About: My house is a great place for dogs to stay in the Brainerd Lakes area, I have plenty of room in the house, and have 13 acres of wooded property for them to enjoy when we go outside! ***Fall 2023 update**** I now have a fenced in backyard to utilize with pups coming over to visit! I have had a dog of my own growing up for 12 years. Currently, though I do not have any dogs. I used to volunteer part-time to train future service puppies for the blind for over 3 years. ( I have worked with 9 or 10 dogs in the Leader Dog for the Blind program) I have a flexible schedule, and I'm always willing to figure out a solid plan with potential people who need a sitter for their awesome furry friends. I am capable of working and looking after dogs with medical needs as well :). I have worked in probation, law enforcement, corrections, and mental health for over 11 years now. I am a very energetic person who enjoys exercising, and enjoy bringing dogs for walks. I have been on Rover for 4 years I enjoy traveling the world in my free time. ***I respond to requests generally within 10 minutes*** I have a pretty flexible schedule so I will do my best to assist with whatever drop off or pick up time you may have :). I now have a fenced in area in my backyard. My driveway is about a 1/4 mile from my house to the road so traffic is not a concern. I can crate if requested.

About: Animals have been a part of my life since I was little, I’ve always been an animal lover. I’ve always wanted to be a vet or own a shelter/boarding place to take in and take care of all animals in need.. it’s never too late! I’m just not there yet. I’ve dealt with so many different breeds, ages, sizes, and energy levels that I understand what is coming! Of course one of the most important things is understanding personalities and boundaries with each dog and because of that I would love to meet and discuss with you what’s best for your dog because nobody understands them better than you! I am working part time because I now have a toddler, so I currently have more time on my hands than I’m used to! I also have plenty of animals of my own who get attention and care all day! When it comes to my home I have a fenced outdoor area attached to a dog shed, I have leads they can run on, I have training collars I can use for more excessive running, I have kennels they can be put in both indoor and outdoor, and I also have an indoor “dog room” for large free roaming. I make sure to accommodate all options in case there are pups who don’t get along, or for dogs who rather be alone. I have swimming pools available for all day swims, shade, and plenty of bones and toys! With the numerous options I have to care for each personality I would love for you to view all my options and let me know what you believe works best for your pup! Now when it comes to visits inside your home, I will treat it with respect! I will be looking around briefly to see if there’s a possibility of an accident and in that case it will be cleaned up ASAP. I also will make sure there is plenty of access to food, water, toys, or whatever it is that desired to be set up for your pup before I leave!

About: Flexible schedule, lots of trails in my area for your puppies to explore, trustworthy, dependable and easily contacted. I’ve had pets of my own in the past that I loved and adored, and currently have a 3 year old eskimo/chihuahua that I adopted from the local shelter who loves to play w other dogs. I work three 12 hour shifts a week, meaning those 4 days off are great opportunities for me to walk your dog(s), stop in and check on them or stay with them. I understand the value of daily exercise and mental stimulation for a dog, so I will ensure they are getting their steps in. I also understand not everyone has the time or ability to ensure their pets receive daily exercise/time outside, and with my flexible schedule I would love to give you some peace of mind that your pet is having all of their needs met.

About: I love all cats and dogs! I have 4 dogs and 5 cats of my own. I have had dogs and cats all of my life and I just like meeting pets and their owners. We do not have a fenced in yard, but we have woods around our house that separate us from our closest neighbors, who live in the Twin Cities area and use the house as a cabin. My pets are my family and I spoil them. Our animals are allowed on the furniture. I have a 12 year old male boxer, a 12 year old female German Shepherd mix, a 4 year old female yellow Lab mix, and a 1 male year old pitbull. All of my animals are fixed. My 5 cats are all male and ages range from 3 to 12 years old. The cats are not declawed. I have 2 teenage boys that love animals as does my husband. We rarely have vistors, and those thatbwe do are family or very close friends. We have a gate to separate our upstairs and downstairs if needed.

