The number of pets I can accommodate depends on their size, energy level, temperament, and individual needs. If you prefer and request your pet(s) to be the only ones boarded during their stay, please notify me in advance. This waiting period allows each dog to decompress, adjust to the new environment, and display their natural behavior before meeting others. If a dog shows signs of stress or discomfort, introductions may be delayed or adjusted for safety. 🐾About me: I was raised on a farm containing large and small animals so I was taught the importance of all living things, but the passion for them bloomed on its own. During my time as a veterinary technician, I gained valuable hands-on experience, including learning how to properly administer medications and mastering essential techniques. My experience at a professional boarding facility further reinforced my passion for providing personalized, attentive care through home-based pet services. I recently worked as a groomer's apprentice, but I’m currently studying to become a certified dog obedience trainer, which will expand my ability to support your furry family members. I’ve loved every moment of my past four years on Rover, from meeting incredible families to caring for pets of all types and personalities. 🐾As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your pets the attention they deserve. I’m here to help whenever you need a trusted sitter! To ensure a balanced schedule for both my family and the pets in my care, my phone is silenced between 10 PM and 8 AM. If your fur-baby is a social butterfly, they’ll love visiting me. My home often welcomes friends and family, some bring their dogs for playdates, too! For less social pets, I will ensure a calm and comfortable environment tailored to their needs. While my new home doesn’t have a fenced yard, I’ve adjusted by providing supervised outdoor time with 15-foot leads in my spacious backyard. I also prioritize mealtime safety and feed pets in separate spaces to ensure a stress-free experience. If a crate is needed, I have one available so you don't have to transport yours!

About: Have had dogs all my life, small/large and medically complex needing meds, love to train, have done cat sitting for medical cats and normal ones I am currently a student in college but only have 2 classes a per week, also am active and am willing to change schedules around :) I am currently not taking pets for boarding as I have my own dog now, but would love to take care of your pets at your home and provide them with enrichment whenever you need/want.

About: I have previously worked with Flying Fur, a doggy daycare and boarding service located in Newport, VA. Here, I gained experience working with various breeds and temperaments, and I would be happy to help you with your animal while you are away. In high school, I took small animal care as well as vet science, and have interacted with several of the therapy dogs on Radford University Campus. I am currently a college student working part-time, and I’d love to help care for your pet on my free time!! I am free weekly in the mornings and evenings! Can’t wait to meet your pets! About: Hey there! I absolutely adore all animals and have a fur baby of my own - a 7 year old Havanese dog named Teddy who’s my best friend and adventure buddy! He also happens to be a very anxious dog with separation anxiety, so I understand just how important it can be to have someone that is able to check in on your pets while you’re away. I have a car and a very flexible schedule, so I am able to check in your pets throughout the day and provide food, walks, or exercise/play breaks whenever needed! I also have experience administering medication and caring for older cats through my time fostering for local animal shelters. About: Hello! I love all types of pets and currently have two dogs of my own. I am a student at Virginia-Maryland college of veterinary medicine trying to earn some extra money by doing what I love, playing with pets. I have experience with all types of pets at varying sizes and personalities. During my undergraduate career, I raised two Seeing Eye Dogs and helped other raisers with training. During this time, I worked at a veterinary hospital, participated in animal specific events like vaccination clinics, and groomed. From healthy puppies and kittens to seniors who need medication, I have seen it all and am prepared to help with whatever your pet needs. I hope I can meet your fur babies and shower them with love while you’re away. I offer additional grooming services, ask about them if your interested. As someone who owns two dogs, pet care is a priority in my life. Both of my pups get plenty of one-on-one time as well as long walks and enrichment in the house. During the day, the pups are crated while I am at school, but if my boyfriend is off of work they get to run around and play. As soon as I get home the dogs get taken out and fed. Along with daily care, I take care of all of their grooming and medical needs as well. I currently live in apartment complex which has a dog play area for your furry friends to get plenty of exercise. There is also a trail connected to the complex which will be utilized for long walks and plenty of sniffing opportunities. Both of my pups are very friendly and would be happy to be your pet’s playmate during their stay.

About: I have taken care of dogs within my household for 15 years now, with the additional walking & house sitting for neighbors! I recently started pet walking & sitting in Blacksburg this year and have had such a blast! As an incoming vet student this fall, I will bring an expertise and view that will be beneficial for the pet in their environment and for the owners. I am so motivated to support owners with their schedules by sitting or walking! I’m currently working part-time throughout the summer, and have time within the day to complete walks for your pets! I am also available to pet sit in-home for you if needed; preferably not Monday-Wednesday, but I am flexible! I always start off my sessions with building a connection with the pet prior. If possible, I like to meet prior to needing my services to socialize myself with the pet, so that trust can be gained. Once this is done, I love to play with the pets and cuddle them so that they feel secure! I love taking photos of the pets during walks to send to the owners, as this reassures them!

About: I've had a dog all my life except for the brief interlude (1965-1970) while I served in the Marine Corps. Since my kids have grown and left home my dogs are now my babies. I'm retired and have a lot of time on my hands. I'd like to have the option of caring for someones pet now and then to give me something to do. I love dogs and rarely met a dog that doesn't love me right back. My dogs are almost always with me. Excepting - going to the store in the summer when the temperature in the car would be too hot. I make sure my dogs are safe and comfortable.

About: Ever since I was born I had an animal right by my side . I have learned to take care of animals and provide for them. I have taken care of friends, family and neighbors pets in the past. I also have worked at a dog daycare called tail chasers so I have experience with big dog groups. I’m good with cats as well . I’m experienced with walking multiple dogs at a time because I got 3 myself. I’m currently working 3:30 am to 12:00 pm so I will have plenty time to spend with your animals. I’m free on the weekends as well . Willing to come to your place to house sit and take care of your animals. I have done that in the past for people. Willing to also stop by and give water, food and walks with some play time on the side .

About: I've been taking care of pets since I was a teenager, both for and outside of my family. I became a certified veterinarian assistant and have worked at animal clinics for seven years. I am able to do both simple and advanced skills like dog walking, drop-in play visits and administering medications. With having a diabetic dog, I have experience administering insulin and understanding the responsibilities that come with those cases. I currently work full-time at the animal clinic, but have availability during lunch hours during the work week. On Fridays and the weekends I am more flexible. At this time, I am unable to provide services at my home. In the future I will revisit that as a possible added opportunity to care for your pets.

I’m available for overnight stays all days of the week. I take a gentle and patient approach while getting to know your animal. I establish that I am a safe person and through positive reinforcement and consistency develop a trusting relationship. I aim to provide you and your animals peace-of-mind and take steps to follow the routines you have set in place.

About: I have taken care of animals most of my life, and have had anything from dogs and cats, to chickens and ducks, snakes, goats, llamas, etc. I have successfully trained dogs in basic behavioral skills and administered medication of various forms to all my animals. I also have confidence with even the largest of breeds, having owned a cane corso, among others. I have experience leash training as well as acclimating dogs with new animals and curbing unwanted behavior. I work full- time, but can work with you, especially if I can plan ahead by a week or more. I do occasionally leave town, but again, can generally adjust my schedule accordingly. I prefer to allow animals freedom to roam around if possible, but understand animals have different needs. All walks are leashed, no exceptions unless you have a fully fenced and secure yard you prefer your pet to run around.
