“Sandy is wonderful! She is kind, calm, compassionate and is pet-centered in her care, prioritizing the needs of the pets in the absence of their owners. She is sensitive to pet personalities and special needs, while adhering to their normal routines as much as possible. We appreciate the time Sandy spent getting to know our pets prior to the care assignment. We also appreciate Sandy’s willingness to take on a couple extra big asks. It gave us great piece of mind knowing our home and pets were in great hands! Our place was more tidy than the way we left it and Sandy laundered the linens before she left. I highly recommend her! 5-Star care!”

“We are very happy we had Katelyn watch our two dogs for a week! She was communicative, sent as many updates as we requested, kept the pups happy, and was very pleasant to work with. Perhaps the best surprise of all was coming home to our extremely clean home, washed towels/sheets/etc. - which was above and beyond our expectations. Katelyn made our vacation stress-free! We’d definitely suggest her for watching your pets :)”

“Brooke was great! She updated me on how Mocha was and checked in on my travel plans to ensure Mocha was taken care of. He was relaxed enough to chill and nap and I came back to a happy boy :)”

“We are so appreciative for Whitney and the wonderful care she provided for our 2 dogs! The most stressful part of vacation planning for us is finding a dog sitter. This was our first time using a service, and we couldn't be more pleased! Whitney is a thoughtful and compassionate professional! She provided updates and pictures during our 2 week vacation, which was reassuring. We knew our dogs were in good hands. 10/10 recommend!”

About: Hi, my name is Shaima and I’ve had dogs my whole life! Big and small, to fluffy or almost hairless. I’ve been training my own dogs since the young age of 10, with the help of dog training tv shows! Also, I’ve been dog sitting my sisters two beautiful pit bulls for years, as she’s an avid traveler. I’m always up for whatever your dogs want to do! They want to play fetch? Awesome. Want to go for a walk? Be my guest. Nap time? You can never take too many naps. I’m sure I can give your special little pup the most love and attention. I never met a dog I didn’t love! I hope you will pick me to care for your beloved four legged friends.
“Priscilla did a great job with our high energy puppy! She listened to all of our concerns and took great care of her and her needs while we were away. We would recommend her services and use her again!”

“Karla is amazing! I am so thankful we found someone we can trust to stay at our home and watch our dog when we travel. She sends picture updates, is great with communication, spoils our girl while we are gone, and keeps our home fresh for when we return! Highly recommend her 😊”

“Mari did such a good with Bailey! Very responsive, sent us updates when we asked, and she sent us photos and fun videos of our girl. We really appreciated her giving our girl so much love and attention over the Thanksgiving holiday. We absolutely recommend her!”

“Our two pups liked Kimberly from the moment she walked thru the front door. We felt very comfortable having her at our home. When we returned the dogs were happy and our home was spotless. Very pleased”

“Emily house sat for us and our 2 fur babies! She left our home spotless and my two little ones enjoyed her company. She is professional and trustworthy! I would highly recommend her :)”

“Eileen we cannot thank you enough for the care and the love you have gave Sam while we were away! Eileen kept me updated on her and Sam’s day and activities! We have only adopted Sam in July so we weren’t sure how he would do but based on the pictures I would say they both had a wonderful time! We hope to book with Eileen in the future! ❤️🐶🐾”

“Amazing experience with Vicki!! Her communication was great, she was patient & sweet with my 3 crazy dogs, and left our house cleaner than we left it. Thank you ? would definitely recommend!”

