“Ariel was amazing! She took such great care of our doggo while we were away. Great communication and made sure our dog was loved. Charlie loved all the play time and walks she took him on. Would highly recommend Ariel to anyone!”

“Highly Professional! Everything was clean and my cats were well taken care of. She was great with exotics and very comfortable with animals many feel very intimidated by. Very easy going and followed instructions perfectly. Am excited to find someone I can count on!”

“Lex was absolutely amazing and very accommodating! She took amazing care of my babies, she’s incredibly kind, and you can tell she takes pride in the work she does! Will definitely be hiring her again! 10/10”

“Jennifer is the BEST! We wouldn’t want anyone else watching our pup at this point! Her communication, commitment to her animals, and her positive attitude make her the best sitter for when you need someone! We are so appreciative!”

“This was our first time having Brinkley care for our cat. She was very responsive with communication and she sent photos of him. Usually he's very shy, but he warmed up to her right away and seemed to enjoy the visits. It's such a relief knowing that our fur baby is being cared for in such a loving manner. I would definitely recommend Brinkley to others and truly appreciate her expertise!”

“We love Courtney, she was so sweet with the boys! Sent me some adorable photos of them and we had a quick meet and greet just a couple days before on short notice, so that was super helpful and I greatly appreciated it. I’ll definitely be booking with her again eleven the time arrives. 😊”

“Kayleigh is wonderful with our cats! She takes great care of our home and sends us updates daily. We definitely recommend her to anyone who needs their pets cared for while away.”

“Fiona has been checking in on my two cats for the past 3 weeks and she has been very reliable. She’s spends time with the animals giving them so well needed attention and making sure they’re taken care of. Fiona has no issues with the instructions I’ve left for her and has done an amazing job with everything asked of her. She’s good with the animals and they love her maybe more than me. I always look forward to the cute pictures she sends of the cats. Highly recommend her.”

About: Hi!! I have had animals my WHOLE life, grew up on a farm so I’ve always been around animals. I have a cat that’s declawed and two kiddos in my home that love meeting new friends. I work from home and would love to help others by dog sitting and/or walking. I’m able to take the dogs out first thing in the morning, lunch time, and 2x in the evenings. I do have a fenced yard for the zoomies and a neighborhood with a sidewalk for walks. I look forward to getting to know your family pets and working together :) I take bookings only when I know I will have plenty of time during your pets stay to be sure they’re being walked and supervised while running around the yard. I have a fenced in yard for letting your pets outside and a crate, if your pet is crate trained. I am happy to follow any special instructions that you may have for your pets.
“Sarah was fantastic! We have a senior cat with health issues that requires medication every day. We were very worried about leaving her for so long we needed someone we could feel confident in to care for her. Sarah communicated every day and made us feel very at ease the entire time.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Elberta. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
