies, when you book with me it will allow me to continue to care for the fur babies & accomplish my life long dream to open up a bigger place to care for more. 💕 I truly appreciate repeat customers, but with inflation the way that it is, the cost of gas being so high, I had to make the difficult decision to raise my prices up to $2 more since last year. I understand if you choose to look elsewhere for services, but I hope that you choose to continue to use me. & for new clients ❤️ I have a small male dachshund that gets along with animals & kids very well! I am 100% committed to your pets to make them & you comfortable with my services. I treat my clients babies just like I would my baby!
About: I’ve been around animals my entire life, and I’ve also fostered through Companion Animal Alliance, which has given me hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, backgrounds, and temperaments. From shy rescues to energetic pups, I know how to make every dog feel safe, loved, and understood. I’m also a dedicated graduate student studying Speech Pathology, which means I’m naturally patient, detail-oriented, and excellent at communication. My schedule allows me to be reliable and consistent, and I treat every pet in my care like they’re my own. Ultimately, I strive to create a safe, loving, and individualized experience for every pet. Your furry family member will always get my full attention, compassion, and care. Pet care fits easily into my routine because I make time for it every day. As a grad student, my schedule is flexible enough for walks, drop-ins, and consistent check-ins and boardings. I plan my day around a pet’s normal routine so they always feel comfortable and cared for. My experience fostering has taught me how to balance school and pet needs without ever feeling rushed. Your pet will always get steady attention, patience, and plenty of love. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine so I can keep things consistent and comfortable for them. In a client’s home, I follow all instructions closely—feeding, walks, meds, and favorite activities—so their pet feels secure in their own space. I keep everything clean, calm, and stress-free, just like you’d expect if you were home. If I’m caring for a pet in my own space, I make sure they have a safe, cozy area, plenty of attention, and a good balance of play and rest. No matter where I’m caring for them, their safety, comfort, and happiness always come first.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
