About: I've grown up with dogs my whole life and currently have two! I have been relied on by friends and family as a petsitter for about four years. I am comfortable and have experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, and needs; one of my dogs is a 110 pound Bernese, and I have petsit multiple times for a senior diabetic dog who required insulin shots. When I was in grad school at Western several years ago, I worked part-time for a local pet-sitting business, The Placid Pet, where I enjoyed four wonderful years of looking after client dogs and cats. As a former college athlete and life-long hiker, I'm in good shape for whatever activity your dog needs. I'm available for short or long walks in your neighborhood or at a nearby park or trail of your choosing, and I'm also happy to stop in and snuggle with your anxious pet for as long as he or she needs. I've taken an animal CPR training course in the past and plan a refresher course in the near future. Your dog's health and well-being is of utmost importance to me, and as a former professional dog walker, I have the skills and experience to keep your pet safe and happy during my visits. As a writer, my time is flexible, so I can be available in the mornings, at lunch, or in the early afternoon on a regular basis. I coach soccer on the weekends, but an occasional Sunday visit might be possible as needed. I am experienced entering client homes to render service, and as someone who has lived with escape-artist pets, I am also accustomed to entering homes carefully to make sure even the wiliest of pets doesn't escape. My car has a dog gate in back so that your pet can travel safely, should you choose for me to take them to a park or trail.

About: Even though I am studying Marine Biology I have a passion for all animals. From dogs and cats to rats and reptiles, even insects and arachnids. When my family got our puppy and COVID gifted us with 4 cats I deep dove into animal body language, boundaries, training, needs, and a variety of other things. I also have some experience with newborn kitten care when they don't have a mom to provide. I have helped with thepittieprojectpnw (which is an amazing nonprofit that focuses on rescuing pit bulls on death row or has come from a bad situation to give them a second chance. So I've dealt with reactive dogs, that are not comfortable around other dogs/humans and are traumatized/healing from an experience. I also have some experience with dogs with health problems. One of my dogs has EPI and the other has diabetes. Just with humans, I believe its crucial to learn about animal's emotional, physical, and health needs. Pets or not. I work part time as a lifeguard, my schedule changes every 3 months or so but otherwise it’s consistent weekly, the longest days I work are 5 hours. I mainly work on weekends but can always coordinate with you if you need someone for the weekend. I find it important to know the boundaries and needs of animals and to know when to back off and just let them be. (within reason). I am careful with what and who pets interact with. I like to slowly introduce myself and let them come to me. I am also very careful about what has been left out/what a pet could get into and ingest.

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was 8 years old and I have had two cats since 2008. Friends have also often asked me to take care of their pets when they are out of town. I am currently working part-time while also working on my PhD dissertation, so I am able to to accommodate a number of possible schedules and visits. I live in a neighborhood with many sidewalks and trails along with there being two parks within just a few minutes walk, all of which make walking a breeze. I also have a number of cat toys and scratchers.

About: I have eight years of working experience in pet retail, supplies, care, and personal pet ownership. Five of those years I worked as a Store Manager and managed multiple independent pet supply businesses. These experiences have gifted me a unique, hands-on, deep dive into the world of pet supplies, pet care, and pet health. I also have personal experience with hospice pets and end of life care. I have years of experience with all types of dogs/cats, pets with specific behavioral needs, and dietary restrictions/requirements. Currently, I am working multiple part-time jobs, however, my schedule changes every week. My calendar is always updated and accurate, but do not hesitate to reach out if you have time slot questions! We have 11 pets living at my personal house and each member of my house takes pet safety very seriously. Each family member has a pet check list to go through before leaving the premiss. Including, but not limited too, door opening/closing protocols, a pet "check-ins" schedule, and a "take a loop" around the house before leaving to ensure all windows and doors are closed. I take these same skills and safety protocols with me to every pet sitting, walking, or check in I have/will ever do.

About: Hi there, I've been sitting for family and friends for a long time now and figured some other furry friends could use some company while their humans are away. Dogs and cats can have very different personalities, and I act accordingly for their needs and temperaments. If we need to go for a 5 mile run, so be it.
