“Susan was incredibly sweet and accommodating with our pup! He was so well cared for, and it gave us great peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. She has a wonderful, secure yard, and her dogs were friendly and well behaved. I would absolutely recommend booking with Susan and will definitely be using her again in the future!”

“Aimee and Derek are amazing and take such good care of my dog when we are away. I have such peace of mind knowing she is getting love and attention while I travel.”

About: With over 27 years of hands on personal and professional animal care, loving pets isn’t just what I do, it's who I’ve been since getting my very first hamster at 3 years old. From dog and cat companions to farm and exotic animals, my entire life has centered around the comfort, happiness, and well being of almost every type of animal. In California, I spent 6 years managing a horse ranch, followed by 12 years managing a pet store and working closely with local dog and cat rescue organizations. Over the years, I also built a dedicated following of beloved "pup-stomers" through years of professional in home boarding and a private house sitting. After relocating 4 years ago to grow our family, I am thrilled to open my schedule again to offer you the attentive, love and peace of mind they deserve while you are away. Experience with administering medications and special diets including raw food. I am a stay at home mom to 3 children, meaning I am always home and readily available. We spend lots of time playing in our huge fenced in backyard, so your pet will receive constant supervision and companionship. I have plenty of balls, frisbees, and toys ready to go! A daily walk is included (weather permitting, if desired), and I am more than happy to stick to your dog's regular feeding and care routine. I pride myself on being flexible, accommodating, and quick to send photo updates as often as you’d like throughout the day. Your fur baby will be included with our family all day, including daily walks, rather than a traditional boarding facility. Your dog is welcome to sleep on their own full-size bed in the guest room, in a dog bed, on the couch, or even in my room! I am also very experienced with crate training and puppies!
“We had a wonderful experience with Jill! She communicated clearly and consistently, keeping us updated with photos and messages. Most importantly, she took excellent care of our dog, who was happy and well-loved while we were away. We highly recommend her and will definitely book with her again!”

“Katelyn took excellent care of Bella when she cared for her overnight at her house. Bella hasn’t stayed the night many other places and she was able to settle in. I would definitely keep Bella with Katelyn again.”

“Dylan watched my dog at his apartment over a long weekend and it went great! I got photo updates and easily coordinated drop of / pick up with fast response times. Would use Dylan’s dog walking services again.”

“Our dog seemed to enjoy her stay and got lots of love from people and fur friends. . We appreciated the photos and updates while we were gone. We will certainly use Allison for our pet sitting needs again!”

“Debbie and Ryan took excellent care of my dog and treated him like a family member of their own. I felt completely at ease leaving my boy with them. Absolutely recommend!”

“PERFECT MATCH for our Boston Terrier, Akamaru!(Ru)Plenty of room to play and extra special love! Ru enjoyed giving Melissa kisses for her great care of him! Thank you, Melissa! We will be back!❤️🐶❤️”

“Great overall experience would definitely recommend to others. This was our first time we had left our 7 year dog with someone who he was not familiar with and he came home not stressed at all. Thank you”

“Bobbie and her husband were perfect hosts and caregivers for Sadie, our chihuahua corgi mix. She is getting old and and a little grouchy when confronted with large dogs or young energetic dogs. Being at Bobbie's place where she was the only dog and had no competition for human attention and affection was great with Sadie. She was healthy and happy when we returned to pick her up after our 10 day trip. Thanks, Bobbie!”

“Dee took amazing care of my puppy on his first "vacation" from home. I knew he was being loved and taken excellent care of. Dee sent me so many updates and photos which helped this pup-mom's nerves.”

“She and her family took great care of our Daisy! They have a nice home with a fenced yard for playtime. Daisy clearly had the time of her life, and I got at least one picture a day of her antics! Definitely will book again!”

“Teaira (and her family!) were super sweet with my dog and were flexible and accommodating. She was well taken care of and it was so nice to not have to worry while we were away! I would definitely use her again to watch my pup.”

“We are so thankful for Felicia! We are new to the area and were so excited to find a caring and loving dog sitter! Our dog Beau has stayed with Felicia several times now. We know he is safe and being loved on while we are away!! Thank you Felicia for taking such wonderful care of our puppy!!!”

“Oakley always has the best time with Elizabeth & Alexander. They send plenty of check ups with pictures. Oakley is so excited to go back soon.”

“Kimberly is awesome! Marco had a blast and she was very communicative with daily updates and images. I loved seeing pics of him with their other dog, made all of our hearts smile. She also sent us home with a cute paw print and Polaroid of our pup. So sweet. We will definitely use her support again.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Del Monte
This was our first time having Susan watch our two goldendoodles. It went very well, and we were very comfortable while we were away knowing our doggies were in good hands. Great communication prior to, during and after the dog sitting. This went so well, we have already booked our next dog sitting with Susan. THANK YOU

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Del Monte home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Del Monte.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Del Monte sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
