As someone new in town, trusting someone with my furbabies wasn’t easy. I found Brenda on this app and our first meet and greet went wonderfully. She was amazing with my furbabies, and I loved receiving updates on how they were doing. You can truly feel the care and warmth she provides. Brenda gets a 5-star rating and my full recommendation!

About: I’ve been a devoted dog owner for my entire life, and caring for these incredible beings is more than just a job—it's my passion. Friends and family trust me wholeheartedly to love and nurture their furry loved ones when they’re away, and I pour my heart into every moment. Whether tending to lively puppies full of energy or comforting wise, elderly pets, my goal is simple: to keep those tails wagging with happiness and ensure each pet feels safe, loved, and cared for as if they were my own. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so I get to spend plenty of time with pets each day. I usually don’t have to leave them alone for long periods, which is great! I’ve got a fenced-in yard and three super friendly dogs who just love meeting other pups! We enjoy taking neighborhood walks, playing fetch, and having fun tug-of-war matches right in the backyard.

About: I provide a safe, loving home where pets are treated like part of the family! My home has a large yard for plenty of playtime, plus a doggie door so dogs can comfortably go in and out throughout the day. My family has a friendly medium-sized dog who enjoys company, and our neighborhood has sidewalks that are perfect for daily walks and outdoor adventures. Whether your pet loves to play, relax, or cuddle, they’ll get lots of attention, care, and affection while staying with me. I have had a dog for most of my married life, over 30 years and have taken care of dogs through all stages of life. Your pet will be treated like family while visiting with me. I'm currently a stay at home mom and am around the house most of the day. It is rare that I am out of the house for more that a few hours. I strive to make sure everyone is comfortable and want to make sure your dog has a great place to sleep and relax as well. Please let me know what would help your dog be most comfortable. Just let me know and I will do what I can to accommodate as much as I can. I often take walks with my family and can take your dog with us along with ours. If they need more that one walk a day I am happy to make sure that happens as well. I have a doggy door that leads to our back yard that is always available unless there is something unsafe (lawn care, equipment, etc).

About: Growing up I personally have owned both a cat & dog. Both of which I took care of myself as well as I’ve taking care of/watched multiple pets for family & friends. I’m currently free anytime of the week, except for Wednesday evenings for church. I am starting a part-time job soon and will update my schedule accordingly to my schedule. I have a fenced in backyard for your pets roam around freely in & I’m located in a nice neighborhood area with paths for walking. I’m also fine with pet sitting at your house if you’d prefer that, either way I can care for exactly as you like.

Simba had a wonderful day with Mary! He came home relaxed, happy, and without any anxiety. From the updates we received, it looked like he had plenty of playtime and fun throughout the day. He clearly enjoyed his time and came back tired in the best way. We’re very thankful for the great care he received. Highly recommend Mary as a sitter!

About: I have been a professional full time dog trainer for over 20 years. I opened my home to in-home boarding and day care a few years ago and absolutely love it. We treat all the animals that stay with us like they are part of our family until their loved ones come back! I send multiple updates a day, pictures and videos as well. I have many references I can offer you as well! It’s very rare that someone is not home with the animals. We spend our days going outside to play (weather permitting), and playing inside as well. The dogs are allowed to veg on the couch (if that’s allowed at their home!), and enjoy spending time with us! We have a 3 acre fenced yard. The dogs love it very much for running and playing. They are never outside unsupervised for any amount of time! Our property is perfect for endless dog fun. 🐾

About: Dog loving family with many years of experience owning dogs. We have one fur baby, 5 year old beagle mix named Chip. Chip is 26lb bundle of love and playfulness and gets along well with large or small breeds. We have a large fenced yard and I am home full time. I can offer daycare and overnight boarding. I will care for your fur baby as I expect mine to be, like a member of our family. I prefer dogs that are crate trained in case I need to run errands and prefer not to let them run free inside with no one home. We get lots of exercise and cuddle time. Tell me what will make your pup happy and I will do my best to accommodate. I look forward to meeting you soon! I work from home so my time away from your pup will be minimal. We take lots of outside breaks, but, we keep them inside to relax and stay comfortable during harsh weather. I have a large fenced yard and two dogs that play gently with other dogs. I watch them at all times even when outside. They are never left unattended except for short errands and they will be crated during my absence. I have lots of experience with senior dogs and can accommodate their special needs including injected meds. Mini photo shoot is also included with your pet’s stay! I am a stay at home mom so I am almost always at home. We get up early and serve breakfast, have potty and play time, or your pup can relax if that is what they prefer. I have a spacious fenced in back yard for running and playing and my home is pet friendly. Your baby will feel right at home and will be loved and cared for just like my own.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Commerce commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 111 sitters in Commerce, 89% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
