About: Hi, I'm April! I’m new to the Charleston area. Animals have been a central part of my life for years, both professionally and personally. I have extensive experience caring for a wide variety of animals, from household pets to wildlife, and I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry (or scaly) family members. My background includes working as a dog trainer, kennel attendant, wildlife rehabilitation intern, and animal care professional. As a dog trainer, I worked one-on-one with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, helping them learn new skills and overcome behavioral challenges. As a kennel attendant, I provided daily care for dogs, cats, and exotic animals, including feeding, administering medications, exercising pets, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring their health and well-being. I have experience handling everything from energetic puppies to senior pets and dogs with special behavioral or medical needs. Through my work in wildlife rehabilitation, I also gained experience safely handling animals, administering medications, and recognizing signs of illness, stress, or injury. Currently, I am working towards my masters in wildlife biology and research, which has strengthened my attention to detail, responsibility, and commitment to animal welfare. Whether your pet needs a walk, drop-in visit, overnight care, or simply some extra companionship while you're away, I will treat them with the same care and respect that I give my own animals. I know every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I take the time to learn their preferences so they feel comfortable, safe, and happy. I also understand how reassuring updates can be while you're away, so I provide regular photos and communication throughout each visit. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!

About: I’ve never lived without an animal in my life I know the basics and more. I would give your pet so much care and love! I’m going to Eastern Illinois University for biological sciences with a pre-vet pathway. I hope to one day be a veterinarian, but I know wherever I go there I will be working with animals! I’m very passionate about what I do, I take pride in my work. I work part-time and my schedule varies , but only a regular of 4-5 hour shifts so I wouldn’t be away for long! I also am a full time student at EIU but I will always work your pet into my schedule and give them the care and love they deserve! We can always work out what days i’m free I can always stop by if I can’t stay longer! I would make sure the house stays clean and would take care of the pets and that’s all. If asked to sweep or water plants I would also do that!

About: I am a proud mother of a 9yr old son and an 15 yr old daughter.. My daughter is usually at school for most of the day. However, caring for both full time I have come to notice animals stimulate both kids and teach them respect, responsibility and routine. We are excited to em"bark" on this new chapter in life and cant wait to start. Together, I believe all 3 of my family unit would not only love, but sincerely enjoy even the smallest and largest pets while their 'parents' are away or just need some attention. With summer upon us - my schedule (and helping hands) have become more flexible. Currently, I am available every day from 6am to 7pm. Holidays, weekends, and every day that ends in "Y"! With respect to the pet , clients home, and specific care needs, I try to always keep an open mind and heart but keeping respect in the foreground.

About: I love animals of all kinds. I have had cats and dogs my whole life as well as help watch my neighbors pets while they are gone. Let me take great care of your pet while you're away! My schedule varies, sometimes I travel for work but when I am home I work from home so pet sitting is very flexible and easy for me. I can accomodate last minute bookings also. I have a large yard for pets to get excersice and I live in the country. My son is 12, very responsible and love pets, he is my little helper and would not only help take care of your baby but give them extra love!

About: Experience with dog care especially with walking and boarding. I have also worked at a dog daycare center where I was able to know about pet hygiene and cleaning. I am working part time. I can work mostly on evenings and late afternoons during the week and a full schedule for weekends. I can also be flexible with my schedule as needed I make sure to have a clean apartment for the pets. I do not have a yard but we have an open space for pets to roam freely

“Madie was amazing. We had a last minute conflict with our dog sitter and she came to the rescue. It was our first time using someone who was not family watching her. She came to our house on Thanksgiving to do a meet and greet which greatly decreased our hesitation about using someone else to watch our fur baby. About: I love my dog (10years; Hiro) and I will treat yours as my own. From 24/7 all around care and attention: Diet, exercise, interactive play, traveling included, bathing/grooming, and medical care. All injuries are researched and attended too with remedies at home and if required, vet visit. Vet visit only with consent, if required. Contact me as needed, messaging/pictures will be provided. Food, potty needs, bedding/crate is taken care of. Advised: if special needs food/allergy/attention, please bring what your animal needs with them, extra charges will apply (if I have to go to the store, I will have a receipt) Daily. Hiro follows me everywhere. Hiro is my own dog, he’s a golden retriever mix with Great Pyrenees, he’s picky about when he eats his own food. I expect your dog and or cat will be different and have its own personality. As for how your animal fits into my daily will depend on how it goes. Most animals love me, knock on wood. I will keep you posted the whole time. The first time I had Hiro boarded I requested a video. It’s understandable. Your pets are like children. Crate training and potty training provided, if needed. Will need dog paddings. I love my dog and I will love yours as my own, depending on what your dog needs, we can manage and arrange things.
