I inquired of several other boarding providers through Rover, all of whom turned down taking care of our dogs because our dogs do not like cats, or because our dogs are not crate-trained. Marlie responded and accepted our request without hesitation, which rescued our 2 dogs from a long stay in a cramped kennel at the vet's office. Instead, our dogs got to stay in a beautiful home with plenty of room and lots of freedom, yet had the structure they needed, and they were surely made to feel at home. And Marlie does have a cat at her house, and our dogs did sleep in the crates we supplied. No problem! Marlie sent very regular updates and beautiful pics throughout the boarding. She seems very knowledgeable about dogs and has an easygoing energy that gave us great confidence in leaving our dogs with her. I am happy to recommend Marlie without reservation!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats since I was 8 years old and have experience with both in my own home and in clients’ homes. I’ve provided overnight stays as well as daily drop-in visits, making sure pets are fed, exercised, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. I treat every pet like family and focus on keeping them happy, safe, and stress-free. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I plan my schedule around feeding times, walks, playtime, and check-ins to make sure each pet gets consistent care and attention. I’m flexible with mornings, afternoons, evenings, and I make communication with pet parents a priority so they always feel confident their pet is well cared for. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment in both my home and my clients’ homes. I carefully follow each pet’s routine, including feeding instructions, medications if needed, and house rules. I keep a close eye on pets at all times, ensure doors and gates are secure, and remove any potential hazards from their environment. I respect my clients’ homes and keep everything clean and organized, and I provide regular updates with photos so pet parents feel comfortable and informed. About: Since growing up on a farm and having a menagerie of pets my whole life, I've gained tons of valuable experience and knowledge about animals, and a deep love of them as well. I have worked with everything from mice to cows, but mostly dogs and cats. Your furbabies are in great hands with me! I'm currently self-employed, so I have plenty of time for your pets! I'm able to do walks before sun-down, during the week, and on weekends! I'm completely comfortable with crate training methods and would be happy to help out with that, and I have two of my own dogs who could be a playdate for your pups. I have a flexible schedule as I currently do freelance work from home, which allows me to make your pet and their care a high priority. I have a secure and spacious fenced-in yard, two of my own dogs who can keep your pet company, and can crate if that is requested.
