“Kristin is amazing. She kept me informed of our 3 fur babies throughout the week I was gone. I received daily pictures of what they were doing. I will definitely use her again!!!!”
“Bryxon and I Absolutely love Jasmine!!! You can tell her love and passion for animals. Located in a nice neighborhood and very convenient. My Buddy even got a bath before he left her home. So grateful for the Rover recommendation from a local groomer and God sent Jasmine❤️ I am able to be away from him with a peace of mind.”

“Jala was the absolute best sitter ever. This was my first time using Rover and she was amazing. She kept me updated about Coco and his activity. She communicated very easily. I will definitely use her again.”

“Cindi was great with my little ladies. She kept me updated with their daily activities and sent photos. I felt very at ease knowing they were being taking care of and enjoying themselves. Cindy also allowed for my girls to learn to play and coexist together . Something that I had not been successful at. I’m very grateful for her knowledge and love for animals. I will definitely book again.”

“Ladonna and her husband did a fantastic job. She had multiple dogs already when we dropped off Jaela. That was the day a bad storm and tornado came through their neighborhood. I can only imagine what they went through with all the pets they were watching. She also kept us informed and sent pictures of Jaela and her new friends. Definitely will be booking with them again. Finally, Jaela came home smelling good and had freshly washed blanket.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats my entire life, including raising them from babies. All sizes of dogs from little Yorkies to large Great Pyrenees. My house is full of children who love animals! I’ve always had pets in my life and caring for them fits easily into my daily routine. As a full-time working mom, I’m up early every day and naturally build pet care into my schedule with morning walks, feeding times, and plenty of affection and play. I truly enjoy keeping animals on a consistent, loving routine and making them feel comfortable, safe, and cared for, just like family. I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment for every pet in my care. My home is clean and pet-friendly, with a fenced yard for play and fresh air. I’m attentive to each pet’s unique needs and follow owner instructions carefully. I can crate dogs if needed, maintain feeding and walk routines, and make sure they always feel secure, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.

About: Hi, my name is Jada. I grew up with a childhood dog of 14 years before he passed the summer of 2025. I also own a dog named Kade and he is my whole world and is always looking for a new playmate. I would love to help make your life easier by taking care of your fur baby :) I’m a substitute teacher but I’m half the week so I can do school work for my college courses. My schedule is very flexible as I can pick up shifts as I please. I have one friendly pup who loves to play! My apartment has a lot of open space so your pup can move around. My apartment also has two fenced in dog parks so your dog can enjoy themself and get a little exercise.
About: I have cared for senior dogs multiple times, including administering medication according to their individual needs, sometimes once or twice a day. I’m experienced with dogs of various personalities, breeds, and energy levels, and I’m comfortable adapting my care to suit each animal\. I’m also comfortable caring for different types of dogs, cats, and other animals in general. I’m patient, responsible, and attentive to each pet’s routine, comfort, and well-being. I absolutely love animals and would treat your pet the same as I would treat my own! Pet care fits into my weekly routine because I have a consistent college class schedule and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I have classes at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. On Tuesdays, I have classes from 12:00 to 4:45 p.m. On Thursdays, I have classes from 2:00 to 4:45 p.m., and on Fridays, I have class from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Outside of class, I can make time for walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship. I’m dependable and willing to plan around my classes to meet each pet’s needs and maintain their normal routine. I provide attentive, reliable care based on each pet’s individual routine and needs. A typical day includes feeding meals on schedule, refreshing water, giving medications if needed, taking pets outside for potty breaks and walks, and giving them plenty of attention. I also keep their environment clean and comfortable and make sure they receive lots of companionship throughout the day.
About: Most of my experience comes from caring for my senior beagle, who I’ve raised since he was a puppy. He still has plenty of energy, so I’m very used to daily walks, playtime, and keeping a steady routine. I study from home most days, so I’m around a lot and can give dogs regular breaks, attention, and a calm place to hang out. I’m a medical student who studies from home most days, so pet care fits naturally into my routine. I already take my own dog out for daily walks and breaks, so adding another dog to that schedule works well. I can easily fit in regular walks, feeding times, playtime, and checkins throughout the day. I live in a pet-friendly with plenty of open areas to walk. Inside, I keep a clean, supervised, and cozy home. I treat every dog gently and carefully, just like I treat my own.
“Kayleigh and her family took excellent care of my girl, Ellie. She communicated frequently, sent photos, and showed my Ellie so much love. Her sweet daughters were so loving and playful with Ellie. Highly recommend!!”

About: I’ve been a dog owner looking for the right person to trust to take care of my fur baby. From an owners point of view I know exactly how to provide excellent care while you’re away. Book me today! I’m available part time, available mostly at night. So I’m best for late night/ early morning check ins and boarding. I’m off all weekend so if you are taking a weekend away I’m your girl! I have a fenced yard and dog-proof home with one dog in my home. She’s very friendly and energetic, but she loves cuddle time and a good nap.
“Lindsey took good care of Nicky, and he came home happy and in one piece. 😊 She arrived a little late for pickup, but otherwise everything went well. Her dog seemed friendly and got along well with other pets. I would have appreciated a few more updates during the stay, but she always responded when I reached out. To be fair, it was a holiday weekend, so I understand she may have been busier than usual. Overall, I had a positive experience, and I'm grateful she took care of Nicky. Would definitely rebook with her.”

“He was absolutely awesome. Made my dog extremely comfortable and would even take him for rides even though I said he didn't have to. All around a great sitter and would ask him again in the future.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Elko home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Elko.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Elko sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
