Greta was so calm when I picked her up, when normally she seems a little frantic to be back with me (even at my mom's)-- if you're looking for a chill place for your pet to feel at ease, this is it. Natalie also asked a lot of important questions when I dropped off Greta which made it clear she was thinking ahead and trying to create an environment that my girl could be happy in. About: Hi my name is Christie and I am a huge Animal Lover! To me, dogs and cats aren’t just animals they are lifelong companions. 💕 I have many years of experience caring for a multitude of animals (30+ to be exact). As a kid, we had dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds you name it. In high school, I worked for a groomer and learned a lot about how to properly care for different animals. I've always had a passion for rescuing because of my mom and her love of rescuing/saving animals in need of a home. It’s something that she passed down to me. RIP Momma I Miss You! ❤️‍🩹 My philosophy is that every animal deserves to know what love is in its fullest form so that is what I strive to provide to each and every animal in my care. I just recently lost our two oldest rescues dogs named Romeo and our Wheaton Terrier named Hayley. Oh and let us not forget our very outspoken Torti cat named Nala whom we loved dearly. So we rescued our beautiful cat Bella and most recently a sweet 4 month old puppy named Nova. They are my furrkids, my companions, my therapy animals, and my little loves. As a self-employed cosmetologist I am blessed with a flexible schedule which allows me the opportunity to be here to help care for your pet companions in the best ways possible. I am flexible and I am open to helping when & where I’m needed. I have references I can provide from those whose animals I have cared for previously that I will happily provide. Exercise is important to me so we like to spend time taking the animals we care for on long walks or hikes, swimming, or to the park to chase a ball or frisbee. About: I’ve had several pets and worked with livestock over the years. Pepper was our family pet, a Border Collie I trained as a puppy. I cared for Murdoc, a 50lb German Shepherd mix, into his senior years. In 2017, I rescued Circe, a pint-sized black cat, and in 2021, Joey, my sweet senior beagle boy. I feel like I’ve done it all: thorns in the paw, administering meds, emergencies, play time, treat time, training, long walks, car rides, cleaning messes, and more! I work from home, so my schedule is very flexible. I do venture out sometimes, but keep it to four hours maximum. I'm more of a night owl, so I prefer drop-offs after 10am and can accommodate pickups as late as 1:30am. If you need to arrange a drop-off earlier than 10am, need to book without two weeks notice, or I’m unavailable at the start or end of your booking, feel free to message me—I'm happy to see if we can work something out. I only book one dog at a time through Rover. However, I may also be caring for additional dogs through my LLC. If you're booking with me for the first time on Rover, please note that there may be other dogs in my home, other than my own, during your pet’s stay. These dogs are not new to my home—they’re regulars who have been properly vetted and are low- to medium-energy. Your pet is my priority ✨ I am attentive to details, so when a new furry friend comes over, I keep a close watch on how they're adjusting to their new temporary environment. I'm excellent at picking up on even the smallest signs they give off and base my care accordingly to ensure they're feeling comfy right from the start. I have a dog and cat at home and will care for your pet as though it were part of the fam! I have advanced education in communication, so I strive to be transparent about what is going on with your pet, and I expect the same from you before booking. Every pet has quirks, whether your pup needs lots of cuddles or some space to chill, I make it my mission to ensure your pup feels safe, happy, and like they're on vacation during their stay!

About: I had a black lab for eight wonderful years, caring for her and ensuring her happiness until she passed away a couple of years ago. Since then, I’ve gained experience walking and pet-sitting for friends' pets, providing them with love, attention, and exercise. As a flight student at WMU graduating this fall, I have a flexible schedule with plenty of free time. Balancing my studies and part-time work allows me to dedicate my days to pet care. I’m eager to help others by walking their dogs or pet-sitting, ensuring pets receive the attention and exercise they need while I enjoy spending time with them. I live in an apartment and I don’t own any pets . I’m more than happy to stay at the client’s home or make frequent visits to care for their pets, depending on their preferences. About: I used to work as a vet tech while getting my undergraduate degree in animal science. I spent a full summer running my own doggy daycare and have worked in boarding facilities as well. I have experience grooming, giving medication, and plenty of experience with loving on animals!! My home has two dogs who love to snuggle and play, and I would love to care for your pet too! I am working from home currently, so I will have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I set my own schedule, so I can have flexibility with pick-up/drop-off. I have a giant crate (big enough for a great dane) and a small one (big enough for a beagle), but I also don’t mind uncrated dogs. My two dogs will be crated separately when I am not home, unless owner requests their dog have a buddy. Dogs are allowed on furniture and can sleep in the bed if that’s their norm. I have a large fenced in yard.

