“Carrie recently helped take care of my cat while we were out of town for the weekend. She did a great job! Carrie gave us updates and sent pictures, which I greatly appreciated. She is warm, friendly, and loves animals!”
About: I have taken care of animals for a long time. My friends and family rely on me to feed, walk, give medicine, etc. their pets. I also have experience with caring for horses, fish, birds, reptiles not just dogs and cats. I have taken care of rabbits, mini pigs, guinea pigs as well. I am currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to dedicate to taking care of your pets. I do attend college online, so there are a few hours I am busy. The benefit of me staying at the client's house is that their pet(s) will be more comfortable in a familiar surroundings. The pet(s) won't be stressed out by being in unfamiliar places and around unfamiliar animals.

About: I absolutely love animals and caring for them! I grew up with 2 dogs and now have 2 cats a dog and an African Grey bird. I’ve been dog sitting for years. I take pride in giving pups the best vacation of their little lives🥰 During the summer I have a very open schedule which makes it easy for me to dog sit or dog walk anytime of the day. I do go on vacation a couple times but usually not for very long, I also have a part-time job at the moment which helps for a flexible schedule to help people and their pets! I am very attentive and loving towards my pets and others I have had in my care. I love being outside and playing with dogs, as well as being responsible for their needs and what the pet owner expects of me.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs of all kinds since I was 7 and now I have a pet family of my own. Whether dropping in for a visit or walking your doggo when you can’t be there I just want to make your babies feel loved! I work night shift, so I am available mornings and evenings for drop in visits or walks. I know the importance of exercise and playtime for all babies. I have 4 cats and a golden retriever puppy. So handling chaos is my middle name. I’m happy to feed, have playtime and walk your babies.
“Hanna did a wonderful job taking care of our two cats Chance and Hazel. Hazel being deaf makes communication difficult and they quickly became friends. Chance on the other hand is pretty fearful of new people. Took him a day but by day 2 she had him eating his wet food on the stairs and then the last day he actually came out of hiding to eat at his normal eating spot. I would highly recommend Hanna! We will definitely have her back again.”

“Maya and her husband did a great job looking in on our sensitive little dachshund! The daily updates really helped us feel better about leaving our boy for a few days. Thanks, Maya!”
About: Hi! My name is Ariel, and I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. As a dog owner myself, I understand that pets are family, and I know how important it is to leave them with someone you can trust. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. Whether your pup loves long walks, playing fetch, cuddling on the couch, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I’m happy to provide personalized care based on their needs. I’m currently in nursing school, which has strengthened my attention to detail, patience, and responsibility. I’ll always treat your pet as if they were my own, keeping you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry best friend! As i’m currently in nursing school, my schedule is always fluctuating, but I make it a priority to provide dependable, attentive care for every pet I look after. I keep my Rover calendar updated so you always know my availability. Whether your dog needs a walk, a drop-in visit, or extra playtime and cuddles, I’ll make sure they receive the love, attention, and care they deserve. I also believe communication is key, so you can expect regular updates and plenty of photos, giving you peace of mind while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities! I will take the time to learn each dog’s routine, personality, and any special needs before every visit. I will be sure to provide fresh water, regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and lots of affection while ensuring doors, leashes, and gates are always secure. I’ll treat your home with respect and care for your pet as if they were my own. You can also expect regular updates and photos so you always know how your furry family member is doing.
About: I can sit and board during any holiday! I am new to the site, so that is why I do not have any reviews. I try to respond in less than thirty minutes. In the evening, I usually respond within a few minutes. I walk on a daily basis personally and am used to taking dogs on walks at least a few times a day. I have worked with all different breeds and do my research on breed specifications before taking care of any animal. I have helped taken care of animals that have to receive oral and injections daily. I have taken care of all ages of animals from babies to seniors. I have owned dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, and rabbits. I currently do not own any animals, so that I can focus on your pets. I do usually send updates/pictures during the time your pet is with me, so that you know how they are doing I work as a nurse full time Monday through Friday. I started work usually no earlier than 745 am and am done no later than 5 pm. I have an hour long lunch break. I board on weekends so that I can be with your animal 24/7. I can dog sit throughout the week and dogs will receive a morning and evening walk as well as a lot of love and affection. I can do dog walking in the evening and if you live in the Fairlawn/Montrose area, I can do drop in visits between 12 pm-1 pm. I keep my availability up to date on this calendar as well. I live in a two bedroom apartment, but I live near a dog park I can take them to and can take them out every hour or two during the weekend if the board with me. I would take them on at least one walk minimum whether staying at my apartment or taking care of them at yours. The walks can vary from an half an hour to an hour or more depending on the dog and how your dog is feeling. I always ask their feeding schedule and an dietary restrictions. At my home, I have intellectual toys as well as just typical toys. If allowed, dogs and cats are more than welcome to sleep in bed with me. I allow animals on my furniture and have locks on cabinets to ensure they cannot get anything to harm them. I keep treats and food at my apartment. For walks, I have a hands free leash that goes around waist, so that way there is not a chance that the leash slips out of my hands.

About: I grew up with big and small dogs and I am comfortable with any breed or age. I also have taken care of cats since I was young. I currently own a 13 year old tuxedo cat named Barri. Currently have full summer availability for pet care. Starting August 24th I will begin my fall college schedule at Kent State University and I will be unavailable for booking for 2 weeks. I am comfortable visiting any type of housing to care for your pet, whether it is a quick pee break or a long play date to keep your furry friend company.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Diamond. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
