“If I could leave 100 stars for Tara, I certainly would! She was that great. This was my first booking with Rover and boy did I win. I met Tara for a meet and greet, and instantly knew she was a person I could trust with my home and animals. She is very intelligent, sweet as can be, observant, very much in tune with animals, trustworthy, honest, impeccable communication, follows directions extremely well, and handles unexpected situations perfectly. Tara stayed for 5 days while I flew out of state and she made my trip so much less stressful. I never wondered how my critters were doing. I never once worried about them. I never once had to ask how things were going. She followed my directions perfectly, communicating always. She sent pictures and videos of my critters which warmed my heart to no end. She even bought my cat a new toy!!! My dog gets so fixated when he plays ball that nothing else exists, including big objects that he runs into lol. Sweet boy ran into the well pump house and did a little yip. Tara checked him over, and texted me letting me know what happened, no cuts, no bumps, but she will keep an eye on him and recheck in two hours. Sure enough, without me even asking, she rechecked him, telling me no bumps, no swelling, no cuts, and he’s not acting weird. I was never concerned one bit because Tara was so thorough, knowledge, and comforting on every level. Additionally, one of the cows on my property delivered her baby unexpectedly and Tara just knew what to do with this situation. When I got home, my neighbor, the owner of the cows, made a special trip over to let me know how wonderful Tara was and how much he appreciated her being there while I was gone. He couldn’t say enough positive things about her. He was just so happy. Tara if you see this, thank you again and again. “Erica was incredible! Taking on 3 St. Bernard’s is not easy due to size alone. She had no hesitation! They got to go out multiple times a day, on walks, cuddled on the couch. Everything! We had her stay at our house for the 5 days and it was such peace of mind. Our dogs loved her! She kept in regular contact and sent photos. We cannot wait to book her again soon!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for years! Friends and Family know they can rely on me to take care of their babies when they need!! I recently graduated from the University of Kentucky and am currently saving up to move to the big city and find a job using my fashion degree! I have plenty of free time to take care of your pets! I will follow all directions left by owner while having their pet in my care! I will take on walks, play with, cuddle and feed your babies!

About: I have always had a dog growing up. I learned how to cut their nails, play, groom, and administer medication. Anything you can think of, taking care of a dog, I have done. I'm in school to become a veterinarian because of how much I love caring for them. I have no experience taking care of a cat, but I would love to. My mom is allergic, so I never had a cat. I have, however, been around them because of friends and know how to take care of them. I take care of my dog every hour of the day. I also have a snake that I take care of regularly. My days and weeks are full of pet care. I care for animals with love and gentle hands. Animal health is very important to me, and I strive to give them the love and attention they deserve. I'm good at keeping up routines, so whatever routine the animal is on, I can keep it up.

About: I've had pets since I was very young. I started taking care of friends pets and my own since I was 15. I currently have 4 dogs, 2 rats, a ball python, and have had cats in the past. I currently work full time but am able to care for your pets in the afternoon and on Fridays and Saturdays. I can also take time off to care for your fur babies if given ample time to ask off or find coverage for my job. I currently cannot do anything in the home I live in as it's not mine and there are too many animals living here, however I am able to care for your pets in your home as I would my own. I respect boundaries from pet parents and will always do things within the rules and boundaries told to me when caring for your fur babies.

About: I will tell you a bit about me and I need to know about your dog as well. Before contacting me about caring for your dog, make sure their profile(s) is completed here on Rover. Upload a picture and submit as much info as you can provide. It helps me determine if your dog is a good fit for what I can provide. About me: Raised in the country surrounded by both family pets and farm animals, caring for critters is second nature to me. I am a doting grandma who lives too far away from my kids to see my grandchildren so I channel that attention toward my Australian Shepherd, Gumbo, and my new puppy, Boo, the Yorki-Poo. After I lost my husband and best friend I found the best way to cope is to help others and keep busy. If I can help you out with your dog or cat while you're away, let me know. I can use the extra income but also I need to feel useful. I keep my fee low. Tips are appreciated. I board at my home in the country near Dukedom, TN. Think of boarding here as bringing your dog to Grandma's house. There will be some spoiling and if pet parents permit, homemade dog cookies! Currently I am home all the time. Your dog will be with me and my dog while here. Gumbo (30 pound neutered male) likes to play fetch or frisbee and we do this daily. I feed my dog early morning (6-7) and early evening (6-7). I give a lot of outside time when weather allows. I give my dog a lot of attention and your dog(s) will get the same. We are a pack and your dog will be part of that pack when he/she stays with us. I live on 6 acres near Dukedom, TN. My large backyard has a chain link fence. If your dog likes to play ball or frisbee this is a great yard to do it in. In addition to the backyard, I have a large field that I keep a path mowed around just for walks but to go there your dog(s) must have excellent recall or be leashed trained very well. I don't want to be pulled around or have to struggle to hold them. Dogs really like going to the field. "No" is the word I use to stop misbehavior. If there is a different word you use, let me know. It is good to know what words/phrases your dog recognizes. It'd be great if you write those down and give it to me. I have carpet throughout my living quarters so PLEASE only housebroken dogs. I give numerous long outdoor time between 5 AM to 9 PM. Potty breaks are every couple of hours. Your pet must be vaccinated! Bordatella vacs are recommended every six-to-twelve months. if your dog frequents places with other dogs, get 6 month vaccine. My dogs are vaccinated. In the warmer months, it is very important that dogs have a flea and tick preventative or have some defense against these nasty bugs because both are out here. I keep grass mowed but they still get on the dogs so make sure they have a preventative. My dogs wear clothing treated with Sawyer flea/tick spray and I have had great success with that method along with a monthly prescribed medicine. Bring your pet's food/bowls/treats along with feeding instructions. Filling out pet profile in depth on Rover helps tremendously! It has an area for vet info and anything I would need to know about your dog can be on their profile! Gumbo has dog toys that he shares but if your dog has a fave, bring it. If your dog must sleep in a bed or crate, bring it. Sometimes a sweater or anything with your scent on it comforts a dog that misses his/her owner. You're welcome to bring that. If he/she has a brush that you want me to use, bring it. I can brush dogs but have no proper facility to bathe. In the summer, I have a small dog pool to cool off in and plenty of shade in the backyard. NO cell service out here so I do not carry my phone with me. I check my messages several times thru the day but I'm not like most that have their phone on them. It does me no good. Many rural people pay for cell service despite not getting it at their homes. I have a landline that works providing my internet service works. If there is anything else you need to know, do not hesitate to ask. I have my profile set to only take in three dogs at a time. I have two so I think five is enough. I am very attentive so rest assured I am keeping a good eye on them.

About: I’ve taken care of animals my whole life, grew up on a farm. Also my sisters go to for watching her 6 dogs at her home while she vacations! I am a student at Murray State University but only have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I am pretty much always free and am very flexible!!! I follow routine depending on the pet parent!! Love to play outside with them or cuddle up on a couch if that’s what your fur baby prefers!!

She walked them alot, stayed with them, kept the place clean, and had no problem doing a couple things to keep my trailer pipes from freezing, leaving water dripping and keeping heater near pipes running till it warmed up. She sent videos and pictures of the dogs to lete know they were doing good..she's very trustworthy and caring with the animals. I would definitely have her back in the future.”
