About: I have taken care of dogs, cats, pigs, horses, and goats my whole life growing up. I also worked in a doggie daycare for a little over a year before I moved to go to college. I have had neighbors and friends to often leave their babies with me, or go to their house for a bit and watch over their babies to spend quality time with them. While working at the doggie daycare I learned many skills and these are paying attention to detail, understanding body language, teaching basic obedience, and just having the ability to understand and observe a dogs behavior. I’ve also worked with over 20 dogs at once by myself, with one cat :) My bosses from the daycare left for vacations even, and I would get left a key to their house to take care of their 7 cats and chickens. I’m very determined to have patience with each and every animal I encounter with. Lastly, I have worked closely by a groomer who has taught me how to brush long hair on dogs, trim nails, cleansing ears, how to clean wounds, and give oral medication to dogs who needed them. I fixed 20+ dog meals each night once closing up for boarding as well, making sure each of them are in their correct crates as well as tucked in and snuggled with their babies, telling each of them goodnight. I have the biggest heart for animals, so I go to the shelter each week and help with them there also! I’m currently working part time, therefore; I will have plenty of time to take care of your pups/cats! I am available any day of the week, with times starting at 8 A.M. - 10:00 P.M. I normally work 1-2 times a week for MSU, depending on our work load, and sometimes we don’t work any during the week at all. Considering that, I am available throughout the week everyday most of the time! I currently live in an apartment complex that has a fenced in dog park that I take my two pups too. When I lived at home we had a huge fenced in back yard that my pups and others pups I have watched use and play around at. Considering that, my service dog Arrow, which is a Doberman is extremely playful and very energetic so as of right now I use the dog park at my apartment. My house is my pups (children's) home, we are all on a routine with going out, being fed, and simply just living life together. The environment is fully truth worthy and safe by all means, and I welcome all of any kind. I also have a crate with comfortable bedding, that is away from all walk ways in the house to keep the pup in a cozy environment. Overall, my set up is very essential and well-rounded for any and all pups/cats!

My husband and myself have been unable to walk our dogs due to recent surgeries. Jonatan was great to come and help us walk our sweet dog for a week. I would use him again.

About: Currently a college nursing student I have had cats, dogs (ranging 10-70lbs), and both small to large sized parrots. I absolutely adore my fur/feathered babies and want to combine that passion as an enjoyable part time job! See “what to expect” for more info on specific care for my personal pets ! I am currently a full time college student so during weekdays pet care would be 3pm forward (some weekdays may be 12pm due to earlier classes). Weekends I am 90% available for any time of day/night. For my dogs (yorkie/small terrier mix ~20lbs) I have a fenced yard and they receive prescription dog food 2x day, with usually morning car rides and daily play. For my cats they receive morning play and exercise wheel time and morning kibble. At night they receive wet canned food and use a water fountain. Once a week they will get a car ride and a walk on harness or in stroller weather permitting. I also have 2 small and 2 large parrots they have toys and get daily engagement with pets, music, toys, etc. I also have experience in care for ducks/geese. I do not have other farm animal experience but would be willing to do a feeding drop in according to owners wishes providing this is a rural area!!

About: I have been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old. I know a lot about enriching and fulfilling lots of different breeds needs! I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time to help take care of pets that need it. I am free weekday mornings mostly and sometimes even the weekend! I follow any rules you give me about caring for your pet because I would expect the same for my four dogs! I also love bonding with new dogs!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
