About: Hi! I’m Charlie and I’d be honored to help you with your pet needs. I have fostered 17 dogs, mostly seniors, from mid-size to xl and a whole range of breeds, temperaments and quirks! I understand that each dog has their own unique personality and have become adept at reading dog body language and helping them feel safe and comfortable with me. I have had my beautiful fur buddy (pictured) for 12 glorious years, together we have gone through puppy socialization classes and dog obedience training, (not to mention a transatlantic flight, 3 house moves & 5 deployments). He is a 12yo German shepherd, who has taught me how to be a kind, patient leader and how to work with headstrong, intelligent dogs. In 2022 the universe decided we needed another dog and we ended up with Blitz, a Siberian husky that has had a very hard life, after the family we were fostering him for decided they didn’t want him back and we couldn’t find anyone in the market for a “husky with issues”. Growing up with 2 dogs and 3 cats I am most happy when I can share space with animals. I have previous experience with dog walking and house visits for cats. I would love to meet, become friends with and help out with your fur-friend and will take care of them with diligence, love and joy. I look forward to meeting your family! I am available for dog walking and house calls weekdays, between 9.30-3. Weekends and evening walks and house visits can be arranged on an individual basis. We live on 8 wooded acres, perfect for exercise and olfactory stimulation for your pup. I have two senior pups that are used to sharing their space with other dogs and two respectful children that love dogs whilst also being great at respecting their boundaries (they have experienced all manner of foster dogs with their varied personalities and needs). I can accommodate crating if necessary but as I am home most of the day it is unlikely they will be crated unless you specifically request it. I don’t have a fenced yard, so if your dog is an escape artist then our space may not be best for them, but for most dogs this just means fun stimulating walks, instead of yard time. We do plan to add a fenced area in the future.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have been the primary caregiver for my pups the past 23 years. From house training and socialization to managing energy levels and building trust, I understand what it takes to give pets a loving and structured environment. More than anything, I genuinely love animals and treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m calm, attentive, and always focused on keeping pets safe, happy, and comfortable! I currently work a 9–5 job, so I’m available for evening drop-ins and walks during the week. Open on most weekends! That said, I just had a newborn and will be home all summer, which gives me a flexible daytime schedule for caring for pets and making sure pups get the time and attention they need. I truly love being around animals and enjoy spending my spare time with them—whether it’s a quick walk, a snuggle session, or simply making sure they feel safe and loved while you’re away. Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. Whether you have a small pup or a big dog, I’m happy to take them on walks—or if you prefer, we can stay in the yard or play indoors. I’ll follow your preferences to make sure your pet feels secure and cared for. If your pet just needs some company and a buddy for a while, I’m here for that too. During my visits, your pet will be treated like part of the family—loved, respected, and given the attention they deserve in a calm, safe environment.

“Vanessa was great! She sends lots of pictures and updates during her visits. My cats loved hanging out with her. Highly recommend working with Vanessa!”

About: I have several years of personal and professional pet care, but a lifetime of love for animals! I take humble pride in being the stranger that your critter who "never comes out to see anyone" is suddenly on my lap. I've cared for critters of all kinds, sizes and temperaments. Have any questions, shoot me a message! Looking forward to meeting you and your fuzzy or scaly loved ones. I am seeking to make this a 25-35 hrs/week gig with multiple clients. My availability is very flexible and open at this given time (June 2025). I commute between an apartment in downtown Hagerstown and St Mary's County (Wildewood) and care for my family's German shepherd (Freya) and teddy bear (Odin) about 1-2 days a month in W.V. Those dates are preplanned. I'm an early bird, up around 4:30-6 AM. I have a low maintenance mainecoon so she grazes all day and has plenty to do till I come home for my own kitty snuggles. I can only care for your pets on their turf or if you allow it, to take them to public parks. Both of my residences do not allow additional boarding. I personally wouldn't mind, but, rules are rule. I'm very adaptable and would love to keep any routine you have with your pets. From nicknames, babytalk, several walks a day, a bath etc... Write down your desired routine for Fido/Whiskers and I'll do my best to keep them entertained and comfortable until you're back home.

About: I have owned cats and been around dogs all my life. I have also dog sat for several friends and family members. I couldn’t imagine my life without pets! I am finally getting back to caregiving for the elderly after breaking my ankle last year. I love animals dearly and helping people as well! I am looking to help people care for their animals to help with income and animals make me happy :) I have a fairly nice fenced in yard and lots of experience with all different breeds of dogs. I’m able to accommodate to your pets needs

“Sam did an awesome job watching our kitties while we were away on vacation. He sent us updates and cute pics of them while we were away which was above and beyond. I definitely recommend him! Thanks so much!”

“Melissa did great with our 2 cats! She sent us pictures with every visit and gave us peace of mind that our cats were well taken care of while we were on vacation. Would definitely recommend Melissa to take care of your furry family!”

About: I’ve grown up with animals my whole life. My mom breeds old English puppies, with that I get a lot of hand on experience with puppies. That means training them, taking care of them etc. I will treat your pet as if they are my own and make sure you and your pet are satisfied. I’m currently working part-time but with my excellent time management skills, I will be able to care for your pets and mine as well weekly. If I’m staying at a clients house I am very mindful and respectful of their home. I make sure to clean up after my self and make sure to get the animals outside as much as I can. When I just have to walk them I make sure to keep them on a leash and be aware of the surroundings

About: I’ve had a lifelong love for animals and years of experience caring for a wide variety of pets—including dogs, cats, fish, snakes, pigs, and even chickens! Currently, I share my home with three beloved cats—Captain, Haven, and Slasher—and one sweet pup, Lucy, who keeps life fun and full of love. In addition to caring for my own fur babies, I regularly house-sit and pet-sit for friends and family. I'm currently unemployed due to medical reasons, which gives me a flexible schedule to accommodate potty breaks, playtime, feeding routines, and check-ins—even if I’m not staying overnight. I like to start with a meet and greet to get to know you and your pets. During that time, I ask clients to walk me through their routine and expectations, and I encourage leaving a detailed care list I can refer back to as needed. My goal is to keep things as smooth, stress-free, and loving as possible—for both you and your pets. I'd love the opportunity to care for your fur babies with the same attention and affection I give my own. Let's chat about how I can help! Pet care is already a big part of my daily life with my own cats and dog. I plan my day around feeding, potty breaks, and playtime, so adding in care for other pets fits naturally into my routine. My flexible schedule allows me to easily accommodate visits, walks, or overnight stays based on your pet’s needs. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I follow any specific routines or instructions provided and make sure pets are in a secure, clean, and stress-free environment. I take the time to build trust with each pet, move at their pace, and keep their daily routines as consistent as possible. I also encourage clients to leave detailed care notes to ensure nothing is missed.

“Carly is so amazing, flexible, and is great at communicating with us while we are away. We had a sudden death in the family requiring us to go out of town and needed to book quickly and she was able to help us out without hesitation. Even though our cats are typically skiddish, our one feels so comfortable with Carly that he now comes out and interacts with her during visits. Also, our trash can lid flew away and she found it and kept it safe. She is super helpful and always willing to help our fur babies!”
