“Beth has been a godsend for Gracie, my German Shepherd. Beth has been taking her for walks and she is excellent with her. She has a background in dog training and she gently lets the dog know who is boss. She is kind and reliable. Gracie has never been used to having someone outside the family care for her. She has very quickly learned to trust her and enjoys their time together. Two paws up for Beth! ?”

One-legged doggies, deaf dogs, one eyed cats...I love them all. I'm new to the area, and I'm working from home. I will try to replicate your schedule so that your pet does not feel disrupted. Upon intake, we will discuss the schedule that best works for your pet. Let me know if your pet likes car rides, hikes or just hanging out in your yard. My goal is to support your lifestyle and your pet's.

About: I’m a dog trainer with a background in shelter work and years of experience caring for dogs of all kinds — from laid-back family pets to reactive and high-drive working dogs. Dogs are my people, and it shows. Whether your pup needs a structured walk or a friendly face and person to play with while you’re away, you’ll have peace of mind knowing they’re with someone who truly gets dogs. I am willing to walk your dog, or even go on a longer adventure if your dog prefers that!

I volunteered at the local county animal shelter in my hometown and hope to do that here too soon!

My dog is very friendly and has grown up around other dogs of all energy levels. I’m currently working part-time, so my schedule is more flexible to align to you and your pets needs. I’m new to this service so it will be a learning experience at first, but I want to provide a safe and fun experience for your pet! I have a small apartment that your dog is more than welcome to spend the day in with me and my dog. I can also drop by at multiple times during the day, depending on the location. If you prefer to have your dog stay at your house, I won’t be able to spend the entire day there, but will gladly take them on a short/long walk (depending on preference), feed them and refill water.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