“We are so fortunate to have found Jessica. Our big dogs did great while we were out of town. We were kept updated and she took great care of our home and gentle giants while we were away.”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, and caring for them has always been second nature to me. I’m the go-to sitter for friends because I genuinely love being around animals and put a lot of care into making sure they feel safe, understood, and comfortable. During my psychology degree, I completed a minor in Animal-Assisted Interventions and Psychotherapy, focusing on animal behavior, emotional attunement, human-animal connection, and therapeutic support work. My own dog is a huge part of my life. She travels around the country with me and goes almost everywhere by my side. I personally trained her with therapy service dog foundations, which taught me a lot about patience, consistency, structure, and reading a dog’s needs and body language. I'm fortunate that my days are centered around my dog, Bennie. I get up, let her out right away, then prepare her breakfast, and she eats while we start the morning together outside. I’m home most of the time and spend my days in the yard gardening, doing yard work, or working on projects around the property, so she’s with me and supervised throughout the day. I also always make sure there’s some form of engagement or mental stimulation so dogs are never bored or over-energized, whether that’s training, enrichment activities, or interactive play. If I need to run errands, Bennie usually comes with me and stays in the car if the weather is safe. If it’s too warm, she stays home in her calm, familiar environment instead. I’m typically only gone for short errands and make a point of never leaving her alone for long. When we’re not at home, we’re usually outside doing something active- swimming at the lake, going on hikes, going for runs, or taking long walks. Our lifestyle is very outdoors-oriented, and she’s included in almost everything I do Dogs are a huge part of my life, and because I care deeply about providing a safe, low stress environment, I intentionally keep my boarding environment calm and structured. My goal is to give well mannered dogs a place that feels like home, not a kennel. To make sure every dog, including my own dog Bennie, stays safe and happy, I only accept dogs that are a good fit for my home and lifestyle. The dogs I board must be friendly and non aggressive toward people and other dogs, with no history of aggression, biting, resource guarding, or serious reactivity. Any signs of aggression or unsafe behavior during a stay may result in an early pickup request. They must be fully house trained with no ongoing accidents indoors. I understand an occasional accident can happen in a new environment, but dogs that regularly mark, urinate, or defecate indoors are not a good fit. If repeated accidents occur during a stay, I may request early pickup. Dogs should be comfortable in a home environment without excessive or persistent barking. Occasional alert barking is understandable, but they must be responsive to redirection and not fixate on people, sounds, or movement outside the home. Dogs that bark continuously when I leave or struggle to settle with normal household noise are not a good fit. Dogs should be able to relax quietly indoors without excessive vocalizing, as I have neighbors and tenants I respect. Dogs should be able to stay home alone for short periods, such as while I run errands, without destructive behavior or severe separation anxiety. For safety, dogs should ride comfortably in a vehicle if transportation is ever necessary and have reliable recall and respect physical boundaries. Dogs with a history of escaping, climbing, or jumping fences are not a good fit for my property. They should also be comfortable sharing space with Bennie and enjoy appropriate, respectful play. Bennie is always at the top of my mind, and safety is my number one priority. I have a fully fenced, dog-proof yard with a secure gate that is always kept closed. I also have cameras on the property to monitor for wildlife or anything unsafe outside. Inside the home, I use non-toxic, pet-safe cleaning products and avoid harsh chemicals. I’m very mindful of anything dogs could be sensitive to, including what they’re exposed to, what they play with, and what they’re given. I only use safe toys and bones that are appropriate and supervised. Chewing must be under control. I provide plenty of appropriate toys and chew options, but dogs that chew furniture, household items, or damage property will result in an early pickup request. I also reserve the right to request reimbursement for any damage or excessive cleaning caused during a stay. I spend most of my days at home working on my property, gardening, hiking, or enjoying the outdoors with Bennie, so visiting dogs receive plenty of companionship, supervision, enrichment, and exercise. Safety is always my top priority, and I carefully screen each booking to make sure it is the right fit for everyone involved. I understand these requirements may not fit every dog, and that is okay. My goal is not to accommodate every pet. It is to provide exceptional care for dogs that thrive in a calm, structured home environment.
“Riley responded right away to my request to sit in our home with our puppy. He has separation anxiety and she knew how to handle him. She stopped by a couple of days ahead to learn our routine. She was very responsive and communicated when she would arrive before visiting. We would use Riley again as our sitter”

Maddie was great to work with for our long weekend away! She was kind, patient, confident with our dogs, helped with the house and plants, and kept everyone happy and healthy! We would absolutely recommend Maddie for taking care of your pups - and we would definitely use her again in the future! Thank you!

So nice to have Sandy visit our dogs at our RV site in Glacier. We were gone all day and wanted to give the dogs a break mid day! She arrived right when she said sent us photos and a message about her visit with them. Also came the day before to meet them and us! Five stars!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Conkelley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Conkelley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Conkelley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Conkelley. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
