House Sitting in Elkhorn

“I had a mandatory business trip and my pet sitter fell through fairly last minute. My 6 year old cat, Ollie, has separation anxiety (I rescued him from abuse when he was 6 months old) and he is not used to being alone for long periods of time because I work out of the house and am home most of the time. While he's friendly, he's not super snuggly or interactive with strangers; he just needs someone to be 'present'.  We had a meet-and-greet prior to booking the stay- She asked all of the pertinent questions about his personality and daily routine (Charlie, my 21 year old cockatiel, is easy- LOL). I was rest-assured things would work out so I booked the stay.  Deanne was wonderful with both Ollie and Charlie. She sent me updates throughout the day and plenty of photos letting me know they both were doing well (although I could tell in a couple of the photos Ollie was a little sad... But that is completely normal- As long as he was eating and following his regular routine I knew he'd 'survive'). This also helped me not stress out or worry about my pets and be able to focus on my trip / business dealings and that's honestly also a big part of traveling for me.  I arrived home, and while I know both Ollie and Charlie missed me, everything went right back to normal and that's what told me Deanne cared for them very well. She also was very respectful of my home and kept it clean during her stay. I'm very glad I found her and will be using her services again. I highly recommend Deanne to care for your pets!”

About: I frequently pet sit for my both my sisters and parents animals. One was a siberian husky, another is a dachsund/terrier mix and the others were a mixed hound breed and a poodle/bichon frise. I also petsit and did overnight visits with a previous professors golden retriever and golden/Irish setter mix. I own a small mixed breed dog (similar to a Jack russell)Russell, and grew up with a Brittany Spaniel and a West Highland White Terrier. I also have frequent contact with my boyfriends parents dogs: a dachshund, and a cattle dog. I work part-time currently, and am scheduled Wed, Thurs, and Fri, and the occasional Saturday. I am available Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday all day, and mornings on Wed, and Thurs. I currently live in a condo so my small dog is ideal for the space. Since my dog is reactive to other dogs, I would be doing only clients homes overnights, visits, and walks.

About: Dogs have always been my happy place. I’m the kind of person who notices the little things — tail wags, ear shifts, when they need space, or when they’re ready to play. I’ve worked with puppies, seniors, shy dogs, and big personalities, and I genuinely love getting to know each dog for who they are. I always follow the pet parent’s instructions closely to keep routines consistent, whether that includes feeding schedules, medication, crate time, or exercise needs. In a client’s home, I respect their space and maintain a clean, low-stress environment for their pet. I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are always secure before going outside, and I closely supervise walks and playtime. I also monitor behavior and body language to make sure your dog feels comfortable and safe. If caring for a pet in my home, I provide a structured, calm environment with plenty of supervision, enrichment, and attention. I separate pets if needed for safety, keep hazardous items out of reach, and ensure they always have fresh water and a comfortable resting space. With my background in animal behavior and hands-on experience, I’m attentive to subtle changes in mood, stress levels, and health. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you feel confident and connected while you’re away.

As aa kid when I had a dog I fed my dog trained my dog took my dog out my mom only had to do my dogs potty run when I was at school and what I was not able to do she did but I spent a great deal of time with my dog and the dogs I have now are very much loved trained and well behaved and I always tried to find the best ways and different ways that work with the dog. In my opinion a dog is a dog it's not the dog to be judged it's the owners who teach them and train them that counts. I am not working the pet service is my work so schedule is flexible and I work with cats and dogs and even birds.and I am open with covid I do not have a fenced in yard I walk my dogs and occasionally do dog parks. I will gladly work with the owners on what they wish done. I am home 24/7 I do not work.The only time I am not home is if I have drs appointments or another client pet to attend to. I am very flexible in schedule. Please feel free to call me or text me. About: I absolutely love pets and will ALWAYS do my very best to make sure they are comfortable and well taken care of! I enjoy building trust between the pet and I to ensure a safe environment for the both of us. I have 3 dogs of my own and know what it’s like to worry about your fur babies in the hands of other people, my first priority is to have the client comfortable with my abilities to take care of their beloved pet. I’m a part-time student with an extremely flexible schedule! I’m always free during day time hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00AM-4:00PM. About: I grew up around all kinds of animals, from horses to bearded dragons! The past 12 years I’ve been working in the animal health care world as a vet tech. Not only will I love and take care of your critter while away, but I know what to look out for as well if they ever show signs of needing medical attention. I have lots of experience medicating animals or giving special attention to those older ones. So please think of me when needing someone you trust to take care of your pets while away, or if they just need some company or a walk throughout the day. I also love farm animals, and grew up on a ranch, so let me know if you need someone to watch your horses, chickens, goats, etc. I’m responsible and dependable, and would love to get to know you and your pet(s)! If you need me to stay at your house, know that I have a dog I would need to bring with me. I am very neat and clean, and would leave your house cleaner then when you left it! I will also advise you of any issues or concerns I’ve encountered while caring for your pet. Full disclosure is important to me, so I won’t hide anything from you I work full time but have the option to work from home if needed. I have a fully fenced in backyard and dog door. When staying with me, your pet will be able to choose from 2 dog beds, the living room furniture or my bed when they want to relax after a fun day.
