“My two dogs loved their drop in visits from Kinsley so much! She did great with them and was very good at communicating with me. We would definitely book her again in the future”

“Mak was amazing with our cat, Benji. She was very responsive and communicative from the start, which really helped ease our stress during the holidays. Benji is very shy, but by the end he was getting close to her—a great sign. We’re very happy to have found someone as attentive and responsible as Mak and will definitely reach out to her again. Thank you a lot!!”

“She was incredible! We had never used Rover but we were so thankful Jade could watch Willie for us when we were gone. If you want someone who is responsible and does a great job Jade is your person.”

“I highly recommend Kathleen M.! We used her for home visits over a weekend out of town. She came by for each visit as scheduled, spent quality/focus time with our puppies, and communicated exceptionally well with us as required. We enjoyed meeting her a few days before the scheduled visits which was very comforting before we left. She takes this work very seriously and has a great love for puppies. We will use her services again.”

I also have experience caring for geriatric pets and animals that need medication, so I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and close attention to detail. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, feeding, basic reinforcement of good habits, or extra care, I focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you are away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I am already used to being responsible, organized, and consistent with my time. I make sure pets receive dependable care, attention, walks, feeding, medication if needed, and companionship without feeling rushed. I understand that animals do best with routine, so I work hard to follow each owner’s instructions and keep their pet’s schedule as normal and comfortable as possible. I focus on keeping their routine as normal, safe, and comfortable as possible. I follow the owner’s instructions closely for feeding, walks, medication, potty breaks, crate use, playtime, and any special care needs. I make sure pets have a clean, calm environment, fresh water, regular attention, and plenty of patience. About: With over 20 years of pet care experience, I treat every animal like my own. As a teacher, I’m patient, attentive, and naturally nurturing—and animals tend to warm up to me quickly. About: I am home most days of the week, and will gladly be flexible to any schedule you have! I enjoy caring for all types of animals as my family has had a wide range of pets my entire life, such as dogs, cats, squirrels, birds, and many other interesting fur babies. In my pet care experience, I have been an owner of a dachshund that had an arthritic spine and I had to take special note of what could aggravate her condition, so I had to work with her and her needs. I also had a dog with a history of seizures, and had to monitor him closely for his medication needs as well as watch for triggers in his surroundings. My entire family loves animals and we have been pet owners my entire life. I am home with my dogs most days and try to find fun activities to keep them entertained, and I’d be more than happy to do the same for your babies! I have a large fenced backyard and two friendly pups that can keep your fur baby company. I can always separate them if needed, though, should any of them show signs of stress or aggravation.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Cottondale
This is the second time Kinsley has watched our cats for us. We are very happy with everything she does and our kitties are very well-cared for! Care included feeding/water, litter cleaning, and some love/attention. She is very responsive and kept us abreast of everything, including each visit, when some decor fell off a mirror (probably cats), when there was vomit (and cleaned it up), and even noticed our cat's over-grown dew claws and trimmed them! She also took in the mail and a few packages, as well as ran the garbage can out for pick up and back. It was comforting to know everything was fine at home while we were gone. We will definitely ask her again in the future!
We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! She was incredibly accommodating with our unique situation involving Penny and took the time to follow all of our care instructions exactly. She was also so patient and understanding with our shy cat, Lucy, and made sure all three of our cats were well cared for while we were away. We came home to happy, well-loved kitties and had complete peace of mind knowing they were in such great hands. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cottondale. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
