“Abby really enjoyed her time with Susan and her family and I felt completely comfortable that she was well taken care of. From the pictures and the videos we received it was clear Abby was getting the love and exercise she needs. Susan’s girls were so friendly and showered Abby with love and attention from the initial meet and greet. I would definitely ask Susan to sit for Abby in the future.”

“Frances was amazing! She was incredibly attentive to our pet’s diet and schedule and went above and beyond to follow all of our requests. She sent updates so frequently that it honestly felt like our pet was still with us.”

“From the first few minutes of meeting Alison and Richard, we knew they were loving, caring people who would take great care of our boy. Griffin had an absolute BLAST during his stay! I got updates and pictures every day and felt so at ease. He loves Wrigley and Sunny (the perfect play mates and leaders for him), and so do we! We will continue to ask Alison and Richard to watch Griffin for as long as they let us :) I highly recommend anyone use them if they are looking for a fun, caring, home environment for their dog- and stress free for owners- while they are away.”

“Deborah and Ronald are amazing!! Once again they kept my pups, one had just gotten her second knee surgery and had lots of medication to take and is SUPER picky at eating her meds. They took care of her without a problem! My pups were so excited to see them, as soon as I opened the door of the car, they jumped out and headed straight into their house!”

“This is only the 2nd time we boarded our dog. This time she did not have any issues when we picked her up. I like the opportunity to be able to text and either respond to question from our boarder or us to ask questions. I really felt that Katie cared about our dog. I would definitely use Katie again. Very trustworthy!”

“If you have a dog with needs, or just a dog you love, I would highly recommend Rachel and Donald to you! It was such a blessing to go on vacation and not worry about my pet! My dog is old, blind and deaf, so I do worry when I go on vacation. If I am not near, he gets very anxious. And it is hard for him to navigate a new place. But after our meet and greet, my own anxiety began to leave. Rachel and Donald sent more than one daily update with pictures. For once, I was not in a hurry to get back home! When I picked him up, he acted like he would have been fine to stay longer. I could tell they loved on and cared for my dog as well as I do. I will definitely use Rachel and Donald every time I go out of town. Again, if you have a dog with needs, or just a dog you love, I would highly recommend Rachel and Donald to you.”

“We were a little nervous leaving our Frankie with Ronald for the first time but he was so great with him and we were surprised at how quickly he became comfortable. We loved the daily updates too. A great experience and will definitely book in the future.”

“This was our first visit and the first time my dog has ever been boarded. Kathleen was wonderful—she sent pictures and letting me know that Kenzie was doing fine…which really helped put my mind at ease. She went out of her way to make both me and my Kenzie feel comfortable about being apart. So grateful for the care and thoughtfulness!”

“We left our very anxious dog, Judo, with Sarah and Erik for 2 weeks while we went out of state for our wedding. She can really struggle with new people and men, but she warmed up well (it took a few days but that’s just Judo)! I got many updates, pictures, and videos all showing me that Judo was having a good time. I could not have picked anyone better to watch her. She got along great with their dog, Rosie, who was happy to play or just hang out! I would absolutely have Judo stay with them again.”

“This was the second time Scout stayed with Megan and she had a great time. Megan kept me updated with daily photos and let me know how Scout was doing. I’ve already booked our next stay with Megan and her family.”

“Our 5 month old puppy, Beau, had a wonderful time staying with Brad, running around their spacious home, playing with their pups and toys, and snuggling up on the couch. I especially appreciated their understanding of that Beau’s house training is still a work in progress 🙄. We will joyfully return the next time we leave town!!”

“Amy was amazing with our two babies jax and liala they can be a handful and she was great with them she was very patient . Amy was quick to reply when we would check on them and she sent us pictures of them i know our dogs were well loved and taken care of while we were gone we will definitely have her watch our dogs again in the future”
“It was great having her as my sitter. She really was an awesome great help for me in the spare moment of an emergency care for my dog. I would consider her to everyone pet owner I know. She sent me pictures show how much fun Rocco was having and happy he was. Nicole is amazing. My dog just fell in love with her and wanted to go back. Thanks Nicole. I will be reaching out again soon some time.”

“Excellent boarding experience. Karen has a wonderful and adventurous fenced in back yard for the dogs to sniff and roam and play. Received almost daily a picture or video of my dog on a different adventure. He received the attention he needs and it was overall a wonderful experience.....much, much better than taking him to a kennel that is side by side with other dogs and doesn't have the human interaction that my dog desperately craves and gets at our house. I will definitely use Karen again when the need arises.”

“Jessica was a great fit for my dog! She took her hiking, sent me pictures, and gave her lots of love! Jessica was flexible and great to work with. I recommend her and will use her again if I’m in the area!”

“Thank you so much Ashley. Once again you provided best care for our pita while we are out of town . We keep working with you again and again . Love from our family to you 🤗”

“Nancy was amazing! Our frenchie Roo had a great time and felt right at home. She was great about sending us lots of pictures and updates throughout our trip. We will definitely be back! Roo can’t wait for her next stay!”

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
