“Martina took such good care of my fur baby, Murray. Her communication was excellent, she regularly sent me pictures and updates. Murray had some separation anxiety and I did come pick him up a day early. But he was sad to leave and started whining when I put my car in reverse to back out of the driveway. We accidentally left behind his water bowl and a toy, when we returned to pick up our forgotten items he ran out of my car, up onto the porch and sat at Martina's front door. He loved staying with Martina and playing with her son”

“We left our 7 month old English Cocker Spaniel, Bo, with Merrell while visiting family in town. He had never stayed with anyone else overnight so we were already a little anxious, but Merrell did a great job welcoming him in and making sure he was loved on. She kept us updated on his status and sent lots of pictures throughout his stay. It worked out well and we are already planning on booking with her again when we visit for Christmas. About: I’ve always had a genuine love for dogs and enjoy making them feel safe, comfortable, and at home. I have experience caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities, and I understand that every dog has their own routine and needs. I provide a clean, safe, and loving home environment where dogs can relax, play, receive plenty of attention, and be treated like part of the family. I’m comfortable following feeding schedules, daily routines, administering basic care, and making sure each dog gets the individual attention they deserve. I have plenty of time to play with them, let them outside, and give them attention throughout the day. I’m also pretty flexible with drop-off and pick-up times and always try to make things easy for pet parents. I want every dog that stays with me to feel comfortable and at home. I have a fenced yard where they can safely go outside, play, and enjoy some fresh air. I always keep an eye on the dogs and make sure everyone gets along. I also follow each owner’s instructions because I know every dog has their own routine and personality.

“We needed a sitter for our dog for a few hours while attending a graduation and we did not know anyone in the area. We found Aiko on Rover and everything worked out perfectly! Our dog can be nervous about going with someone new but she very quickly decided that Aiko would be a good friend. Aiko shared some pictures to let us know all was good and we were able to enjoy the graduation”

About: I’ve been around all types/sizes of dogs! I truly love taking care of animals and always prioritize their safety, care, and needs first! I provide a stress free, calm, environment with low noise and a great fenced in backyard to play in! I have taken care of many of my friends/neighbors pets and also grew up with two dogs of my own so I know all the responsibility it takes! I have also volunteered at my local animal shelter for the past few years where I had to pass a test specifically on caring for dogs and reading their body language! I’m currently in school and working part-time, but in my free time I’d love to spend time caring for your pets! My schedule is also flexible enough that I can do weekly visits as I am very reliable and dependable. I’m dedicated to making your dog(s) feel as comfortable as possible! I’ll always keep them on a leash and be super mindful of my surroundings, double-checking to make sure all doors are closed and their harnesses are securely fastened. I also send daily picture updates and rover cards to keep you in the loop about how much your pet is loved and well cared for!

When we arrived, she made sure she understood all of our preferences regarding eating, sleeping, and socializing.
