“I had hesitated using Rover in the past simply because I had never left my dogs anywhere but with neighbors and I felt the cost would be prohibitive. I looked at the various profiles and came upon Youjin. We had a meet and greet and I found her to be the nicest person, great personality and very humorous. She has a beautiful home and it's apparent she has a love for the pets she cares for. My two dogs immediately took to her. I went on my cruise feeling secure that my dogs were being well cared for. I would highly recommend Youjin.”

“Chelsea did such a wonderful job taking care of our pups. It was a relief to know they were in such good hands. Her place was perfect for them to get the exercise and attention they needed. If we ever need care for them in the future, Chelsea will be our go to for sure! Highly recommend”

“Derek & Kristina were amazing. They were very warm and just overall nice people. My dog seemed like he had an amazing time there and they were able to accommodate what I needed at the last minute which I greatly appreciated. I will definitely use them many more times.”

“We had such a great experience with this dog kenneling service! Our dogs seemed so happy and well cared for throughout their stay. We were kept updated regularly, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Due to circumstances completely out of our control, we had to add an extra day to their stay, and they were incredibly accommodating and understanding. The pictures we received were absolutely wonderful and really captured each of their personalities. We truly appreciate the care, communication, and flexibility. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a place where their dogs will be loved and well cared for!”

“Tegan was AMAZING! She kept us up to date with messages and pictures the entire time. She was able to administer my cat oral medication and accommodated the need for her cat and our animals to be separated if needed. My fiance and I are already talking about booking her again.”

“Julia was so accommodating with drop off and pick up times. She sent me pics and updates of my pups during their stay. Her place was nice and her dogs are friendly. I would definitely book with her again!”

About: My mission is to give you peace of mind by making sure your animals feel safe and are loved and well cared for. I’ve always had a love for animals and a passion for caring for them. I have been a pet parent for the past 10 years and have been a part-time pet sitter for friends and family during that time. I have changed careers and am now a full-time pet sitter. I also volunteered at two animal shelters for 5 years. I offer personalized care for your pets based on their needs and routines—whether they’re energetic pups who love to play fetch, or more chill kitties who just need a lap to nap on, I’m happy to accommodate. What makes me stand out? I’m patient, attentive, and truly enjoy spending time with animals. I’ll send you regular updates, so you never have to worry, and I’m happy to follow any special instructions to ensure your pet feels right at home. I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy for your pet and I take that responsibility seriously. I am a full-time pet sitter, so I have lots of time to devote to your fur babies. I am available for drop-ins, overnight visits and boarding all throughout the week. I have a fenced in yard with pet turf for your fur babies to run and play. I treat your dogs as if they were my own, providing lots of love and attention. The dogs have free roam of the house including my bed for lots of cuddling.
“We are so happy to have a safe place to take our Lexi while we are out of town. Lexi fell in love with Katelyn and her sweet family. Truly a home away from home. We are thankful we can have a worry free vacation because she is well cared for.”

“Madison was so responsive! I expressed some concerns before drop off with my fur baby and she kept me in the loop every day. Got so many videos and pictures as the weekend went on! Love how much my puppy didn’t want to go home :,)”
About: I have always had dogs growing up of all shapes and sizes. I currently live on a few acres with my husband, our dog, cat, and rabbit. I have had experience with pregnant dogs, litters of puppies, as well as overnight care. I love dogs, and have a very friendly dog myself who loves to play fetch. I am a full time teacher, however on weekends I am normally free to stay at home. I am not able to board during the week, however I am free to do house visits in the afternoon/evening. I have a fenced in yard. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture, but I do normally sit on the floor with my dog. I have multiple rooms to keep the rabbit, and cat seperated if need be,
About: Since I was 13 we have had dogs and animals in our home. I’ve trained them, walked them, fed them, and snuggled with them. I’ve also volunteered at the humane society walking dogs that spent their time there. I am currently doing school in the summer but if you contact me with times I can see if it works with my schedule! :) I currently rent a home and take care of my two pups there. I usually do stop in visits at my clients home and just take care of the animal in the way it is requested!
About: I care for pets like they’re family whether it’s playful puppies, gentle seniors, or anyone in between. From training to meds to extra cuddles, I make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved Because I work from home, I’m able to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. My two kids love animals too, so there’s always extra love and playtime to go around. Walks, feedings, and cuddle breaks easily fit into our daily routine, making sure your pet feels like part of the family while they’re with us. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. In my home, I create a calm, pet-friendly environment where they can relax, play, and feel secure. If I’m caring for pets in your home, I follow your routines closely so everything feels familiar and stress-free. I treat every pet like my own—gentle, attentive, and with lots of love.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Dodd City home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Dodd City.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Dodd City sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
