My name is Joanna and I have been a dog sitter for the past 3 years :) I live in a big apartment between Amager Fælled and Amager Strand so there are great places near by to go for a long walk with a dog. Om: I’ve watched friends and families dogs since 2014 when they go on vacation. Its my goal that the pet never feels neglected and of course you get a lot of photos. Pet care can fit comfortable before or after work. I recently moved here so on the weekends it will help me get out of the house and explore new parts of Copenhagen. I do my utmost to limit what I touch in peoples homes so it feels like nobody was there. If there is an accident from the pet I will let the owner know and clean it to the best of my ability.

Om: A stay with us is a perfect combination between a loving home and a hundepension. During boarding or daycare, your dog will get a 1-to-1 level of care and a good balance between activities to keep them satisfied mentally & physically and lots of rest. Some examples (where it makes sense): play that engages their breed specific instincts, easy agility exercises if they're healthy and up for it, beginner nose work or engagement games, etc. I like to do this during the walking service as well. Since 2023, when I brought home my whippet puppy - Giphy - I became obsessed with dogs and learning everything about their wellbeing. Through our dog training community, I met many like-minded owners and took care of some of their dogs. What initially it started as quid-pro-quo service, I’m now turning into a part-time labor of love. —————————— Skills and qualifications: Raising my puppy also means I have ample experience in dealing with the growth phases and I know how hard it can be on you, the human. If you need a break from them, I can take them on a tiring walk so you can have a breather! It also means, I spent a lot of time teaching my puppy to be neutral and a good canine citizen. I know how to deal with some forms of reactivity because of that. My biggest dream is to one day teach her to be my service dog and have high interest in that topic. At the moment I am taking a course from STSK9 in learning more about how dogs of all breed and ages think & work and how to communicate better with them through proper reward placement and appropriate play. I also have some knowledge about detecting pain in dogs from a course I am taking from Canine Health Hub and am overall very careful with their overall wellbeing. Before reading further, please be aware when booking that your dog will be in a home with another dog! ——————————————————— My own social and well-mannered dog loves companions and would love to welcome yours into our home in Ørestad city area, where we have access to a variety of nature & parks where we regularly go for long fulfilling walks. I am a freelancer, so my lifestyle allows it for me to take time during the day for fulfilling the dogs. If you’re curious what we do, we are very transparent on Instagram @giphythewhippy where you can see current dogs in my care. I tend to max. 3 dogs at a time (2 guests + my resident dog), granted that the chemistry is there between the dogs and we agreed beforehand your dog would feel comfortable in that possible setup. Realistically I can equally care for all 3, but I do have a preference towards crate-trained dogs and/or dogs that know how to switch-off indoors or already know some commands & boundries. I don’t own a car, but I have a bike trailer, a bike basket in the front and a dog backpack, all tested by mine and our friends’ dogs. I mostly move around by public transport though, if we need to leave Ørestad. If your dog requires urgent medical attention, our trusted vet is 6 mins away by car.

I am a self-chosen nomad due to my need to travel and be financially independent (no rent). It has worked well for a few years now, and I will continue for a while. When I am not housesitting, my base is in Hillerød with some family. I have chosen to basically only house sit cats when I house sit. This is because I do not feel I can give a dog the attention that I want to give and that I am comfortable with myself. I have also looked after fish, birds and rabbits and other small pets. Om: Coming from a family where pets sometimes outnumber people, I’ve been raising and looking after cats and dogs since I was 10. Over the years, I’ve gained experience with everything from raising litters of kittens and energetic puppies to caring for senior pets who need extra attention. My dog in Turkey, whom I raised and trained from puppyhood, now lives with my family, alongside two other dogs and an incredibly well-adjusted blind cat. I’ve also cared for him through his epilepsy, so I’m familiar with giving medication and providing calm, attentive care during health episodes. These experiences have taught me to approach every animal with patience and love. I'm happy to administer medication, keep pets engaged with toys and treats, go on long walks, and provide plenty of affection. I’m currently available most days and flexible with timing. I’d love to give your pet the care and attention they need while you’re away. I’m home all days of the week, so your pup never feels alone. I can provide walks and play time as often as every 1-2 hours. Although comfortable for a medium sized dog with frequent walks, my apartment is small and on the 5th floor without an elevator, so please keep that in mind.

Om: Jeg er en norsk/dansk kvinne, som letter etter en buddy som også trenger en å være sammen med på dagtid (eller kveld) jeg har alltid hatt dyr og er vel nesten mer glad for dyr enn mennesker. Jeg ser etter enten en hund å passe og gå tur med ettersom jeg allerede er meget aktiv. Jeg har hatt mest erfaring med katt, og savner virkelig å ha en miss å hygge med og gi belly rubs til. Jeg arbeider deltid med en stylist mest i weekends noen ganger i uken, meste parten er på sosiale medier og annet som gjør jeg er mye hjemme. I tillegg med mye tid til å gi oppmerksomhet til en som trenger det. Jeg skal til tider hente pakker, tøy og andre tasks som en tur glad venn kunne bli med på! Det er ikke alltid jeg skal så derfor kunne en katt også være velkommen som selskap i min lille hyggelige leilighet Jeg er utrolig glad for dyr spesielt hunder og katter. Jeg har en lille leilighet på 50 kvm så men en stor bakgård om en hund ville leke i et mindre område. I leiligheten vil jeg kunne holde øye med hunden eller katten uansett hvor den er så og si, og i bakgården er det ingen andre hunder men mye plass til å løpe og leke. Mens stuen og stor nok til å kunne løpe rundt og leke med en lille katt og en stor sofa og sove på. Jeg bor på første sal så det er ingen fare for høyder :) det er et stille og rolig område tett på 2 parker hvor vi også kan gå og hygge oss! Jeg er alene på dagtid så oppmerksomheten vil være deres :)
