About: I love dogs and have enjoyed working with them in many capacities since I was a child and formally for over 15 years. I am a Canine Good Citizen evaluator and have spent years training loving companions. I am certified in Canine CPR and First Aid by the American Red Cross and undergo annual recertifications to stay current on the latest first-aid procedures. I also have experience administering both oral medications and injections. Before your pups stay, we have each family fill out a form for their furry companion. This helps us get to know them better in order to make their stay easier. I have no breed preference and are familiar with handling working canines. Your pup is welcome in our home, and our couch is open to your furry pooch. However, I also understand there are dogs who prefer to be outside and are not easily accommodated indoors. I also have covered outdoor runs for those families who still need a vacation but whose pups enjoy more fresh air and natural surroundings. I am happy to accommodate each family's preference. No matter what, canines are treated to lots of exercise and playtime. I wake up and start the day off with morning let out. After each group has been let we come back in for feeding. Morning feedings normally allow for 30-45 minutes before letting out again for a potty break. They are brought back in, crated, and pups are rotated out for play inside throughout the day. I let out every 2-4 hours through the day or more if needed. I do have the option to add on trail walks for those who have social canines who are good with other dogs and people (I will not be introducing them to others but it is a requirement to the trail). In the evening we normally do the last feeding at 7 pm followed by yard play and starting to settle in. Last potty break is at 10 pm. Note: Although I am at home full time I do on occasion leave our home to run errands. Your dog can be left alone for up to 4 hours (max). If this is ever the case your pup will always be crated and secure. For your pup's safety They are never given free rein while unsupervised. I take the safety of your furry companion very seriously. Canines are let out for potty breaks every 2-4 hours (or as needed, if required more frequently). I have a fenced-in yard so your pup will be safe during potty breaks. I do not allow companions from other families to play with each other. This is a safety measure. Your pup can be under a lot of stress when you're gone and I want to make their stay as smooth and relaxing as possible. This doesn't mean I will not be playing with your pup ourselves! I love playing fetch, puzzle games, and even tug with them. I do allow for several outings in the house throughout the day so they can get plenty of one-on-one attention inside as well as extra pets. I have 5 acres that are attached to the national preserve. If your furry companion is social and enjoys walks, I have several trails I am happy to take them on upon request (weather permitting). All outings are on leash only.

About: I've taken care of pets since I was 13. Most of my experience is with cats and dogs. I have limited experience with snakes. I'm not afraid of spiders or bugs. I'm currently working full-time as a legal assistant, so I'm usually only available during the evenings and weekends. I'm usually home from work at around 6 pm and am available until 9 pm during the week. Fridays and Saturdays are generally open unless I have prior obligations. I don't work on Sundays. I can only pet sit at a clients home due to having 2 cats of my own. I go by whatever rules/guidelines they specifically have for me.

“This is the second week Megan has walked my dogs and she has continued to go above and beyond to take care of them. I trust they are being taken care of while I’m at work. She makes sure they have enough water and are always cooled down after their walks. I highly recommend her!”

About: Never feel guilty again for leaving your pup home, while you’re at work bringing home the bacon! Rest easy on your vacation, long day (or night!) at work, or whatever the case may be: I’m always here for you. I absolutely love dogs and animals. I've had dogs all my life; I am very comfortable with all the different breeds of dogs. Throughout my childhood, I usually had anywhere between 2 to 3 dogs at any given time; at this point in my life I have two pets of my own. My oldest dog is a 5 pound Yorkshire Terriers named Denim age 10+. My second dog is a 10 pound Maltese Poodle named Windsor age 3+. I have a lot of help and support from my boyfriend Michael when it comes to taking care of our pups, so expect a dynamic duo when it comes to your pets. I am currently enrolled in college and I am actively working on finishing my second Associates’ degree in Interior Design, graduation date Spring 2020. From there I plan on finishing my Bachelors in Fine Arts in Interior Architecture expected graduation date 2022. I am a very active person I go on long walks, hikes, jogs, and runs so your dog will be perfect company for me. We can go on leashed walks throughout Lake Thom-A-Lex Park or throughout my residential neighborhood. When staying at my house your dog will get plenty of tender, love, and care. They will have oodles of attention and fun. My goal is to tire them out so when it’s time to go home to you their ready for bed. I work from home so I will provide 24-hour supervision to your dog. I appreciate active communication and will provide regular updates and feedback on your pet. I welcome the same. I am a very responsible person, who is very reliable and understanding, I will accommodate the specific needs of both you and your dog. Laci H.
“Laci has always gone above and beyond when taking care of our pets. She has been our go-to pet sitter ever since we got our golden doodle, Ollie, two years ago. We recently returned from a two week vacation to a spotless home and our happy and healthy Ollie, as well as our new addition, Lilly, a cavapoo! We had not met her before the house/ pet sitting gig and we can truly say she loved our animals so well. Decent and kind is what we were told by friends and she exceeded those expectations. She communicated by sending pictures of Ollie and Lilly lazing around or on an adventure so that we knew that they were happy and in good hands. It made missing them while away a bit easier. In addition, she asked thoughtful questions about the house before we left on our trip which we found very professional. We would not hesitate to recommend her to friends and have her pet sit again.”

Jennifer C.

“Jennifer arrived on time, walked my dog, and gave him a treat.”
