“Jinna and Dui kept Nissy for 5 hours today as a way for them to get to know Nissy and vise versa before she stays with them for a week starting this Friday. Jinna sent pictures and a video during the stay to help alleviate my fears (we’ve never left Nissy with anyone but family before). When I picked her up, she was happy and interacting with Jinna’s dog and another dog Jinna was sitting for…which was really a wonderful surprise because Nissy usually just tries to hide from other dogs. Jinna’s house is very clean and pet friendly, she has a great back yard and she is so sweet and gentle, and is obviously very comfortable caring for other people’s pets. I can finally relax and enjoy myself when we can’t take our pup with us knowing she will be loved and well cared for by Jinna!”

About: I worked in marine mammal care and training at The Indianapolis Zoo for 10 years, and I hold a bachelor’s degree in behavioral neuroscience from Purdue University. My partner and I both work from home and we have two dogs of our own, so pet care fits naturally into our daily routine. I have 2 friendly, crate trained dogs who get walks 2-3 times/day. We also recently built a mini dog park in our back yard for dogs who prefer to be off leash, but also need to be supervised while outside.

About: Over the past two years, I’ve been responsible for caring for a Golden Retriever from puppy to adulthood. I’m familiar with maintaining routines, handling energy levels, and making sure dogs feel safe and well cared for. I am a full-time work from home employee and I’m able to care for dogs while I work. While i do ask that your dog be kid-friendly, i also make sure our children respect each dog’s comfort level and personal space.
