About: From the first moments I could remember, I have always been around and caring for dogs and cats. I'm also a professional equine bodyworker, with medical experience that is easily translated over to our smaller, 4-legged friends. I take a gentle and intuitive approach with animals, focusing on positive reinforcement. I will care for your pets as if they were my own. I have plenty of flexibility in my schedule. If staying at your home, I will never be gone for more than 8 hrs at a time. Weekends are usually no issue to schedule around either While staying at your home, I stick to the routine you have developed with your pets to make it as stress-free as possible. I recognize the importance of structure with dogs and cats, and losing that while their humans are away can be a big stressor. I will do my best to act as an extension of you while you are away to ensure the most personalized care.

About: A little bit about me, I am going on to my second year at MCC and after plan on joining the Air Force! I currently have a part time job at a restaurant but have gotten the unfortunate news that they will be shutting down my store so I am looking to have this as a part time job for now then hopefully transition it into a full time job. I have been taking care of animals since my early teenage years starting off with a close family friend and her 2 poodle mix’s. They would be dropped off at my house around 9:00 am and then get pick up at 6:00pm. I have bathed, cleaned, and even trained some dogs (simple commands). In addition, I have also taken care of multiple furry felines and have had many cats of my own so I am also quite familiar with their needs as well. I am wanting to soon be Pet CPR and First Aid Certified. I have always been interested in pet-care I just didn’t know how to go about it until I found out about rover! I will be putting all my focus on pet-care as my full time job. Since I am just starting out I will only have weekday availability 11-9 and will only offer drop in’s and walk services Monday-Friday and house sitting Tuesday-Thursday. I have been around pets for a long time and feel I am able to pick up on signs if anything might be wrong with your furry friend.

About: I have been pet sitting since I was a teenager. I have experience providing care for older dogs with specific medical needs, and experience training puppies. I work remotely and have a flexible schedule that allows me to spend undivided quality time with your pets. I have found this helps to reduce the separation anxiety that exists when an owner is absent. It’s important that your pet(s) feel as comfortable as possible in your absence. To me, getting to know your pet’s schedule, habits, favorite and least favorite things, allergies or medical conditions, mannerisms, reactivities, etc. can help them feel cared for while you’re away.

About: I have been trained in the pet department for country maxx! I work independent contract gigs full time and I have a very flexible schedule! I am a full-time aid to a young woman who loves animals. I work from 9am-4pm on weekdays, and am completely free on weekends! For day checks and walks, I can bring along the woman I care for as long as I have your permission. I can not offer night services at my apartment, but I will gladly house sit or check on your pups at night! I'm a super flexible person who is always looking for new opportunities!

About: I’ve had dogs of my own since the 6th grade, so I understand the immeasurable impact fur babies have on our lives. For the love they give, dogs deserve only the best care. My approach is patient, gentle, and constant positive reinforcement. I pay close attention to body language to make sure the dogs I care for have more than just their basic needs, but also feel safe, comfortable, and happy. I give extra time and care to the small details and how they add up to create a paw-sitive experience for each individual pup. I’m experienced with training puppies, training hyperactive dogs, caring for senior dogs in their end-of-life stages, and training deaf dogs in ASL with a vibrating collar for recall. I have a dog of my own and I work a remote job with flexible hours. I take regular breaks from the workday to go on long walks with my dog, and we’d be happy to have a friend join! I can also do separate long walks for dogs that are not socialized with other dogs. In my experience, dogs will tell you exactly what they want as long as you’re willing to listen. My dog, for example, is very expressive with her eyes and paw gestures. I take care to make sure all her exercise, playtime, health, grooming, task-assignment, socialization, and snuggle needs are met. Based on what she tells me, the order in which we do things varies from day-to-day. This is the approach I take with my clients dogs.

About: I love animals, and also enjoy taking care of them. I have previously taken care of guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, cats, and dogs. I love their company and enjoy playing with them as well. For now, pet care fits in any part of my schedule since I am on break for a while. I enjoy walking dogs, playing with cats, etc. My home is very clean and spacious. Most of the furniture is simple, so there are no hazards or dangers. I also have a spacious fenced backyard, and I also enjoy walking in the neighborhood.

Your family member is in good hands with me 😊 I work mostly early hours at my full time job, and am available most late afternoons. Pet care is not just work for me, I love animals. Unfortunately the calendar won’t allow me to adjust individual hours during the day.* I live close to trails and parks in Fairfax! No pets allowed in my apartment currently. About: I understand that the worst part of your day is leaving your dog. I absolutely love dogs and will guarantee that your dog will feel safe and happy at home when he/she is with me. I am the one amongst all of my friends that watch their dogs or simply take them out for a hike because they don’t have the time or energy. I have watched dogs from malamutes to Yorkies, and I’m a very active person that loved to exercise my late dog (as of March this year) with hikes to get his energy out! However, if a walk is all he needs or lots of attention at home I am happy to do that. I am a physical therapist and have just completed my canine rehab certification to work with animals and have also recently lost my Aussie of 10 years but not ready to have another, missing my dog interactions! I’m currently working PRN around western NY- I definitely have availability at nights for the long walks they may need and daytime hours are variable according to my work schedule, just ask ! I have availability to a fenced in yard, my apartment would require stairs however. I take frequent walks and can accommodate to your dogs schedule.
