About: My mother is a veterinarian with her own practice, so I grew up around an abundance of animals and know plenty about caring for them. My career allows me to choose my own schedule, I don't usually have shifts longer than 5/6 hours long. This allows me to take dogs out for walks or to a dog park, or I can just go home and hang out with my cat. I have a large fenced in yard with access to woods, plenty of local trails for dog walks, local lake of your dog likes to swim. Dogs and cats in my home, but there's a good sized guest bedroom that is kept closed of from the rest of my home if you have a pet that is less friendly with others.

About: Animals are children to me. Grew up with many dogs/cats & birds! Offer great at home visits to exercise, play & feed your pets! Strong, driven individual that can handle multiple large dogs at a time. Also have trained many puppies through my youth and adult life, so can handle the little ones too! Respectful to clients and pets alike, understanding the value and security of your home and neighborhood. Will always walk dogs until they poop and pee; will pet and play with them during walks and visits. Please do not hesitate to ask questions or request supplemental services. You will not regret picking me as your animals caretaker!! I am working part time with a flexible schedule, so boarding your dog takes priority. I wake up early each morning and retire around 9p I have many trails in the back of our property, with hills and fields to run in. Dogs are given all the love I can muster in the home and out on walks or hikes! Very safe environment for your dog

“Anesa is great. She and Dexter got along famously. We appreciate that she took him on a hike and on playdates with other dogs over the weekend. She also gave us periodic photo updates which were greatly appreciated. We'll definitely rebook the next time we need a sitter!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my hands-on experience, reliability, and genuine love for animals. I’ve cared for both energetic puppies and older pets who need a slower pace and extra patience. I’m great at picking up on individual needs—whether that’s sticking to a strict feeding schedule, handling clean-up routines, or giving pets the one-on-one attention they deserve. I am free most weekdays after 3pm and open on weekends. I can guarantee you my undivided attention to your pets. I will make sure they are taken care of wonderfully. In my home, pets enjoy a safe, clean, and calm space with plenty of love and attention. I follow their routines carefully to keep things familiar and stress-free. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect the space, follow all instructions, and ensure their pet feels secure and cared for. Clear communication and gentle, attentive care help build trust every step of the way.

“James is an awesome dog and house sitter! He took the dogs on great walks and sent us some adorable pictures while we were away. We came home to two happy, calm pups and a clean, orderly house. Highly recommend!”

My dogs absolutely love her! I highly recommend her. She’s reliable and communicative and I’m looking forward to having her stay with them again soon!”

“Kasey house/pet sat my 2 cats and chickens on a holiday weekend and did a great job communicating with me. I appreciated the photo updates and she left the house just as I left it! Definitely will reach out again.”

About: I work remotely for an international development organization based in DC. My schedule is flexible, leaving me plenty of time to spend outdoors with some new furry friends! I have always loved taking care of dogs and come from a large, dog-owning family. I have extensive experience dog walking and sitting both small and large breeds, from Cavalier King Charles Spaniels to Labs to Bernese Mountain Dogs! I currently own a 4 year old white shepherd named Storm who loves to walk and play with other dogs. I am open to taking our pups on walks together, on trail hikes, or to the dog park. Available for daily walks, drop in visits, and dog sitting. I look forward to meeting you! Also open to discussing boarding in our home, pending meet and greet with my dog Storm. I work remotely from home, so I am flexible when taking care of dogs. Happy to work with you on a recurring schedule, or for one-time walks/visits! I work remotely full-time from home and my schedule is flexible. I take my dog, Storm, out for short (less than 30 min) and longer walks (over 1 hour) 2-3 times a day. We also enjoy using nearby trails, as well as the trails on our property. I currently live in a farmhouse in Royalton. There is no fenced in area, but we have trails on our property for dogs to walk (on leash) or run (depending on your comfort and their recall).