About: Rised on a hobby farm so grew up with all sorts of animals. My very own puppy came to me when i was 12 years old and have had a fur baby pretty much since. Have had some training in puppy classes and obedience. Have work with Bark Busters of the Twin Cities. Over the last 6 plus years I have joined a pet service company based out of the Twin Cities who specialize in doggy day care, dog walks, pet sitting for vacation clients in their home and also in our home. Pets come first. Working from home gives us the flexibility to care for your pets 24/7. Plenty of exercise, play time and of course scratches and love time. When pets come into our home we treat them as if they are our own. Currently the big back yard is not fenced in, however that will be changing very soon. In the meantime we will be going on more walks and being outside with your pets on a leash. We have one furbaby, and he is definitely a spoiled baby. If for some reason our pets do not get along, we will have a separation for our pets to keep all safe and yet still make sure that your pet feels like they are at their 2nd home. About: i have dog sat for multiple people and love all dogs/ cats. i have experience with puppies and also older dogs. i would prefer to not have the dog be aggressive if possible. i have also taken care of a couple cats and would feel comfortable doing that also! Right now i am working around 30 hours a week but i work during the day so i’ll be able to let them out and i don’t work full 8 hour shifts so they wouldn’t be home alone too long! Currently, I am nannying three days a week 8 AM to 4 PM, 1 1/2 weeks in June I will be working as a camp nanny 8 AM to 9:30 PM. About: With five years of experience, I've developed a deep understanding of dog care, gained from working at various doggie daycare and boarding facilities. I also provide home visits, walks, and host dogs in my own home. I foster for a rescue, ensuring that my personal fosters and client dogs are kept separate. I live with two cats, one of whom is very dog-friendly, and two female dogs who are more reserved, preferring interactions on their own terms. My male Pitbull, however, is very playful. All my dogs are comfortable crating overnight and when I'm at work. I can only board male dogs, or smaller, submissive female dogs under 30 pounds. I work part time I’m the summer with a varying schedule. During the school year I am a teacher. I am gone from 7:30-4 daily. When dogs visit my home they are leashed in the yard, and will probably keep a drag leash on them while they learn the boundaries of the home. I will crate and rotate if needed to give the dogs time to settle in. I can provide mealtime enrichment in the forms of snuffle mats, frozen meals fillable treat toys, puzzle treats, snuffle games etc. I have boundaries in my home when it comes to behavior and dogs will get breaks in their kennel as needed for cool down time or an overstimulation break. If a dog has structural needs or some behavioral concerns, I am happy to talk about how/if I can accommodate them in my home. We have an abundance of chew toys, stuffies, and balls for dogs to play with but we can also remove them if your dog has some resource guarding tendencies with new dogs. When doing drop ins in a client home I make sure to be non threatening when arriving and giving the dogs lots of space and time to get used to me before expecting to take them out of their crate. I would need a breakdown of the house rules and can hold the boundaries needed. For walks, I don’t want to be tugged around, so I can provide alternate tools to help the dog walk better, including but limited to; head halters, front clip harnesses, slip leads, prong collars(I am trained in how to fit and use them properly). This can all be a discussion before services are scheduled. I also prefer to meet all my clients beforehand to ensure a proper fit for my home. All of my dogs are utd on their Rabies & Distemper/Parvo vaccines as well as spayed and neutered. They receive flea and tick preventatives monthly. Any dog I take into my care will need to be utd on distemper/Parvo and rabies vaccines at a minimum. No UNspayed females. UNneutered males will be a case by case basis. They will also need to be on flea and tick preventatives as well. Preferably oral. Over the counter topicals don’t work well.

About: My grandma ran Duclos Pet Boarding for many years and I helped her run her business. I have a huge love for animals and while going through nursing school, I’ve decided to join Rover for a part-time job! This will be my only job as I am a student at Central Lakes College so my availability will always be open Monday - Sunday! I have two dogs myself a golden retriever and a German Shepherd and I treat those girls as if they are my children! I will do the same to your pets and make sure they are safe and happy while being with me!!

About: I have had dogs my whole life. I currently have 2 rescue dogs, both neutered ages 3 and 4. I have participated in obedience classes. I am also working on getting my dog training certification. I have worked as a kennel assistant for 2 + years. During this time, I have had the pleasure of working with all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I have also administered medications including insulin. I also have 2 cats and my kids have a guinea pig, rabbit, and bearded dragon. I also volunteer/foster dogs for a local rescue. I work part time at the kennel, so availability does vary depending on the week. Daily my pups get fed twice and let out as often as needed. I have a 6ft privacy fenced yard to keep the pups safe. Including a "safety square" to prevent the pups from escaping one of the gates. As far as your home, I will be able to accommodate whatever your safety measures are for your home

About: Hey, I’m Marley! I worked at Animal Care Center in Baxter for about a year, and I have had a few years of experience in pet sitting even before then. I have a 60lb Plott Hound mix named Mo that took a LOT of training (he was a stray down south), but he’s the friendliest dog you’ll ever meet! He gets along perfectly with all the people and pets I’ve introduced him to. I also have an 80lb Great Pyrenees mix from Texas (named Rory!) that just turned one, and he's learning insanely fast how to be a good boy! I have a lot of experience with a lot of different pet personalities, and am willing to take on any sort of challenges you’d present to me! I work part time, but I have a very flexible schedule and am able to work around almost anything that is thrown at me. I am only working part time at the moment, so I have plenty of spare time to spend with your animals, whether it be day or night. I have basic training in crating/kenneling animals, and have plenty of experience in calming down rowdy critters. I know how to de-escalate situations with stressed-out animals as well.

About: I have a young puppy myself and a very flexible schedule that allows me to let my dog and yours out as many times a day as needed. My schedule allows for morning play time, nap time during my shift with frequent breaks outside, and afternoons/evenings to play together. I am still working on training with my puppy and would be happy to work with yours as well! I currently work part-time Monday-Thursday from 10am-3pm remotely. My schedule is very flexible and I am typically spend my morning walking my dog and then afternoons playing outside with my dog. I live on 1.1 acre. My dog is on a remote vibrate collar which is how we trained her. She does not leave the yard. We have plenty of trees that could be used for a tie out and leashed walks. I always supervise my dog while outdoors and your dog would never be left unattended outside. Inside we have a gated off area that I use for my home office that your dog could be closely monitored while I work.
