“This was the first time using Rover. My contact with Kristen was easy and after the reading the reviews I felt she was the right choice for Diamond. Diamond came home happy and we will contact Kristen for our next sitting needs.”

“John was awesome. Our dog Jake had a blast playing with the other dogs. And, John keeps t us posted with pics and videos and was extremely quick to respond whenever we reached out to him. His house/yard is set up great for hosting dogs. Large yard. Highly recommend him and we will be using him again”

“Christianna was willing to keep our black lab Tazz over the Thanksgiving holiday. We were pleased that Christianna helped us out at the last minute and was flexible about the drop off and pick-up of our pet. The backyard is very large and has a 6' high wooden fence. Tazz seemed happy in all the photos shared over the seven day period. She was happy and healthy when we returned to pick her up. We have discovered that dropping Tazz off in Elizabeth City as we head north to Washington DC adds only 15 minutes one way to the drive. I would definitely leave Tazz with Christianna again.”

About: I am a mom to 4 high-energy medium/large breed dogs. I am no stranger to cleaning up accidents, administering medications, handling pets with reactivity, and fulfilling exercise such as playing fetch, tug, flirt pole, long walks, brain stimulation (keeping up with training/commands) or simply snuggling if your baby is low activity. I have been a self-employed residential cleaner for over 8 years and create my own schedule allowing me the flexibility to care for your pets and mine! I am so grateful for all my clients who trust me to help take care of their home and I am hoping to build trust with pet parents as I would love to transition into pet care full time as it has always been what I am most passionate about. While I do have four dogs of my own, I am able to keep your dogs separate from mine at all times if requested and or necessary when boarding. I built my dogs their own apartment behind our house fully equipped with heat, ac, a bed, and doggie door leading to a fenced in area so your dog(s) does not have to be dog friendly and we are also child free so your dog can be the only baby in our home the duration of their stay! But if you would like for your dog(s) to have a playdate and a doggie daycare style stay that can be arranged as well!
“OMG!!!! By far THE BEST EXPERIENCE I could ask for. Loved the transparency from the beginning! My Harmonie had the BEST time and I loved the pic mail received during her stay. Definitely will rebook when in town!!!!”

“We dropped off our dog, Alfie, on our way to the outerbanks as our Airbnb didn’t allow dogs and we are so glad we booked with Kristin. Alfie had so much fun playing at their home and Kristin made sure to keep us updated with photos throughout the entire trip.”

“Melanie and Addison treated our dogs just like their own. Because of this, I was able to actually enjoy vacation. They are amazing and our dogs were very well cared for.”

