About: I am a stay at home mom that wants to offer my time and service to care for other’s pets. I have a deep love and care for dogs and prioritize safety for everyone. I am big on communication and keeping the parents informed on how their pets stay is going. I’m pretty flexible for whatever the parent and pet needs since I am home all day. I’m happy to accommodate to help make this experience easier. I have a hugged fenced in yard that is perfect for those super energetic dogs and the ones that just enjoy sniffing around. I have a dedicated room for the pets that I will care for but they are more than welcome to roam around the house and sprawl out on the furniture. Crates are used during feeding time or when I am away to prevent any accidents.

The first thing I do every morning before leaving for work is hang out in the fenced yard area outside with whatever dog I am caring for at the time. Thankfully my job is flexible, so I am able to come home for lunch every day at lunch to let dogs out, stretch their legs in the yard, and get a little bit of play time in. After work I enjoy taking long walks around the neighborhood to burn off some energy and allow for some enrichment for each pup. Weekends are pretty similar, as I usually tend to spend time taking dogs to a local park for long walks and lots of fun. My home is pet-friendly, clean, and has a fully fenced backyard area for dogs to play freely and securely for as long as they would like. My dog Molly is also extremely friendly and playful, making for a great environment to wear off some energy. With enough notice I can make changes in regards to scheduling. Besides that I love going to the river with my dog or am just as happy sitting on the couch. I like a good schedule: something for me to follow, to know exactly what you expect and need. My dog and I walk in the mornings and after work or let out back on a lead, depending on weather. I am always outside with her. I take care of my cat litter everyday or every other. Swiffer everyday! I don't know how the litter travels everywhere!! Drives me nuts!

About: I'm excited to be watching dogs again! I also watch entire farms, and many different types of animals.. just ask. Until I get a steady amount of pups per month, I do work outside the home M-F. My home is a TinyHome (12x40 shed conversion) =480 sq ft of play space, and a big yard (now fenced!) and a local park nearby. I've been pet sitting since I was 10. I LOVE dogs! I can administer medication both oral and with a shot under the skin. I ask that the dogs that I sit to be house/potty trained, unless it's a puppy younger than 6 months, and we've chatted about the pups needs. They also need to be able to put a leash on them, without any agression. Snappy or biting dogs aren't a good fit for me or my own dogs. >> I want your pet to be as relaxed and happy as I can make them. Leaving your baby is hard to do but I will try my hardest to make it feel like I'm part of your pets family. I will never force a situation where you or your pet is uncomfortable. I am accommodating and patient. I'm currently a caregiver to my in-laws which allows me the flexibility and time to spend time with your babies when you can't be there. I can easily crate dogs when needed and more than happy to roll around on the floor to play with them. I have a ball obsessed dog so I understand throwing the ball repeatedly.

I'm very happy with the excellent level of care Acacia gives to pets in her home. I have seen the care she gives to other dogs that were being boarded with her as well as the daily picture an text updates while boarding mine- I have no problem giving a 5 star rating to her. She is who I request when I can't be with my pup. Acacia will treat your dog just as you treat them (or better) while she has them. Highly satisfied with her care. I was dog trainer/ handler while deployed in Afganistan, and she is the only person I have found that puts as much thought and effort into the dog as I do. I wouldnt board them with anyone else in Fairbanks. She is also always available, and answers texts right away- very reassuring, when a pet parent is away from their pup.”
