About: Animal lover here, excited to care for your pup! I have experience with many breeds and can't wait to share adventures on our time together! I work 8-5 mainly with a shorter workday Friday. I have weekends off and I am looking to spend some time keeping your animals company. Typically don’t have a long lunch, but can potentially be flexible if needed. Grew up with dogs around me and have plenty experience watching peoples pets. Love following list of needs so they feel most comfortable when they aren’t with their parents!

“Tiara is absolutely fantastic! She is so sweet and cared for our two cats while we were gone for a long vacation. She played with them, gave them attention, and made sure they had plenty of food, water, and a clean litter box. She went above and beyond for us as well, adjusting the A/C when we forgot to leave it on and rolling the trash out for us. She is a very sweet, caring person and if we need a sitter again in the future I hope Tiara is available!!”

“jessica took wonderful care of all of my critters! 2 guinea pigs, 2 fish tanks, indoor house plants, and my outside garden! everyone looked great and happy when I came home, and she even came up with a great new idea/solution for my guinea pigs water situation which i had been struggling with for quite some time. she brought them a new water dish, the house was clean, the garbage was taken out, and she even left me a new roll of paper towels on the kitchen counter. she sent lots of pictures, and even did a couple of extra little things with my flowers to help them grow and keep the rabbits out. she was also more than happy to download whatsapp (free international talk/text/pictures/videos/video chat, 1000% recommend of you're traveling overseas) so that we could still chat and send pictures while I was in another country. I was extremely happy with her and will definitely be using her as my pet sitter from now on. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

About: Long time pet lover. We currently we have one dog: Lily, a seven year old lab mix and a three year old cat. I have a dog grooming business as well so adding that feature to a boarding is a breeze. I have been a certified dog trainer for four years and have enjoyed working with my clients to help their dogs overcome challenges after being adopted from a rescue. I know simple tricks to help your pups unset stomach with a simple easy to digest diet of rice and chicken. Also, can calm anxiety with an ace wrap and a gentle walk. I love getting to know an animal’s personality and working one-on-one training and engaging their minds. Pet care is a daily routine. With three kids and three dogs, they all need ways move their bodies and work their minds. We find fun games that the kids and dogs can be involved in. Like hide and seek. We have a fenced in yard to allow our dogs in and out of. I use leashes when outside of fenced areas to maintain control of what the dogs has access to.

About: Ive been taking care of dogs for a long time. I have a puppy right now that is about two years old named Bauer and he is my best friend. Before Bauer I had two other puppies and I love all dogs. I would love to spend time with your dog take them on walks, drives, feedings, baths, and to the park! I am still in school so I am working part time and when I am avaliable I would love to spend my time with your puppy! I do have a very friendly puppy in my home that loves to meet new puppy friends! I would love to have our puppies become friends and bring them to the dog parks, on walks, drives etc.

“Breck did awesome with our two dogs. It was a very short notice book so we didn’t get to do a meet and greet first but all went well. I loved that she used the app the check in and check out during her drop in visits. She also reported if they went potty, drank water, etc. and posted pics! Will definitely rebook with Breck!”

“Jaedyn was great with my dogs, Charlie and Lily! She was able to let them out while I was out of town for a few days. She sent so many cute pictures of them during her visit, which I loved! I will definitely be using Jaedyn again when I travel for work.”

“Madison was amazing! She met the pups during a meet and greet, they instantly loved her. Her background in pet care really set our minds at ease. She followed all of our instructions to the letter, even picking up on our Staffy’s anxiety around the fireworks and providing her with meds. The pups were so happy and well taken care of when we got home. She was on time for every visit and extremely communicative. She provided wonderful photos of all the love the pups gave her. I would recommend her to anyone looking for pet care!”

“Kaitlyn was absolutely the best! Very pleasant and accommodating, our fur baby took to Kaitlyn immediately which always gives a sense of security and comfort. I would highly recommend her to anyone using this service!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and walked dogs for 3+ years as well as had my own almost my whole life! I love the different personalities and I understand how important it is to have someone who cares for your family member the way you do! Available for 7 days a week- I work a 9 to 5 but available to work around that monday- friday schedule and fully open on weekends. I can care for one additional pet at my home, or I can go to your home / stay at your home! I have my own pet (8 month golden) who gets along with others and is high energy!

About: Hi, I’m Eddie! I’ve been around pets my entire life, and I know they’re not just animals — they’re family. Growing up with four or more pets at a time gave me experience with everything from puppy energy to training to caring for adult and senior pets. I’m comfortable following whatever routines, rules, or care instructions your pet needs to feel safe and happy. Whether that means sticking to their favorite walk, keeping up with playtime, or providing plenty of cuddles, I’ll treat your fur-baby like my own. I’m also experienced with both dogs and cats and can adapt to each pet’s personality, whether they’re playful, shy, or somewhere in between. My goal is to make sure they feel loved, cared for, and completely at ease while you’re away. Thank you for considering me! I look forward to meeting your pets and giving them all the love and attention they deserve. Even with classes starting soon, my schedule is very flexible. I’ll have gaps throughout the day and time after class to provide walks, feedings, and plenty of love to keep your pet happy and cared for. I care for pets in their own home so they can stay comfortable in a familiar environment. I always follow your instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, and any special routines to make sure your pet feels safe and cared for. I treat your home with the same respect I treat your pet — locking doors, keeping things tidy, and giving you peace of mind while you’re away. My focus is on safety, trust, and keeping tails wagging until you get back.