About: I have taken care of dogs for neighbors and family members since middle school. Currently I walk and care for 2 dogs of a family friends. I grew up always having multiple pets and multiple dogs. We currently have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 Guinea pigs. I completed schooling and worked as a dog trainer for a pet store for two years during college. I also took care of college classmates dogs and cats while they went on vacations. I’m currently a stay at home mom. Boarding your pets would be easy to arrange! At most I am gone for a kids play date or sporting event for 2 hours at a time during the week. On weekends we may have an event that I am away from home for 4 hours. Our dogs are out in the yard at least 4 times a day getting their zoomies out. I have a fenced in yard for your babe to play. Extra small and large dog crates to keep them in during the day or over night. Willing to bathe your dog for $20. We have 2 Pomeranians (1 male, 1 female) to play with your loved one. Please always let me know on your dogs play comfortability with other dogs. Very willing to send videos and work on treat training with your pup if wanted.

About: Hello, my name is Kat, and I am an MFA graduate in poetry from the University of Maryland, but I'm originally from the Bay City / Saginaw area. I am a current PhD student in poetry at Western Michigan University where I also teach English Composition 101. I live in/nearby the Vine neighborhood close by downtown with access to neighborhood walking and nearby dog parks. I'm also happy to take your doggy for a field trip to their favorite dog park or nature trail! I often walk up to 4 miles a day, so I look forward to bringing your dog along for some of the adventure! I am available to feed animals, take care of potty business, provide play time, take them to the park, give them love, brush/groom (with instruction if needed), and give medications depending on your dog's temperament (instructions needed). I may be available for additional services depending on the request / depending on the animal. Cats are my favorite animal and as a lifetime owner of cats, I am often able to work with all of their different personalities and love them for it! Here to provide pets, play time, food, and clean up fur balls, and litter boxes, etc. I can help with medications, too, depending on your cat's temperament (instructions needed!) As a grad student, I have pretty flexible hours during the school year, only teaching one class and then taking classes. I do, however, have my own cat, so I won't be able to do more than three nights away from my home at a time and I will need to be able to return to my home at some point everyday to take care of her and spend at least 2 hours with her, but I will still have plenty of time to spend with your fur baby! Small dogs are welcome in my home! This fall I teach Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:00 am-12:15 pm and have office hours until 1:30 on those days as well. On Wednesdays I have class 6:30-9 pm. My independent studies will create other small nuances in my schedule which may be subject to change, so we can discuss. As a past owner of a skittish, black cat, I'm really good with all cat / animal personalities and have gained patience and intuition in respecting individual animal boundaries and creating trust, and eventually a unique bond. I live on the second floor of an apartment house and have a large balcony for fresh air away from direct traffic and foot-traffic to allow your dog some relaxing outdoor time. I am also an avid walker, often walking 4 miles a day and can guarantee I'll be able to keep your dog under control and engaged.

About: I have spent my entire life surrounded by all types of animals. Growing up with my cats and dogs, i’ve learned the ways that a pet can provide you with more love and friendship than some people ever could. I would do anything for mine the way that i would for someone else’s bundle of joy. i love nurturing animals in any way that they need to see them happy. i’m currently working 3 days a week at Bronson Hospital. my schedule varies and any day that i am not scheduled to work, i will be free to help in any way i can! i can easily feed, water, crate, provide medications if needed and anything else your fur baby requires. About: I've cared for all breeds and sizes of cats, dogs and various other creatures in my life since I was a child. I am trauma informed, science backed, and consent based in everything I do. I am force free/fear free. I don’t use any aversives with any animal. I follow the most up to date animal science and firmly believe that through positive reinforcement and giving animals agency to opt in or out of most situations is the best way to be in relationship with them. I have been caring for animals professionally since 2019, and am very passionate about animal care and am excited to get to know you and your fur babes! My first love was a husky mix named Dutchess. I was a rough and tumble three-year-old and she looked like a furry loaf of bread with rolled up newspapers for legs, who never let me out of her sight until the day she crossed over the rainbow bridge. And thus began my love affair with pretty much all animals. Each pet has their own unique personality and style. I adapt to your pet's needs and wants. If they want cuddles, if they want space, if they want to run around in the back yard and play catch or tug-o-war then that is what we are going to do! My aim is to make them and you, happy with the stellar care they are being given. Animals have always been an integral part of my life, and I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to love and care for them and provide for my own family as well. <3 Animal care and companionship is my life.
