About: My family has always had pets so I'm comfortable with everything from cats and dogs to turtles and chickens. Young, old, wild, lazy, medicated, need to be medicated, I've dealt with it all. I've babysat and petsat for a variety of people off the books over the years and haven't had any complaints or issues. I like to send update photos to pet parents since I know leaving the babies with strangers can be a stressful experience. I work at the Lab Monday - Friday, 7-4ish. Otherwise, I'm open for business. Adjustments to my 4 o'clock time can be made with advanced warning. I can drop in or hang out as needed. Let me know. Santa Fe residents: I work at the Lab Monday - Friday, 7-4ish. That is a long stretch when including commute. If your pet needs to be let out for potty breaks or medication during weekdays, please keep this in mind. Like I said I can make adjustments with enough warning. I leave my availability as it is because I occasionally have a client in Los Alamos/White Rock that I can accommodate easier. Rover simply doesn't allow that kind of distinction on the basic settings so I try to be up front here. I can't board unfortunately but I can hang out on your home turf. This tends to be most comfortable for your pet anyway. I can drop in or stay the night, both are fine with me.

He was so kind and caring to them and he sent pictures every time he dropped by along with a quick message to update me on how they were doing. About: Dogs, and all animals, have been an integral part of my life since I was born. I helped to raise 3 wonderful family dogs and one of my own - all whom sadly but lovingly are no longer with us. In MI during high school I started my dog and house sitting business all through word of mouth. That continued after college and has been something I love to do throughout the years. I have experience with training puppies as well as medication administration and support for elderly dogs. I’m fortunate to have a flexible schedule to welcome the care of animals into my day. About: I am a mature and reliable person. My special skills comes by experience over time. I have had several feline companions over 40 years and had administered fluids via IV. I’ve had 2 canines. One for 10 years, one for 3 years. One had heart disease requiring regular pilling and anal gland expression. Another was a cockapoo I often groomed myself. I have a good sense when something is wrong. It may not be glaringly clear, but I do pick up on odd behaviors and look out for possible problems. I steer clear of edibles outside, but should I miss it, I can reach into mouths and attempt to remove before swallowing. I have been pet sitting since 2019. I have handled pets with various issues mental, emotional and physical. I love my new job. I am confident I will easily instill in you confidence and trust in me. Your companion(s) is priority in my schedule. My volunteer work, professional and social appointments can be made around their schedule. I am retired and do not NEED to be anywhere. I care for your companions same as you. I pay attention to any communication. I follow all the instructions I am given to the best of my abilities. I call or text if there is a question or situation not covered. I give affection and attention but gauge the appreciation. Watch for problems or changes, including in feces. I will send texts and pics daily.

“Sophia fed our two cats and cleaned the box every day for two weeks. Her arrival times varied greatly and we noticed that for several days she arrived quite late in the afternoon. We had requested she arrive by 8:30 or 9:00. However, we knew that she had moved into town and taken a job so it was not convenient for her to make the trip to Eldorado. She watered our gardens and we didn't lose very many plants due to heat, it also rained several times. It appeared she didn't water the indoor plants. She sent photos of one cat, Eleanor, who appeared daily; the other cat Harley was very unhappy with our absence and stayed hidden.”

I have 2 of my own but have family avail to take care of them as needed to be available for your pet(s) around the clock! For daycare/overnight boarding I have a fenced in yard with lots of space to run and play, and 2 friendly 3yo sheepdogs (65lbs) to keep yours company that adapt to a new dog’s personality and are very friendly w/dogs and ppl. If your pet prefers more special alone time that’s ok too as mine can be put away in a gated area separate from yours and taken care of by family. My home is a very sanitary/clean environment but dogs are allowed on all furniture so don’t worry about them getting into anything. My boy is always getting into mischief so every room is dog proofed so they can’t ingest or destroy anything, plus they will always be supervised. If I am staying at your home or dropping in I will make sure your pets routine stays the same and they have everything they need. I will also provide pictures and text updates throughout the day to always keep you informed and make sure you feel completely confident and comfortable trusting your fur babies with me. Same goes for walks I will use the route tracking so you always know where we are!