About: I have had a total of four dogs since I was 5 years old and my family currently has two Golden Retrievers back home. I also work at animal hospitals to shadow surgeons and overseeing procedures. I also worked at Petsmart in high school in foster cat and dog unit. I aspire to become a veterinarian while also playing college volleyball! I currently play college volleyball so during the fall my schedule gets a little hectic but my class schedule is relatively light and can usually fit pet care into a weekly routine. I care for pets in the clients home by ensuring they are well fed and also able to relieve themselves. I also love to give them lots of play time!

About: I have lived with animals almost my entire life. These animals consisted of several dogs and cats, a rabbit, guinea pig, chinchilla, hamster, hedgehog, bearded dragon, some fish, a miniature horse, goats, hens and roosters, peafowl, ducks, turkeys, and geese. Oh my! Since August of 2022, I have been house and pet-sitting full-time in nine different states across the US, looking after over 60 homes with a combined total of upwards of 30+ cats and 30+ dogs. Many of these homes also had houseplants and gardens that needed looking after, and I have experience with growing plants from studying horticulture in college (not a single plant has died under my care yet, fingers crossed). I am newer to the Rover platform but can demonstrate my experience to homeowners in interviews and meet-and-greets with pets. During my time pet and house-sitting around the US, I was often told by homeowners that I take excellent photos of their pets (see profile pics). I take pride in the level of care I provide to pets, including the cute photos I take of them. I can hardly take credit, though, as all of the pets I look after happen to be incredibly photogenic. ;) Although I’m no longer traveling full-time, I still like to keep my schedule relatively free to take on pet care because I love what I do. When I’m at a sit, pet care takes full priority of my time and energy and my entire routine revolves around making sure your pets get the care they need. I intentionally choose work that is flexible so that I can prioritize time with your pets. I have always been able to accommodate pets that cannot be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time. More often than not, I am present at the home during the entirety of the sit because the opportunity to watch over your pets is a welcomed and rewarding break from the constant movement and change that comes with the travel lifestyle I once had. More on my scheduling preferences and availability: - I am comfortable with longer stays (my longest sit so far has been longer than a month). - I love pet-sitting in rural areas and enjoy driving out from the city. My one condition is that the road to your home should be accessible by most cars and not require high clearance or four wheel drive. I don’t currently offer services in my home (yet). When I care for pets in their own home, I try to replicate their routine as closely as possible to what they are used to at home when their owners are present. I wake up at the same time homeowners do, feed pets at their usual time, and take them on walks when they would typically go out at home. That being said, because this is what I do for a living, I have so much more extra time to spend with pets. I’m often able to give pets more loving attention and care than they typically receive in a household where homeowners leave for work during the day. I’m extremely conscious of any potential hazards to pets that may be around the home and keep a clean environment. Homeowners always report their home being cleaner after they return than when they left it. Safety is a top priority of mine. Since I began house-sitting as a service to others, I have experienced situations where pet health was thrown into jeopardy and I was tested on my ability to respond calmly and effectively. During my first-ever house-sit for a client, I navigated a wildfire evacuation and prepared the property according to the homeowners’ instructions (no animals were harmed and no damage to the property). In an another house-sit on a rural farm, I encountered a possum attempting to steal one of the chickens from the coop and successfully secured the safety of the farm animals and caught and relocated the possum (no animals were injured). I understand that unexpected scenarios pop up and I’m proud to house-sit for pet owners knowing that they can rely on me and feel safe leaving their pets in my care. I usually send photo and message updates every other day for homeowners to see how their pets are doing, but I have adjusted this to more or less frequently depending on homeowner preference. Once during a sit, in addition to regular photo and text updates, I also accommodated frequent video calls for an owner to allow her to talk to her chihuahua while she was overseas. They both seemed to appreciate that very much. :)

Zachary S.
“I honestly have never seen my dog (Gimli) love someone as much as Zachary. I was nervous to have someone watch my Gimli as he was young and I had never been away from him before but after having Zachary watch him I’ve instantly felt safer being away from my Gimli knowing Zachary has him. As an anxious owner, I wrote a very detailed list of my Gimli’s day to day life and his preferences and Zachary respected everything I said, asked questions, and sent me pictures that made me feel better. Every time my Gimli sees Zachary he instantly lights up and it makes me feel good knowing Gimli won’t be sad and anxious the time I’m gone because he enjoys Zachary so much.”
