About: Hi! My name is Elly, and I’m currently a college student at Kirkwood. I have hands on experience working at an animal hospital as a kennel attendant, where I cared for both cats and dogs. My responsibilities included feeding, administering medications, providing playtime, and taking pets out for potty breaks. I also grew up on a farm, so I’m comfortable working with larger animals and understand the responsibility and care they require. I’ve always been a huge animal lover. I’ve owned a variety of pets including a hedgehog, ferrets, and currently a Mini Australian Shepherd. My boyfriend also has three dogs, so I’m very used to being around and managing multiple dogs at once. I love staying active through hikes and long walks, and I’m very comfortable handling energetic pets. If you’re looking for someone reliable, trustworthy, and genuinely passionate about caring for your pets like they’re my own, I’d love the opportunity to help! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide consistent and reliable pet care. I attend a mix of online and in person classes 2 days a week, which gives me plenty of availability throughout the rest of the week. I also work part time as a waitress in Iowa City 2–3 days a week, typically during evening hours. Because of this, I’m especially available during mornings, afternoons, and overnight for pet care. I’m originally from central Illinois, so I do occasionally travel there in my free time, but I always plan ahead and keep my availability updated to ensure I can fully commit to the pets I’m caring for. Overall, I’m able to offer flexible scheduling and will always communicate clearly to make sure your pet’s needs are fully covered. When caring for pets, my main goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. In a client’s home, I follow your pet’s regular feeding schedule, provide fresh water, and maintain a clean environment this includes litter box care for cats and regular potty breaks for dogs. I make sure each pet gets the attention they need based on their personality. For cats, that may be playtime, enrichment, or calm companionship. For dogs, I provide walks, exercise, and interaction to keep them happy and active. I’m comfortable administering medications for both cats and dogs and use a calm, patient approach especially with shy, nervous, or high energy pets. I also monitor their behavior, appetite, and overall well-being, and I keep owners updated so you always know how your pet is doing. In my own home, I provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. With my background in animal care including rescued cats and experience around multiple dogs I’m confident handling a variety of temperaments and needs. My goal is always to make your pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for like they’re my own while you’re away.

About: Hi, my name is Taylor, I am 29 years old and I have been a dog owner for probably over 15 years and I am one of the biggest animal lovers there is! I spent 3 years working at a well know AAHA accredited veterinary clinic. I would love to help others have a chance for good animal care. A little bit about my own pets. I adopted Charlie, my border collie mix, and Willie, my domestic shorthair red mackerel tabby about 4 years ago and recently added Lupa, my border collie to the mix. My preferences: I do prefer dogs, but I know how to care for cats as well! Personally I would probably rather spend all my spare time with any and all animals! Pet sitting is my full-time gig along with a few other odds and ends, so for the most part I am available to stay with your pet all day. My schedule is flexible and my partner is home with my pets while I hang out with yours(: I am always caution about walking others dogs, I follow any and all guidance provided as well as my own judgment based on directions. I have previously worked in a veterinary clinic, so I can read situations that many have never encountered before.

About: Hellooo. I have been taking care of pets my entire teenage years and well into adulthood- 25 years and counting. I adore cats and dogs- I have raised mostly cats. I can tend to special care and diet, medicine if needed, and exercise. I do this full time! Making homemade dog treats and going on long walks, to the dog park is my favorite thing to do. My schedule is very flexible so I am available anytime and there to meet your pets needs to accommodate. I am available to provide daytime service in my home and provide attention daily, would go on walks for exercise. I provide meals on a schedule but flexible to accommodate if needed. I am able to provide consistent attention if needed as well. I treat pets like my children. I communicate as well for pets understand feelings- talking to and rewarding is huge for trust and respect, patient as well.

About: I am a veterinary student with 8 years of animal experience! I am trained to look for signs of discomfort or pain in pets! I am also trained to administer medications both orally and through injections if your pet requires any of those types of treatment! I am currently working part time and have very flexible hours! I am willing to work around schedules and will openly communicate about the needs of your pet! I currently do not have a dog at my house as my sweet older baby has recently passed, however I have a fenced in backyard and a quiet neighborhood that is good for walks and exercise outside!

When in your home, I would love to take your fur babies for walks, for dog parks, anything you already do with them to make them the most comfortable! I make sure each pet receives reliable care at the same times each day, along with attention and companionship. I care for pets in my clients’ homes by following their established routines to keep pets comfortable and stress-free. This includes feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter boxes or cages, and providing playtime, exercise, and companionship. I also keep the home tidy, monitor the pet’s health and behavior, and send regular updates so owners feel confident their pets are safe and well cared for.

About: I have experience administering all kinds of medication to all ages of dogs. I love meeting your older dogs and have experience helping them navigate stairs and the home if necessary. I am patient and if your dog needs extra accommodation I am happy to provide assistance. I am currently a college student on break for the summer so my schedule is incredibly flexible. I am available for early mornings, late nights, and everything in between. I understand it can be nerve racking trusting someone with your pet, but I am extremely communicative and will keep you updated as frequently as you wish. I have pet sat for multiple families who have always returned to tidy homes and happy pets. As someone who has had the privilege of loving many animals, big and small (snakes, lizards, geckos, cat, hamsters), I understand the importance of your pet.

About: I’ve been around pets all my life, i’m a hard worker but taking care of animals has always been my passion. I have experience with all types of pets, dogs and cats especially. I have a puppy who I trained by myself. I am physically capable of going on long walks and play time with animals. I’m currently a college student, all of my school is online. My schedule is very flexible, i’m open to working around your schedule to fit your needs. I’m available Monday-Saturday all day and Sundays after 2pm. I’m fine with cleaning up pet messes and completely able to go on walks or to the dog park. I’ve had experience giving medication to my pets when they needed it. I’m usually the one friends and family go to when they have questions about their animals including training questions. In the past I have taken in ferrel cats and dogs and found them all good homes.

About: I have had dogs in my household all my life. They’ve become my family and I care for them as such. I am a dependable student who spends all of her spare time loving her cats and dogs, animals are one of my passions. Currently, I have two dogs in my household who I take care of and love everyday. Personally I don’t go out of town a lot regularly so I’m available most days but I will update my schedule regularly if I will be out of town. I’m open to staying at your house to watch them, or just dropping by to let them outside, or even just to make sure they feel safe while you’re gone. I plan on caring for your dogs, just like I care for mine. I have two cats of my own that I take care of completely, but I also help out my family with their three dogs we currently have in the house. Whether it comes to grooming or dog walking, taking them outside, I’m always prepared to do what makes the animals happy. I always treat anyone’s pet like my own. Any safety precautions the parents want to take including letting a friend come by to visit while they are gone, or photos updating them of their pets, I will always be comfortable with. If it were my pet I’d hope for the same.

About: I’ve had pets my entire life. I have two dogs and one cat and one 12 year old kid! I love pets and have a pretty chill house. The dogs love my yard and my cat Marge has a fun place to play with lots of cat trees and cardboard scratch houses! My dogs love to go to Starbucks for a pup cup! I work full time from home except on Thursday's where I’m in office! I’m home most of the time to be there for your pets needs! I have two friendly dogs and one friendly cat. I have a big fenced in yard! My dogs and cats are update on all their shots! I don’t crate my boys but I can for sure do that for you if that makes your pup feel at home! My family both furry and not love to have a good time here and my house is very safe and dog friendly!
