About: I’ve cared for dogs and pets for 20 years. I’m dependable, patient, and love giving pets plenty of attention, playtime, and care while their owners are away. currently have an open and flexible schedule, so I’m available throughout the week for pet care. I can easily accommodate different routines, including walks, drop-ins, and feeding. I care for pets with patience, attention, and plenty of love. I follow their normal routines, including feeding, walks, playtime, litter care, and keeping them comfortable and safe. I’m happy to care for pets in their home depending on the service needed. My french bulldog is 6 years old and was diagnosed with IVDD and is paralyzed so I understand and have the love, patience and care pets need.

“Kim was amazing. We lost track of time as first time parents and were lucky enough to book her just a few days before the holidays, for a lengthy stretch. She went above and beyond caring for our 2 cats. Always daily pictures with a note. She noticed when our anxious cat started stress licking and was able to use our diffuser to help provide some calming smells for them. She even set our trash out on the last day which was not expected. Could not recommend her more!”

About: I’ve had dogs ever since I was 7 years old and so have all my family members around me. I currently have 6 and you can often see my social media filled with pictures and videos of them. I help rescue on my own and I also have several rescue pigs. I have experience with aggressive and anxious dogs as well, I own several. I work evenings and weekends so I’m pretty available during the daytime for walks and playtime. I make my own schedule as well and it’s set several months out. I love playing with pups of all kinds, I own friendly and reactive dogs so I have experience with many temperaments and personalities. My dogs are my entire world, I moved cities and left my family over an hour away so that I could buy a house and land for my dogs.

About: I have had and taken care of dogs of all age ranges over the years. I used to foster and take in rescues, so I’m used to all types of doggie personalities, sizes and ages. My dogs are like my children, and I will treat yours with the same love and care as my own. I am experienced with smaller and bigger dogs, and am adaptable to whatever their routine and needs may be! I want you to feel comfortable, knowing your babies are being taken care of while you’re at work or away. I usually work Thursday through Saturday, but sometimes that changes. Even if I have something planned on a day off, it’s something I can usually work around a walk or drop in easily. I live in a home where my fur babies have a fenced in area, as well as a free roam area. Im okay walking your pup or letting them out into a fenced area, whichever you prefer. My pups are crate trained so I am happy to make sure yours is safe and secured in theirs before I leave if that’s something that you use for their safety. Each pet is different, so I will look to your instructions for specifics on how to handle your fur baby and make the visit most enjoyable for them.

About: *I have been taking care of pets not only on a personal level for over 20 years but on a professional level as well for 10 years. I have prior experience as a veterinary technician assistant and can handle pets no matter what the situation may be. I have prior experience with senior pets or even pets with special needs. I of course have experience with pets that are full of energy and love to play. And we can't forget about the puppies who need help with socializing and potty training. I can also give baths, ear cleaning and nail trims as well just let me know. *All animals are unique in their own special way, they have things they like and things they do not like, while in my care I can promise that their care will be fitted to your fur babies needs while you are away. *I am always available to give your fur baby all the love and attention they need while you are away. I am available for drop ins, daycare, boarding just let me know the dates and times that you are needing and we can get it arranged. *I live in a house on a secluded 1.32 acres of land along with a large fenced yard. I have 2 small children as well but trust me I have experience with spicy animals as well as making sure safety is a priority. I have 5 friendly dogs that would love to have play dates or I can easily crate or separate my own personal pets or your pets (with your permission) if needed. If crating is not an option my house is set up to where I can keep my personal pets and your pets separated from each other without the need of crates. I also have plenty of toys and even a doggy pool to help keep your fur babies happy while you are away. I offer the option of pickup/drop offs being done but only by meeting outside, I do not want the fur babies to feel like I am taking them away from their owner. Thank you for your understanding and support in this matter! I am currently a stay at home mom. I have two beautiful children along with 5 very spoiled dogs that I consider my own children as well. I have a fenced yard and crates if you are okay with crating. I also have baby gates as well. If dogs need to have separation time that is understandable or if they need to be separated 100% of the time I can have that set up with no issues. Everyone's safety is 100% important no matter what.

“As a business owner in the boarding and dog industry myself, trusting someone to stay in my home and care for my dogs was a huge deal for me — especially since our dogs have quite a few senior and special-care needs. Jonathan absolutely exceeded every expectation. We are definitely “those” pet owners with a million instructions wanting everything done just right, and he handled all of it with patience, kindness, and professionalism. His communication was incredible. Any time I reached out, he responded within minutes, which gave me so much peace of mind while we were away. It’s very rare to find people you genuinely trust with your home and your animals, but he made the entire experience stress-free. The dogs were well cared for, happy, and all of their special needs were accommodated without issue. Honestly, this experience changed things for us. For the first time, we actually feel like we can travel and enjoy vacations without worrying the entire time. We’re already planning our next trip knowing we have a person we can truly rely on. Highly, highly recommend Johnathan Absolute gems.”

About: My interest in becoming a pet sitter started when I was still a child and the neighbors’ dogs who I’d befriended tracked me to my house to come to the kitchen door and ask if I could come out to play. Since then, I've been caring for dogs as early as litters of puppies to their adult and senior years. I’m dog and cat CPR certified which luckily I’ve never had to use but it’s better to be safe than sorry. I’ve cared for many breeds.. mixed, purebreds, super well-trained to shy and needing some encouragement. I love taking caring of animals and being apart of their routine. I’m happy to go into more detail with you as requested or booked services offer us a chance to chat! Taking care of pets is part of my daily life. I own a Siberian husky and I'm usually offering pet care services 7 days a week. I have a good sized 2 bedroom apartment that can accommodate me, up to 2 medium or large size dogs, big comfortable furniture, and plenty of room for playtime, naps, or just ease of maneuvering around. When a dog is daytime visiting or staying overnight I focus my attention here at home and keeping your pet comfortable, cared for, and as little worry to you as possible. When visiting your home I like to provide lots of playtime/walks, cuddles, and I’m a reader so a quiet companionship is always part of a stay as well. Taking care of pets is apart of my daily life. About: Pets are a huge part of my life. I currently have a dog named Ava and a cat named pistol. I have had multiple pets throughout my life. I enjoy getting to spend time with other anaimals as well. I am big on “doggy manners” and am good at teaching them to your furry friend. During my visits, I will walk, play and spend time with your dog/cat. I have walked many dogs, and enjoy connecting with them all. I’m available in the mornings and afternoons, and sometimes in the middle of day depending on the day of the week. I look forward to getting to know your furry companion 🤍🤎 Im currently a stay at home mom. My child attends school from 8-3. I am a student; but like to take a few breaks a day to go out. I have a fenced in yard. We spray our yard for ticks and other mites to prevent them, and regularly take our animals to the vet.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost of Pet Sitting in Emathla is $26 per visit as of November 2026. Most bookings cost between $26 and $28 per visit. On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. As long as your booking dates and pet profiles are accurate, the price shown before you confirm is the total, including any booking fee.

As of November 2026, there are 1,195 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Emathla. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Emathla. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