About: Over 16 years training, walking and exercising high energy dogs. I have extensive experience with working dogs, special needs dogs and have certifications in dog obedience and other disciplines. I am licensed as a public school teacher and fully background checked. Contact me for the best care. Boarding and adventure daycare is my speciality. I have limited housesitting and drop in availability. Dog walking and exercising is my full-time job. I want to provide a concierge service that makes it easiest for you to take your time back and be well. Your wellness is key to your dog being well. My joy for this profession started when I couldn't find a trusted sitter and dog walker for my own animal. I decided to provide that service to others so they wouldn't have the same problem. I give love, attention and exercise to your family member as if they were my own. I am a licensed public school educator who is fully background checked with glowing references that can be provided and contacted.

“I am so grateful Elijah was able to care for our dog Louie while my husband and I were out of town for the weekend. He was great at keeping us updated on how things were going, touching base several times a day and sending photos. When we arrived home, Louie seemed calm and relaxed. Our home was left neat and tidy. We look forward to working with Elijah again knowing that we can be at ease leaving Louie in his care.”

About: I’m a lifelong cat owner and appreciator, and have brought dogs into my life in the last 5 years (but adored friends dogs all the while)—I’ve owned two husky’s and got a crash course in dog attitudes and needs with their specific personalities. Flexible schedule—I work remotely and can generally adjust as needed to your pets care needs. Let’s work something out! With notice most schedules are possible. I follow needs and instructions to a T and offer kind and compassionate and confident care. I want pet and owner to feel happy and safe.

About: I grew up on a small farm as a child. From very young, I was responsible for mucking stalls on weekends and feeding our horses and family dog. I've have had my own dog/dogs for the last 13 years and can't imagine a life without them. I am either at home with my daughter or working from home while she is at school, so I have lots of time to walk and care for your dog. I go out, for example, to run errands, but would never be leaving your dog for long. We would love to have your well-behaved dog that is used to a younger child (age 11) while you are away or in the area, and would love and cuddle your dog as our own. We would love to hang out with your dog during the day inside or outside on walks as you felt comfortable. At night, I ask that your dog(s) be amenable to either sleeping in a crate or in a bed without barking. Our dog sleeps in an open soft crate--we don't allow dogs on furniture. If we sound like a good fit for you, I would love to talk to make sure we are indeed the right sitter for you. I know that a dog often feels as much a part of a family as a child -- and would be honored to be entrusted with such a responsibility. Thank you. :)

Olive T.
“Olive is my go-to dog and cat sitter. I have two Labrador Retrievers and two Maine Coon cats. My labs love her--she stays overnight (and lets the dogs cuddle in bed with her, which is their preference), walks the dogs, plays with them, and feeds the dogs and cats according to schedule. Olive's mother is my vet--which leaves me to believe that Olive knows how to manage and handle dogs by osmosis! She is very dependable, leaves my home tidier than it was when I left, and communicates with me (texts and photos) while I am away.”

Andrew C.
“Andrew watched my dog for me and did an excellent job--he's kind and caring, with an obvious affection for animals. Andrew is very thorough and detail-oriented, and I'd trust him to take care of my dog again anytime.”

“I had the pleasure of having Carlyan care for my cat, Toby, while I was away, and I couldn’t be more grateful for her help. Toby can be a bit shy and particular, but Carlyan was incredibly gentle and caring with him from the start. She took the time to make sure he felt safe, comfortable, and loved, and I could tell he was in good hands throughout the entire time I was gone. Carlyan communicated with me regularly, kept me updated, and followed all of Toby’s care instructions perfectly. Her calm and attentive nature made all the difference. I would confidently recommend her pet sitting services to anyone looking for a responsible, kind, and reliable caregiver. I’ll absolutely be calling on her again! – Jess R.”

Laura R.

“Laura is hands down the best dog walker I have ever had. JJ's favorite part of the day is walk time with Laura! She not only is amazing with JJ and other dogs - you can tell she is a dog lover - but she also is responsible, punctual, and attentive to JJ's needs. I know her schedule is pretty full, but if you can, try to get Laura for your Portland dog walking needs, your dog will thank you. 4 out of 4 paws!!”

“Cristina at Bow Wow Babysitters is the hardest working and most caring pet sitter provider in the business. She has cared for my dogs (and even our horses) many times in my home and I leave knowing my little girl Stella will be so happy with Cristina to take her for walks, give her lots of loving and well cared for. I'm very thankful that there are people like Cristina out there to help keep our pets safe and happy when I travel.”
