About: 20+ years of experience (that makes me feel old). Unofficial dog sitter for family and friends since high school. Loyal to my fellow dog loving friends sharing word of mouth recommendations, fostered a giant breed and helped find his forever home, loved my first dog for nearly 8 years, and now I would like to fill the void by helping care for your four legged family member. I have experience caring for senior dogs and puppies as well. I work fully remote, so I appreciate the screen breaks. I am able to go out for walks or outdoor time often. After losing my dog this summer, I do miss the quality time and walk routines. We joke that you better love dogs, but it is true. My home is setup to be dog friendly, maybe more rugs for traction on the vinyl plank floors. Animals are part of the family and that is how we treat guest pets as well. Living on 3 acres in the country, so a great space for outdoor activities. I am quite respectful when residing in another’s home and great at following instructions and/or preferred routines.

About: I grew up in a home with all kinds of pets, and I am very responsible with pet care (paying attention to safety, dietary needs, etc). I have owned cats, dogs (from Chihuahua to giant Mastiff) and I've even owned a snake. I am my family and friends "go-to pet sitter", when they are away on trips. And pets love me, because I speak their language...which is lots of snuggles and sweet talk! And walks! *PRICING* - Rover adds certain extra fees, which I can adjust only after a booking. And since I have often done sleepovers for friends and family, while they're away on a trip, I am very trusted to pay attention to their pets' feeding schedules, dietary needs, and potty/walking routines. I am a responsible pet owner myself, and I believe strongly in the health and safety of pets, so they will be safe with me AND we'll have a great time together! I'm also pretty good at getting some cute photos for you!

About: I’ve had pets since childhood, but my greatest experience has come from fostering dogs as a family since 2018. Over the past 8 years, we’ve welcomed more than 50 dogs into our home, each with their own personality, history and needs. I’ve cared for puppies, seniors, young adults, breeder-release and puppy-mill dogs, shelter and reservation dogs, and dogs returned to rescue. My experience includes fearful or shut-down dogs, high-energy dogs, separation anxiety, potty and crate training, medications, and medical or post-surgical care. Most of our fosters have been small to medium-sized dogs, with some larger breeds as well. I’ve learned that every dog adjusts differently, and I’m comfortable giving them the time, patience, routine and space they need to feel safe and settle in. Our own 9-year-old Chihuahua, Spotter, was one of our early fosters—we adopted him in 2019! Since then, he’s shared his home our foster dogs. Dogs staying with us aren’t treated like boarders; they become part of our family while they’re here. I work from home most weekdays, so dogs staying with us are rarely alone and naturally become part of my daily routine. They usually hang out with me in my home office, relax on the couch, or find their favorite cozy spot nearby. We have a large, privacy-fenced yard, and I build outdoor time into my day with morning, lunchtime and afternoon breaks, plus plenty of evening yard time. We also enjoy after-dinner walks. About once every five weeks I work in the office. On those days, my husband or son is often home, my husband can come home over lunch for a potty break, and my son is home from school by about 3:00. Because fostering has been part of our family life for years, having another dog in the house already feels like a normal part of our routine—not an interruption to it. Safety and comfort come first in our home. We have a large yard enclosed by a wooden privacy fence, and dogs are supervised outside until I know and trust their habits. Our deck can also be gated off for an additional secure area. Guest dogs live as part of our family rather than being separated into a boarding area. They’re welcome on the couch and furniture and can spend the day with me in my home office. At bedtime, I try to follow each dog’s normal routine as closely as possible—whether that means sleeping in their crate, on a dog bed, or another comfortable spot. Owners should bring their dog’s crate if they normally use one. Because we have a small senior Chihuahua, Spotter, all guest dogs must be dog-friendly and safe around smaller dogs. A meet-and-greet is an option before first-time guest doggy stays if there is concern. My years of fostering have taught me to watch body language, introduce dogs thoughtfully, and recognize when a dog needs extra space, reassurance or a slower adjustment. I’m also comfortable with medications, puppies, dogs still working on house-training, and dogs who may need extra patience settling into a new environment. Most importantly, I want your dog’s stay to feel as much like home as possible. I’ll follow the routines and instructions you provide and keep you connected with regular photo and message updates.
