“I was worried about leaving my 10wk ofd puppy with anyone for the first time, especially knowing there were other big dogs in the house, when he'd never really met any dogs before. BUT, to my VERY pleasant surprise, it proved to be one of the BEST days my baby ever had, as realized from the video sent to me while he was there. My pup ended up taking over the place; literally running around, jumping on, and over the big dogs who were sweet enough to tolerate his energetic l'il self? 🤐🤣 It was hilarious, and immediately put me at ease! Mr Chang was even kind enough to take him as a last minute booking as I knew no one, but trusted Rover from the past! I can't thank he, and his friend enough for accommodating us, and they deserve more than the 5 stars available! 🥰”
“Lacey is fantastic! She sent pictures and videos throughout the day to keep me updated without even having to ask. My dog always looked so happy in every photo! When I went to pick her up, she didn’t even want to leave! I will definitely use Lacey again in the future! Thank you so much for taking care of my girl and making sure she was taken care of!”

“My puppies enjoyed their stay & even got their nails trimmed! Nancy & Sienna were wonderful. I received updates & pictures while I was gone. I am sure my babies felt right at home.”

“Kallie had a long stay at Camp Ashley and had a wonderful time! Ashley communicates so well, sends lots of photos and treats our girl like family. Thanks Ashley, you're the best!!”

“This was the first time that a private person has watched my fur baby. But I do know that I will never go back to boarding facilities. Janel was definitely the Best! She sent me updated and pictures twice a day and allowed my baby to comfortably walk around to get adjusted to her own for baby. I highly recommend her and will continue to use her as my pet sitter.”

“Very nice couple. Lots of pictures, easy and quick communication, went above and beyond when one of our dogs got sick while we were out of town. Highly recommend!”

“Lindad did a great job taking care of Didi. She sent us pics frequently and Didi had plenty of space to run and rest. When we picked Didi she was super happy. We will definitely leave Didi with Linda next time.”

“Cynthia took my dog, Tequila immediately when my previous sitter canceled on me on the same day I was supposed to drop off my dog. She provided me with updates, videos and photos each day Tequila stayed with them. I am grateful that Tequila was able to stay in a safe place. Their dog, Zero was also friendly with my dog, who normally does not get along with other dogs. I will book with her again.”

“I was grateful to have Eva pick up and return the dogs so we had one less thing to worry about as we prepared for our trip. She was great with the dogs and sent lots of pictures and updates with how they were doing.”

“Sky was awesome with Milo. Very attentive and sent lots of updates during her time with him allowing my family and I to be at ease while being away from our little pup. Will definitely use her again”

“Whitney was great! Super easy to book, no hassle at all. She gave good info and we felt comfortable with her watching our dog. She sent picture updates and we were able to relax on our trip knowing she was well taken care of.”

“My girls loved staying over! I appreciate all the pics and videos I received, and Cecilia always responded anytime I reached out! Thanks for making them feel so loved and welcomed! 🥰”

“Hamlets is so amazing, they love dogs and it shows. I love how she keeps us updated and posts pictures. Your dog will get so spoiled they won’t want to come home. We have used her two times now and have no regrets!!”

“Carrie and her husband took fantastic care of our baby. We felt immediately at ease during the meet and great - and equally as impressed when we dropped him off. Carrie is very knowledgeable and even suggested something for us to try with our pet. They went on plenty of walks and she updated us frequently. We picked up a very happy dog. There was never a doubt in our minds that our little Frodo was being well cared for.”

“Matthew and Morgan are great. They kept me informed the whole time we were away. I know I was probably a pest since it was my first time leaving him with someone other than family. He was in a strange environment and was really worried but they made me feel at ease with photo and real conversation about my baby and his behavior. We will definitely be using them again.”

93% of sitters in Damon can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Damon home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Damon.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
