“Nikolaas was an amazing dog sitter to our two pups. Our boys can get anxious without us, but they loved him. He was super communicative, sent lots of updates and pictures, and I felt much more at ease leaving home. We will definitely book him in the future.”
About: Hello! Welcome to my page! I am experienced with caring for everything from mice to horses and 18ft reptiles. Specializing in puppers and equine of all shapes, sizes and personalities. Currently own two shepherds and a chiweenie. I am looking forward to helping keep your furbabies happy while your away. I am currently working from home so that will free up my schedule to assist with your care needs. My schedule is fairly easy to adjust. My personal puppers are spoiled couch potatos and avid toy chasers. If your furbaby prefers cuddles on the couch to an full hour of outdoor play then so be it. Walking, tug o war, Frisbee, tennis balls, you name it and we can make it happen
“Jessica did a great job caring for our pets. She provided an update with pictures daily and was always available to chat. Thank you for taking such great care of our girls!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Robbyn. Jackson immediately connected with her, and he was more relaxed than I’ve ever seen him for a high energy puppy. She kept the place spotless, communicated regularly, and sent plenty of photos so I always knew he was doing well. I’m truly grateful for the care she provided, and I will definitely be booking with her again.”

“Angie house sit for my 14 week old puppy while I was at the conference for 4 days. I was very impressed by how much she was attentive to my puppy, letting me know how he was doing on a regular basis, and even training him a few commands. I came home, finding much better-behaving dog, and her notes about what she observed about my dog and suggestions. My puppy and I definitely look forward to seeing her again!”

“Robert spent a weekend caring for our fur babies. We had a meet and greet prior to his stay and he did a thorough assessment of our animals needs to make sure he provided top notch care. Over the weekend he sent pictures and updates. I knew my fur babies were well-taken care of.”

“Ginny bonded with Z at first sight. Ginny has a wonderful attitude and her communication throughout the process was superb. Ginny was also flexible allowing for a change in our vacation schedule. I highly recommend Ginny and would definitely use her again.”

“Christina took great care of our two dogs and cats while we were traveling. This was our first time using a pet sitter and she helped us be at ease! We got lots of pics and updates which were so welcomed!”

“Emma was amazing with our home and our pups!! At first I told her she didn’t need to sleep here but with bad weather coming she was more than willing to do so. She came beforehand for a meet and greet to get to know our 4 dogs and asked really good questions. She was very responsive, sent pictures of the dogs throughout her stay, and was very respectful of our home. I highly recommend her and will definitely use her again!!”

“Jennifer is amazing! Our dogs loved her and were noticeably calm and content when we got home. She spent so much time with them and really gave them lots of love and attention. They need medications and have a very detailed routine and Jennifer did everything they needed with no issues or concerns. Thank you so much! She is our favorite sitter now! 🙏”

“I am so grateful Elijah was able to care for our dog Louie while my husband and I were out of town for the weekend. He was great at keeping us updated on how things were going, touching base several times a day and sending photos. When we arrived home, Louie seemed calm and relaxed. Our home was left neat and tidy. We look forward to working with Elijah again knowing that we can be at ease leaving Louie in his care.”
“Morgan did a fantastic job while my husband and I had to leave the state to attend a family emergency. We have a 3 year old husky and 2 year old lab both full of energy. She sent us pictures of how the boys were doing as well as letting us know when our husky was getting a lil separation anxiety and not really eating. Our lab was on 2 medications and Morgan made sure our lab was staying on track and when our lab ran out of salami to hide the pills in she had purchased some with her own money to make sure he was okay. 1000% recommend and in the future will definitely look to see if she is available.”

“Jenny was wonderful!!! My two pups normally take a bit to warmup to new people but at the meet and greet they both clearly showed a liking to her. Jenny watched my pups in my home and messaged me several times a day and sent pics to let me know how things were going. This was very comforting for someone like me, with having anxiety with leaving them. My house was as clean as I left it, and I was very grateful that she brought in my packages as they were delivered. I would recommend Jenny, we will definitely be asking her to watch our pups again!!! Thank you so much Jenny, for easing my mind with my sweet babies and taking such great care of them😊!!!”

About: I'm a remote voice actor with a flexible schedule, so your pets get lots of companionship—not just quick drop-ins. As a longtime homeowner and property manager, I also understand the importance of keeping your home clean, secure, and well cared for. I've cared for dogs and cats of all ages, including energetic breeds, senior pets, multi-pet households, and pets with unique routines. I'm comfortable with crate training, positive reinforcement, basic medications, and dogs that need a little extra patience on walks. Whether it's a long hike, a game of fetch, or a quiet afternoon with a cuddly cat, I adapt to each pet's personality and routine. Clear communication is important to me, so you'll receive regular updates and photos while you're away, giving you peace of mind that your pets and home are in great hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work remotely as a voice actor, so I have the flexibility to schedule walks, feeding, playtime, and potty breaks throughout the day rather than trying to fit them around a traditional office schedule. I genuinely enjoy being active, so daily walks, hikes, and outdoor time are something I look forward to. When I'm home, I like providing a calm, consistent environment where pets can stick to their normal routines and get plenty of attention and companionship. Whether it's a quick neighborhood walk, a game of fetch, or simply keeping a cat company while I work, I enjoy making pets feel comfortable and cared for. When caring for pets in a client's home, my goal is to keep their routine as normal as possible. I carefully follow feeding schedules, walking routines, medications (if needed), and any training or household guidelines you provide. I believe pets are happiest when their daily routine stays consistent. Since I work remotely, I'm home much of the day, giving pets plenty of companionship and reducing the amount of time they're left alone. Whether it's long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply keeping a cat company while I work, I adjust my care to each pet's personality and needs. I also treat every home with the same respect I would my own—keeping it clean, secure, and well cared for. You'll receive regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pets and home are in good hands.
“Lauren was great. Super friendly and could tell she truely cared about taking care of our dog and 2 cats. She sent pictures and updates and asked questions to make sure she was doing everything right. She was accommodating with a more last minute booking to house sit for a weekend. Would definitely reccomend Lauren!”

“Paige watched my 3 dogs for a weekend while we were out of town and they loved her! She stayed with them almost the whole time which we loved. She kept me updated, sent pictures and made sure they were happy and fed. She left the house in great shape and even stripped the guest bed. I would recommend her and well be using her again! Thank you!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Courtland walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Courtland maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Courtland choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
