“Megan did an excellent job of keeping me informed every morning about Prada. She provided me with specific details that I was concerned about and even went above and beyond to check on things that didn’t directly involve my dog. I received daily pictures, and if she had any questions, she didn’t hesitate to ask. I will definitely be using her services in the future.”

About: *Hello! My name is Jessica and I cannot wait to pet sit for you! I have roughly 15 years of experience with pet/house sitting. With me, you'll be able to enjoy vacation, spend time with family, or whatever it may be with reassurance and a sigh of relief knowing that your little furry family member is in good hands. *I started off many years ago cat sitting for 2 cats and one of them needed a lot of care including medication twice a day. Over the years, that led to dog sitting 2 dogs. Pretty soon, that family referred me to another family, they did the same, and next thing I know I had about 4 different families that I was sitting for. I recently took some time off, but I am ready to start again! *For my job, I start at midnight until usually 8:30am. At some point during the day, I do online college courses (I'm done with schooling at the end of this year), so that means I will be able to spend basically the entire day with your pet! *Not only will booking with me help you, but it also benefits me because I thoroughly enjoy being around animals. Where I live, I am not allowed pets so anytime I am able to help people and it so happens to involve an animal, I am happy! *For pricing, I'm willing to talk about it. I will work with you especially if you have any additional services that may need done like cleaning up your house, etc. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you consider me when choosing a pet sitter. I work full time but start at midnight until 8:30am. That gives me the ability to be able to be at your house all day with your pet(s)! That means they won't be lonely while you're gone! In your house, I will give your dog all the comfort that it needs because I'm sure not having their owner around will be an adjustment at first. I am able to take your pet on as many walks as needed, follow whatever food schedule that is required, and have as much cuddle time as they let me! I would care for your pet with the mindset that this is a little family member and treat it with the kindness and respect all animals deserve and I never bring anyone else over to the client's house.
“Kayleigh was so great with my dogs and she went above and beyond to care for my senior dog. Communication was top notch and she kept me updated about everything. She’s great and we can’t wait to see her again.”
“Christina was an amazing pet sitter! She stayed in our home for a long weekend to care for our mini labradoodle and our rabbit. I knew from the beginning that the pets were in good hands--she asks detailed questions and makes sure she has all the right info in case of emergency. She sent lots of pictures and was an excellent communicator. We came home to happy pets and a spotless house. I will 100% be booking with her again when we need a sitter!”

About: Although I do not currently have pets of my own, I have always loved animals and have been the go-to pet sitter for friends and colleagues since moving back to Pittsburgh in 2019. I have cared for dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, and personalities, from quick check-ins to longer stays. Because I work remotely, my schedule is flexible and I can provide consistent care, attention, and updates while you are away. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet and your home, so I try to be dependable, communicative, and attentive to each pet’s routine. Since I do not have pets of my own, I genuinely enjoy getting to care for other people’s pets like they are part of my extended family. I work remotely, so my schedule is flexible and I can provide pet care during the day, in the evenings, and on weekends depending on the booking. Because I can work from different locations, I’m able to spend quality time with pets during house sitting stays and provide consistent check-ins, feeding, walks, playtime, and updates. I’m happy to follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I care for pets in their own home, where they can stay comfortable with their usual routine, space, food, toys, and schedule. I always follow owner instructions closely, including feeding, medication, walks, litter care, crate routines, and any house rules. I’m respectful of both your pet and your home, and I prioritize communication, safety, and calm, attentive care. I’ll also send updates so you know your pet is doing well while you’re away.
“Charles was great! We really appreciated how accommodating he was with our unusual dog situation. He was respectful, took great care of our dog, and made everything easy for us. We would definitely recommend him!”

“Third time having JaVae watch our pets at our home and another great experience. We trust her and she's so patient with our very anxious dog. Always a pleasure!”

About: Experience & Background: Hands-On Fostering & Rescue Experience. My understanding of canine behavior comes from my experience as a dog foster. Fostering taught me how to support dogs of all personalities—from rescue pups adjusting to new environments, to high-energy dogs needing structured outlets, to timid pets requiring extra patience and gentle encouragement. Fostering trained me to read subtle dog body language, manage different temperaments safely, and strictly follow customized care plans, feeding schedules, and medication routines. Yes, I can give insulin if needed. Safety-First Approach & Dog Handling: Your dog’s safety and well-being are my highest priorities. In addition to my rescue experience, I practice strict safety protocols during every visit and walk: Leash & Gear Awareness: Double-checking harnesses, collars, and leashes before every walk to prevent escapes or gear failures. My well maintained fenced yard has ample amount of room to catch some sunlight and run and play. Proactive Walking Habits: Maintaining full environmental awareness on walks—avoiding unwanted off-leash dog encounters, staying clear of busy street hazards, and pacing walks to match your dog's fitness level and the weather. Routine & Structure: Following your home rules and training cues consistently so your dog maintains their normal routine without unnecessary stress. Tailored Care for Every Stage of Life Whether your dog needs a fast-paced exercise walk, structured mental enrichment and playtime, or gentle companionship for a senior pet, I adapt my care to their exact physical and emotional needs. You can expect detailed updates and photos after every visit, so you always know your pet is safe, happy, and well-cared for. I currently work from home during the week and have open availability during the weekends. I'm open to extended stays and to all your pets needs. Hi, I’m Ryan! Whether you need active daily walks, structured drop-in visits, or attentiveness while you’re away, my goal is to give your dog a safe, fun, and fulfilling experience—and give you complete peace of mind. ### Why Choose Me? - High-Attention & Structured Care: I understand that every dog has different needs—from high-energy breeds that need solid physical exercise to timid pups that require patience and gentle encouragement. - Safety & Reliability First: I practice proper leash etiquette, maintain total awareness on walks, and follow your home and feeding routines to the letter. - Clear & Consistent Updates: You will receive daily updates with HD photos and details on feeding, bathroom breaks, and activities after every visit or walk. ### What Care Looks Like: - Dog Walking: Tailored to your pup's energy level, whether that means a fast-paced fitness walk or a leisurely "sniffari." I handle leash manners with care and always double-check secure gear before heading out. - Drop-In Visits & Sitting: Includes fresh water, scheduled meals, playtime/enrichment, mental stimulation, and any medication administration your pet requires. - Daily Routine: I stick strictly to the house rules you’ve established so your dog stays on their normal, comfortable schedule. ### Safety & House Rules: - I always conduct a Meet & Greet prior to booking to ensure we’re a great fit. - I do not take unvetted dogs off-leash in un-fenced areas. - I am comfortable managing specific feeding routines, basic training reinforcement, and special care instructions. “Brittani was awesome! Could tell right from the start that she was going to take great care of Bentley but also calm and trustworthy in our home. She sent us pictures of him without request so we knew he was good and taken care of. Will definitely use Brittani again multiple times”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Dunlevy walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Dunlevy maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
<b>Tip:</b> Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dunlevy choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
