“Jaime is an angel! She took great care of my senior Yorkie Tank (13 YO). Although my request was last minute it went through seamlessly and later she was able to extent his stay with no problem. Her vet tech experience was incredibly important for my baby’s medical condition. She also trimmed his nails for me. I asked for numerous updates which Jamie provided through text, photos and videos. She even went to pick up his wet food when he didn’t eat the dry food I provided. She lives on a yacht and has an excellent setup for fur babies. Now I brag to everyone how my baby boy spent his summer vacation on a yacht 😂.”

About: I’ve had to help take care of dogs my entire life… Growing up, our family always had larger breeds of dogs which taken care of was part of my responsibilities in my adult life. I have had my own dogs… I currently do not have any dogs though. I currently work full-time as a teacher, but I have flexibility to come home during the day. and I am finished each day by 2:30 I live in an apartment under a house with a very large yard, but not fenced in… My landlord‘s upstairs do have a big Doberman, but he is super friendly. I can only accommodate pet friendly dogs at my home.
“We had not boarded Sherlock before, and we were nervous. OMG, he had the best time. He loves other dogs, so it went well! Julie sent us daily pics and updates. We realized he was having a wonderful time. That allowed us to relax on our trip. Sherlock even hesitated at the gate when I picked him up, I think he might have wanted to stay with his new friends!!!”

“Sonja was wonderful with our golden doodle, Sophie. She sent us lots of pictures and updates while we were away for the weekend. We could relax knowing she was in good hands. We definitely hope to use her again in the future.”

About: I love dogs! I'll love on them, take them hiking, run with them, etc. I have been caring for dogs, mine and others, for over 15 years, from Jack Russels to Great Danes! This includes, long term and daily visits, helping train and giving medicines. I grew up with family pets and always had several of my own at one time. My own sweet dog is 15 years old and still going strong and I also have an adventurous little cat. Fun fact: They are both international travelers and have been to 6 other countries and traveled more than half of the United States and lived on a sailboat for over 5 years with me. I have open availability for visits and walks for dogs of all ages and sizes. I am great at training puppies and caring for seniors. I love to stay active and outdoors so taking your pups with me is a fun way to spend time doing just that!
“Our pup had such a great time staying with Patricia! We came to the area for a wedding and she kept him for the weekend. It was such a joy to see pictures of our fur baby having a blast with new friends, and we highly recommend booking with her!”

About: I’m a huge animal lover and the type of person who will absolutely stop to say hi to every dog I pass. I truly love caring for animals and making them feel safe, comfortable, loved, and right at home while their owners are away. I’ve been watching dogs and cats for years for friends, family, referrals, and people I’ve met along the way, and I genuinely enjoy every minute of it. Growing up, my family helped with dog rescues — and still do today — so caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I love getting to know every pet’s unique personality. I also have experience with longer-term care and have watched pets for entire summers (up to 3 months at a time), so I understand how important consistency, patience, and trust are when caring for someone’s furry family member. My goal is always to make your pet feel like they’re on their own little vacation while you’re away and make sure they are happy, loved, comfortable, and cared for. I know leaving your pet with someone is a big deal, and I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and someone you can genuinely feel comfortable trusting with your pet. I would be so excited and grateful for the opportunity to meet you and your pet 🐶🐱. I work from home remotely a lot and am able to take full care of your pets on the weekends and most weekdays. It is a hobby/job for me because I love animals so much! I treat everyone’s pets like my own. Growing up, I had cats, dogs, horses, and every animal you could think of. I would love to have an animal now of my own, but I travel often!
“James and Nancy were absolutely fantastic sitters for Dobby and Troubles! From the very beginning, their communication was clear, consistent, and reassuring. We received regular updates and photos, which made us feel completely at ease knowing our pups were in such good hands. Not only did they provide excellent care, but they also went above and beyond by sharing helpful local recommendations and suggestions during our trip. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail truly made a difference. Dobby and Troubles came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well-loved. We couldn’t ask for a better experience and will definitely book with James and Nancy again. Highly recommended!”

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
