“Kayla B. was super responsive to messages. She took great care of my kitties while I was gone. House was in perfect shape and kitties were happy when we returned. Will definitely book with her again. Highly recommend.”

About: I grew up with animals ranging from cats all the way up to horses. I grew up with jack russell terriers, so dogs with a little extra “personality” do not bother me! I love dogs of all sizes and have a very good understanding of dog behavior, body language, and overall knowledge. I am CPR certified for animals as well! I work part time and am able to set my own schedule, so I’ll be able to work around the schedule you and your fur baby needs! Whatever needs your pet requires, they will each be met. Each pet’s care will be personally tailored to their specific needs, personality, and their wants.
“Kendall was excellent! Very communicative and patient when it came to Calamity’s care. She went above and beyond during her drop-ins with him. Would highly recommend, and would love to have her come back when I need a sitter again!”

About: Hello! I love working with all kinds of animals. I have been around various types of pets and farm animals since I was born. I am most experienced in working with dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, goats, and donkeys. I have pet sitted and farm sitted for multiple friends, family, and neighbors. I have boarded cats and dogs for my friends on occasions. I am also willing to help train dogs a few basic commands that are less than 2 years old. I currently work full time, but I am available in the mornings before 7:45 AM and in the evenings after 5:30 PM. I can do 2 evening visits, if needed (around 5:30 PM and around 9:30 PM) I have 2 very sociable dogs, a mix breed shelter rescue, Luna (about 40 lbs), and a great Pyrenees-German shepherd mix, Bandit (about 95 lbs).
About: I’ve grown up around animals and have always had a soft spot for them. I believe pets deserve the same patience, attention, and love they receive from their own families. I provide personalized care tailored to each dog’s personality, routine, and needs, not a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether your pup needs a fun walk, a midday potty break, plenty of play and cuddles, or a comfortable home away from home, I’m happy to help! I’m comfortable caring for puppies, adult dogs, and seniors, including dogs who need extra patience, frequent potty breaks, medications, or a little more TLC. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, exercise needs, routines, and behavior cues, and I prioritize safety and communication with every visit. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your furry family member is happy and well cared for. My goal is that when your dog is with me, I want them to feel safe, loved, and right at home. I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability to care for your pets. I’m generally available Monday and Tuesday afternoons, while Thursdays and Fridays are usually open throughout the day. My schedule can vary from week to week, so I’m happy to communicate about specific times and do my best to accommodate your pet’s needs! Safety, trust, and a calm environment are very important to me. I provide personalized, family-style care rather than a busy daycare setting. For in-home daycare, I only care for dogs from one household at a time, allowing your pup to receive plenty of individual attention without being surrounded by a large group of unfamiliar dogs. I do have a young child, so I’m especially mindful of temperament, boundaries, and safety. I only accept dogs who are comfortable in a family environment, and I closely supervise interactions between pets and children. I’m happy to discuss your dog’s personality and needs during our meet & greet to make sure we’re a good fit. In my home, your dog will have a safe and comfortable space to relax, play, get plenty of potty breaks, and follow their normal routine. For walks and drop-ins, I carefully follow your instructions and take extra care with doors, gates, leashes, and other safety considerations. I want you to feel confident that your pet is being cared for with the same patience, kindness, and attention I would want for my own.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 15 years and genuinely love spending time with animals. Whether your dog loves long walks, hiking, playing fetch, or just relaxing with company, I’m happy to match their energy and routine. As someone who is very active, I enjoy giving high-energy dogs the exercise and attention they need, but I’m just as comfortable caring for senior dogs who need a slower pace and extra patience. I provide dependable drop-in visits, walks, overnight sitting, feeding, medication if needed, lots of affection, and regular photo updates so you always know your pet is happy and safe. I treat every dog like they’re my own because I know how important peace of mind is when you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my schedule because I have a flexible work routine. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, and pet sitting throughout the week, including weekends when needed. I enjoy staying active, so long walks, outdoor adventures, and playtime are some of my favorite parts of caring for dogs. I’ll always do my best to work around your pet’s routine so they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, I’ll follow their normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special instructions. I believe consistency helps pets feel secure, so I’ll treat them like family while respecting your home as if it were my own. You’ll receive regular photo and video updates, so you can relax knowing your pet is in caring, dependable hands.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
