About: I have had animals all of my life and have cared for them immensely. My family and friends say I have a special way with animals. I worked at a dog daycare and boarding facility for almost 2 years and got lots of experience caring for dogs there as well as opportunities to sit outside of it which has become a huge part of my life. I am currently a full-time purdue student who takes most classes online so I have plenty of time to care for your fur baby! I love going on walks so you can guarantee your fur baby will get some long peaceful and smellful walks! So far I have done both in-home and in my home. I make sure to have a specific wake up sleep schedule so my animals and the ones I have watched have a routine and care. As I mentioned before I love walks… so walks are guaranteed! About: I'm 50 years old, and have mostly owned pit bull breed dogs, but I love all breeds. From 2010 to 2018, my APBT was trained as a therapy animal, we did hospital visits and library events with children. I taught him several tricks, such as left, right, speak, play dead. My current pit is a rescue and I am off leash training. Dog Walking: I work in the Kankakee area, so coming to walk your dog in Kankakee, Bradley, Bourbonnais, is NO problem! Either in the mornings (after 7am) and/or later in the evenings (8ish pm) it's all negotiable. I live in Iroquois county, so I have more availability to walk your dog if you are in that area. Pet Sitting: I can come to sit in your home, if that is preferred. I am also available to just come let them outside, spend time and play, feed, water, clean up. Boarding: I would love to open our home to your precious babies. Non smoking, fenced in yard, lots of walks in my small town. My dog friendly pup can't wait to play tag around the dining room table. All pets are welcome on the couches and have full access to the entire 1st floor, including the bed in the spare room. My husband and I work different shifts, so someone is usually always home. A maximum of 3 to 4 hours of an occasional overlap in shifts. I am able to crate your pet if preferred, or close off access to half of the living space. Before boarding, a few meet and greets are necessary. More details as we move forward. Cats: I will help with your cats, spending time, play, feed, clean litter boxes. I also have several years of experience with birds. I know how important socializing is to birds, and leaving them alone can cause problems and stress. Boarding of cats and birds can be discussed. As I'm nearing retirement from the Healthcare field, I would like to do more of what I love, which is caring for and spending time with animals. As far as boarding your dog, my husband and I work different shifts, so someone is always home. A fully fenced back yard and good sniffer walks in my small town. Your dog is welcome on the couches and downstairs bed. Access to entire 1st floor. I can also crate if preferred. Baths and nail trims are no problem! I have a 60lb staffordshire terrier who loves all kids, people and dogs. It's playtime almost 24/7! Unless it's nap time and he's professional at that also!

I often come home on my lunch breaks to let the dogs out again, and I’m usually home between 4 and 5 in the afternoon for another potty break, dinner, and some relaxing downtime together. I’m flexible with feeding and walk times and can easily adjust my schedule to make sure your pet is comfortable, safe, and well cared for. I genuinely enjoy walks and love including them as part of my daily routine! Since I have two dogs of my own, I don’t offer overnight house sitting away from my home, but I’m happy to do drop-in visits and spend quality time with your pets while you’re away. I can come by for walks, playtime with their favorite toy or ball, or even practice basic commands using training treats or a clicker. I can also host them at my house for a stay! When your dog stays with me, they’ll be treated just like family, loved, cared for, and included in daily life. I have a fenced in backyard with plenty of space for running and playing. I do my best to follow the same routines and training methods you use at home, so your pet feels comfortable and confident while in my care.