About: 40+ years’ experience caring for and loving dogs of all ages. I’m comfortable with puppies, senior dogs and even those in their prime with plenty of energy. I am experienced with administering medicine if needed and caring for those with special needs. My husband and I have always had our own fur babies (toy and standard poodles), but do not have any currently. Can host only NON-SHEDDING BREEDS, due to family allergies. Must be house broken/trained (to potty outside), with the exception of puppies. I am retired, so I’m always here to give extra cuddles, potty breaks, play time and walks. I really love their company! Tell me their routine while at home with you and I will do my best to ensure it stays the same when in my care. We have a large fenced yard with shade in a small and quiet subdivision. Our home is two story so plenty of room for playing and naps. If they do not care stairs, I will ensure stay on the main floor. Our neighborhood is perfect for walks. I have crates if they are crate trained and you prefer that, but that is not necessary unless that is your preference. Being on the furniture or bed in our home is fine with me too. I give extra special attention if they are nervous for any reason such as thunderstorms, loud noises (such as fireworks on a holiday). I am very attentive and adapt to small things such as if they just don't like going out in the rain. I always send daily updates including photos, videos & text throughout their stay.
About: About Me: Welcome to your dog’s home-away-from-home! I’m Jennie, and my husband, Paul, and I live on 15 beautiful acres where dogs get to experience a true vacation. Our property includes a peaceful 4-acre lake that’s perfect for safe, supervised exercise and refreshing dips, plus a secure 1/3-acre fenced backyard for free play, fetch, and zoomies. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and personalities — from adventurous swimmers to couch-loving cuddlers — and I treat each one like family. Whether your pup loves to run, swim, or simply lounge in the sun, they’ll enjoy plenty of attention, outdoor time, and love here. Why Dogs (and Their Humans) Love Staying Here: Huge space to explore: forest trails, lake time, and open fields Secure fenced area for off-leash play Constant companionship and careful supervision Daily updates with photos and fun reports Peaceful, low-stress environment surrounded by nature I work from home full time, so dogs are never alone and enjoy lots of attention, play, and outdoor time. We take regular walks, lake visits, and cuddle breaks throughout the day—every pup stays happy, supervised, and loved. Morning: The day begins with breakfast and a relaxed morning walk down our country path. After that, dogs stretch their legs in the fenced yard or take a splash in the lake (for those who love water!). Midday: After some play, it’s downtime—naps in the shade or inside the house while I tidy up and send photo updates to you. Midday enrichment like treat puzzles or quiet cuddles keeps them content. Afternoon: Adventure time! We might stroll the acreage, watch the ducks on the lake, or enjoy off-leash fetch in the secure yard. Dogs get as much or as little activity as suits their energy level. Evening: Dinner, another gentle walk, and a cozy wind-down before bedtime. Pups settle in tired, relaxed, and happy after their day of fun. Every stay is filled with fresh air, playtime, and personalized love. Your dog will leave refreshed, relaxed, and ready to come back!
“Kimberly was very patience and nice with my Bella. I know Bella can be very challenging and often a hand full. She did an awesome job. Thanks, again Kimberley. Job well done. I will recommend her to everyone I know.”

“This is my 1st time using this service, and I cannot be happier with not only my experience, but also the experience provided for my dog. Jeannie was great taking care of my dog for almost a week over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Although I was over 1100 miles away, she did a fantastic job providing updates, photos and videos of my crazy dog. My dog is very challenging, and Jeannine expertly handled the quirky nature of my dog and providing her all the attention that she needs. I highly recommend Jeannine for your pooch’s needs. She provides an excellent value and knowledge that is typically reserved for more costly providers!”

About: Hello! I’ve taken care of dogs since I was in high school. When my parents brought me home from the hospital as a newborn, I was greeted by a basset hound. Since then, I have spent everyday with a basset! However, I have experience with dogs all ages and sizes. I love to walk and be outside but also enjoy some snuggle time! I work remotely so I am relatively flexible. I usually take a lunch break (sometime between 11 and 1) so that would be a perfect time to play with your pet! I am also available mornings (6-8:30am) and evenings (4:30-9pm) after typical working hours. I am more flexible on weekends with no major commitments. I am not providing services in my home at this time but I am happy to come to your home. I stay the night or drop in (up to client).

About: I’ve lived with animals more than I’ve lived without them - from house pets to farm dogs to the occasional goat. I grew up caring for both indoor and outdoor dogs, and I’ve raised my own husky from puppyhood. I’ve also cared for everything from tiny Yorkies to a rottweiler-lab mix during full-time stays. Cats have always been part of my life too, both my own and others’. I connect easily with animals, especially the shy ones. They tend to trust me — and I never take that lightly. I study from home as a musician and spend most of my time in my cozy house, which makes pet care a perfect fit. I’m home, present, and happy to have furry coworkers again. I miss the routine and joy animals bring. I’m available for boarding on most weekdays and weekends, except for Fridays and Sundays when I travel out of town. I currently don’t have any pets of my own, so your furry companion will have my full attention. My home is small but open, with minimal furniture, making it safe and comfortable for pets to move around. I also have a screened-in back porch that’s great for lounging, and a decently sized yard for supervised playtime, even though it’s not fenced. I aim to create a calm, cozy, and secure environment.
