Our cat has some medical issues which requires medication (which he does not like to get of course) as well as more litter cleaning and fresh water changes than 95% of cats. I have a large creek that runs through my yard as well. We have a fenced area and I take dogs on leads to the outskirts of the fence and to the creek! Feeding is all done separately as I do not allow my dogs to eat together. Potty breaks are every hour-two hours!

“Jolene went above and beyond for my cat Princess. Just like her name she can be a lot to handle sometimes but Jolene really saw through to all of it. First of all, she took my booking even though I was booked for the same day. This was my first time using rover and the first time Princess has been away from me, but Jolene told me how everything works and made sure I was more than comfortable. When I got to her home I forgot Princess’ food due to how last minute everything was and Jolene went out and bought my baby some food. She had a whole room set up for Princess with toys and made it so easy for Princess to adjust to the environment. I got multiple videos, pictures and messages Of Princess and how she was doing/adjusting. She spent time with her! I genuinely could not have asked for anyone more helpful, understanding and caring. I couldn’t thank her enough for everything she did over the past 7 days and I am more than happy with this experience.”

About: I am wild about dogs, all breeds. I often think if I could go back, I might have gone to school to be a veterinarian. I grew up with dobermans, cats, riding horses and much more. I have found that most animals love me. I just lost my Golden Retriever, Nalu, after 14 amazing years. Something to be said in that she had more Facebook friends & photos than I do. I just moved down here a year ago from South Glastonbury and most of my new neighbors in Deep River have asked me to watch their animals at one time or another without any sort of solicitation so I believe that is a testament to my character and integrity. In the years since, I have had dogs, cats, small mammals and birds. I currently have 3 Australian Shepherds (all rescues) at home who are all 3 years old. One of them is blind (due to inappropriate breeding) and requires extra care and attention. I am new on the Rover scene, but not new to pets. Previously, I have been a pet sitter, volunteer for an animal shelter, and a foster home for rabbits through Lollypop Farm. I treat all animals as if they are my own and believe that pets should always be given the best care and attention. I also work part-time for a local pet sitting company, where I am honing in on my pet expertise regularly! I am comfortable giving meds (both pills and liquid via syringe), walking all breeds of dogs, and providing specialized care to pets with special needs and older pets. I am also comfortable with small animals, birds, and cats! I am currently available to provide pet care on the weekends. If you are interested in weekday pet care, send a message and we can see if we can make it work! I have a fenced yard at my home which my dogs use to run and play for hours each day. I prefer to supervise their activity inside the fence whenever possible. You never know what they can get themselves into! About: I grew up with dogs & cats. My parents bred Westies and we had a houseful. I’ve always had at least one dog and at least one cat until recently when I lost my most recent cat. Now Sophie, my dog, and I are on our own.
